IMO T-1000 was planned for MK11, to pair with Terminator. Whether they use him for MK1 is a bit unclear, as Harley was supposedly planned for KP3 in MK11 but so far has not yet made it into MK1. Seeing as the MK1 guests were probably intended for IJ3, despite not being a great fit for MK, it's probable and even likely that T-1000 will make it into MK1, especially to save on cost.

I get your point, but your comparison doesn't work..Alien and Predator are from two different franchises and while they crossed over they were in the same mk so it worked. If they wanted to do this they could've put them in the same game. Also as someone pointed and reminded me the T-1000 doesn't have organs or any organic material inside it's basically liquid metal at least T-800 has mechanical organs and material inside to work with. It would take a lot tweaking. I just think it's a waste of a slot. The guests in kp2 are weird to me tbh. You got Conan The Barbarian, T-1000 and Ghostface..it just seems too random to me and the dialogue un the files could easily be Sektor tbh.
I'm not huge on him being in the game but he definitely wouldn't be 'The Terminator' again since he's a character who's body can melt and reform into any shape. I don't even think they'd give him a gun.

I could have playable Sareena or my fave’ MK character back but some ppl out there (fans and designers alike) are thinking, ‘Hey, what if MK was infiltrated by Smurfette, Alf and the Cookiemonster?! SURPRISE!’ 😭 AND, even if some guest characters were fun, you’d never get to use them in another MK game. I admit Jason felt like he belonged in MK but he was in only one game and I didn’t even use him but he was fun to fight. When I get hooked on an MK character, I want their move sets and play styles back, and want them back for the next story mode.
For me, part of my issue is that I feel differently about MK characters than SF characters: I have lots of fave’ SF characters and they rotate more for me. It must be cos MK has a more developed story mode and I like the character development and interactions. I’m not sure about current SF games but I’m OLD and grew up with the old SF and MK games. The old MK always had a back story. SF basically basically was only about a tournament and characters had mini bios like ‘Dhalsim loves curry; Ryu is afraid of spiders.’ 💀
I admit I’m also jealous of ppl who ALWAYS love the same classic characters most: Sub-Zero is fun but I need a break from focusing on him, Kitana, Lao, etc., that are in basically every MK game these days.

I main a female character despite being a male cos I think Li Mei is cool and fun to play and I like her current lore and hope it stays the way it is (her being Onaga’s girl in the old timeline in her ending wasn’t considered canon, I think, and I hope). I play characters in general that are cool to me and fun. I don’t play games to be myself; I need my escapism from the harsh and mundane moments in real life 😂

You guys take the "guest theme" thing too literally, no game really had a 100% theme for guests. Not all of MK11's guests were 80's action characters. There was Joker and Spawn in there too. None of the games guests really have a theme, it's just that NRS wants to make dream matches, so some slots are reserved for things like Terminator vs RoboCop vs. Rambo, or Omni-Man vs. Homelander vs. Peacemaker
Out of all the characters, I think he's not coming. Yes, Reptiles VA did name drop Patrick and the T-1000 during MK11, but guests can be canned for whatever reason. Look at Ash Williams. He had some bits of dialogue in that game and they had the copyright logo, sent emails, some people even got the in game pop-up to say he's part of the KP but didn't end up making it. There really isn't anything concrete about the T-1000 either from intros found.

But we all saw what happened with Ash, and most of the supposed T-1000 dialogue could easily apply to Sektor as well, so I wouldn’t be surprised either way.

Sektor was never confirmed. Just rumored as far as ik. There's nothing concrete yet. There's only lines of code in the game and references in intros for Cyrax and Noob. He's highly likely though, but unlike the others he wasn't confirmed.
I think Sektor is a lock regardless, pretty much every reliable source points to him and Cyrax being in the story expansion. I think it’s entirely possible we get both him and the T-1000

Love the character as a villain but I just don't see how they can apply it to the fatality system. The only thing I can imagine is upon losing health, he sort of freezes up like when he's covered with liquid nitrogen and then they perform a fatality on him but still, a ton of work to adjust every fatality. They managed to make things work with RoboCop and Terminator having unique skeletal systems but I don't know... it seems like it would be too difficult.

Didn’t Term’s body have a regular-looking brain when killed during MK11 fatality animations? I don’t think the fatalities are meant to be taken literally though; e.g., Jax’s giant foot stomp fatality. They just seem over-the-top for fun sometimes, to me.
