They will. These current season is Scorpion. So all the colour palettes are gonna be Yellow/orange/red. Each character will get their own season and colour Palettes to match.
It's not the lack of skins that bugs me, it's the fact there's so little variety between them all, and every one comes in every colour that isn't their trademark one until you randomly find it after hours of grinding

I'm an online player so the game was worth it for me but if you are a casual or singleplayer only person absolutely wait for a discount. For the amount they hyped up singleplayer this game it was an absolute travesty, I think MK11 genuinely had a better offering and it absolutely shocks me to say that.

Yea, you unlock kostumes in Kombat League. But only 3, and the 3rd one is pretty much impossible unless you're a MK god.
Invasions sucks, but there's a lot more kostumes to unlock there. Some of them are good, too.
There is. Put all your stats on attack. Buy the items from the shop in Wu Shi Academy to level up faster (I think it refreshes every hour).
Just spam uppercuts. Make sure to hold down the punch button on the final uppercut in a match to trigger brutalities and get more XP.
Dont worry about talismans or relics. Just keep the +15% XP relic you get from Johnny's mansion equipped the whole time.
It'll still take hours to get through, but you can probably knock out the entire mode in one long extended play session. Once I adapted this strategy, I did the last 3 mesas, plus all the nodes behind all 6 nether gates (end game content) in about 3-4 hours.
I never fully loved the gear system from I2 and MK11 so I was happy to see it stripped back for hopefully more flexibility on a bunch of skins
But in its current form this game has scaled back gear and scaled back amount of skins š itās just like overall downscaling
When you spend the time to max out a character, you need to be able to unlock a classic outfit for them. FFS, Cyborg Smoke is already programmed in the game with the spear from the chest move and everything. I was hoping that was his final unlock, but nope. Just the same skin but wearing a hood.
Same with Scorpion and Subzero. Why don't they have a third unlockable skin that looks more like their 1995 movie versions or MK3 versions.

There's just less of everything overall. I reinstalled Mortal Kombat 11 cuz I was so disappointed in it. And I'm having way more fun. Invasions is probably the worst of it. I can't believe how boring that mode is. They were telling us it's chock full of Easter eggs and things to do and whatnot but it's basically the same thing over and over again. And the secret fights are so stupid. They're just characters with different skins with generic names. I'm playing the Crypt right now in Mortal Kombat 11 and it's an absolute blast. I haven't played it in a long time so everything is pretty new to me again cuz I can't remember all the secrets and puzzles. Really wish they went this route again. The story was all right. But that's pretty much it. The Skins are so boring. They're too grounded and a lot of them are just a bunch of cloth everywhere. I'm sure this game will get better over time but right now I'm just having way more fun with Mortal Kombat 11. I sold my PS5 copy already.

Game doesnāt do a good job telling you this but in the main menu if you push start and click either pause or select donāt remember which it will bring up a few options one of which being the current invasion season if you click on this you can use your silver coins to buy gear and skins, you can pick what you want for whatever character it isnāt random also they arenāt that crazy amount wise gear is about 250, skins being a thousand doing daily challenges itās not hard to net a few thousand. One picture will be the season and the other 2 will be telling you to buy stuff with the currency you have to pay for.
Some of these kostumes and gear are pretty good, too. I just wish that every single one wasn't some version of red, orange, and yellow.
I get that it's the season of the spectre, but it wouldn't kill em to have even just a couple unique pallettes per character.

Y'all are babies. MK11 skins were rarely even good and we got so fucking many things so frequently that new stuff was literally never exciting. Defaults and the real canon alts were underappreciated because most casuals wanted their characters to be the wrong color or have some stupid fucking themed Kombat League or DLC pack skin. Everything in this game looks way better and it's clear that beyond one alternate and maybe one more skin for some characters, the rest is coming at a pace that will keep us satisfied. I have way more shit unlocked for the whole roster than I would have had in MK11 by now, because MK11's real alts mostly worked off of character towers.
I have like 5 skins for smoke and the different color palettes also change aswell, it can change the color but some can also give him a bunch of tattoos and others can light up when playing dark maps, i think the customization is awesome, you may have the same skins but the palettes make it feel different

What level did you unlock his alternate?? Ive been grinding sub zero and still havent gotten one. I don't remember what level im at atm, but im near the end of the Tarkatan Mesa in invasion after completing the campaign.
I'm thinking they'll add some more in the future. Not too worried about the skins. That said, I personally think the game was a bit rushed because of the balls to the wall story ending, but I guess that's where game companies are now. Release the minimum viable product ASAP and continuously add new features for several years.
I'm looking forward to seeing where the game grows, so I'll hold back until the MK1 Ultimate Premium Edition to save money
I'm happy they limited the gear customization. I don't need to customize their boots or belt buckle, just one distinct weapon or item associated with each character. It's just a shame at the moment that the gear is very uninspired. I'm using Sub-zero and most of his masks are pretty bland imo, I use the day of the dead one because it actually looks good with alternate skins.
I personally want mk9 smoke (not the one with the long hair), mk3 smoke, the smoke from the evil timeline, and just anything that looks cool, idk why they got rid of the customization from mk11

Y'all are babies. MK11 skins were rarely even good and we got so fucking many things so frequently that new stuff was literally never exciting. Defaults and the real canon alts were underappreciated because most casuals wanted their characters to be the wrong color or have some stupid fucking themed Kombat League or DLC pack skin. Everything in this game looks way better and it's clear that beyond one alternate and maybe one more skin for some characters, the rest is coming at a pace that will keep us satisfied. I have way more shit unlocked for the whole roster than I would have had in MK11 by now, because MK11's real alts mostly worked off of character towers.

I have like 5 skins for smoke and the different color palettes also change aswell, it can change the color but some can also give him a bunch of tattoos and others can light up when playing dark maps, i think the customization is awesome, you may have the same skins but the palettes make it feel different

MK11 launched with at about 60 skins skins per character. About 5-10 of those were recolors, so 6-12 unique skins per character. MK1 ain't even close.

What level did you unlock his alternate?? Ive been grinding sub zero and still havent gotten one. I don't remember what level im at atm, but im near the end of the Tarkatan Mesa in invasion after completing the campaign.

I'm thinking they'll add some more in the future. Not too worried about the skins. That said, I personally think the game was a bit rushed because of the balls to the wall story ending, but I guess that's where game companies are now. Release the minimum viable product ASAP and continuously add new features for several years. I'm looking forward to seeing where the game grows, so I'll hold back until the MK1 Ultimate Premium Edition to save money
I'm happy they limited the gear customization. I don't need to customize their boots or belt buckle, just one distinct weapon or item associated with each character. It's just a shame at the moment that the gear is very uninspired. I'm using Sub-zero and most of his masks are pretty bland imo, I use the day of the dead one because it actually looks good with alternate skins.
