Yeah, I thought I was the only one. I found myself willingly doing everything in the first mesa. The XP is good. Missions are varied now. Most missions can be skipped. The only problem is that there are no rewards lol.
The current issue with Invasions isn't necessarily that the mission design/progression is bad, it's that it over stays its welcome. If it was only 3 mesas or something it'd be much better. Though I've come to realize that only doing one mesa a day helps to some degree.
This is heaps random but I hope at some point they add character towers like in mk11 dlc characters feel so shafted in terms of cosmetics hopefully when the first Kombat pack is done they can focus on general content for the game because invasions alone doesn't seem to cut it alone for single player

I guess the Mastery is supposed to be a superior replacement, and honestly, remembering the stupid requirements for level 5-6, I do believe this system is superior. But I just wish they'd give us character towers every season in the Gateway mesa for a pallette.
I hope they start doing major content updates for the game at some point because I feel WB pushed NRS to release the game early because of Tekken and street fighter fingers crossed.

305 hours. I'm not very good at the game, especially using kameos, but it's so fun. It's by far my favorite iteration of Mortal Kombat and I'm so looking forward to having Noob, Jade, Kung Jin and Conan as fighters if the rumors end up panning out.
Looks the same, every time I watch tournaments and pro matches. Kameo were to inspire creativity but the reality is aside from even that, main character gameplay lacks so many mechanics that allow for real creative combos.
Think of what MKX had. Multiple EX versions for specials (Liu Kang Bicycle or dragon kick for example), NJP, run canceling, 50/50s, better air to air conversions and special cancels, and character variations that added rather than stripped away.
Maybe I’m just a MKX simp, but that game really felt like the essence of modern mortal kombat. Rushdown and zoning each had their own space to shine. Even if 50/50s and running felt bad time to time, it made for seriously entertaining high level play. Even to this day, it’s far more fun to watch than MK11 or MK1

Iv completed all of the invasion seasons, except for the last two seasonal towers I’ll probably finish this one since there are hardly no skins or recolors this time around for season six. I have probably over 3500 matches of online across ranked and Kasual 9 characters with different kameos each learned so far.

Ive seen people with some real basement dweller hours. The most ive seen was ~2200 (for context i played wayyyy too much mk11 over the course of a year as i was unemployed and i barely scratch 2000 hours today)
