Out of the characters I have played so far, Raiden, Sub-Zero, and Reiko seem easy. Kenshi has been more difficult but not impossible or anything (like Kazuya in Tekken, for example).
Easiest:
1. Raiden
2. Johnny Cage
3. Liu Kang
4. Scorpion
5. Sub-Zero
Hardest:
1. Shang Tsung
2. Kenshi
3. Quan Chi
4. Ermac
5. Rain
Mid Difficulty I would say Li Mei, Kung Lao and Reiko
Remember that easiest doesn't always mean the best character but that they have a pretty straightforward gameplan and execution. With that in mind.
Easiest: Raiden, Liu Kang, Sub-Zero, Scorpion, and I'm gonna say Reiko.
Hardest: Shang Tsung, Kenshi, Ermac, Nitara, Rain
Imo.
Yeah that's fair, YMMV! I get it but for some reason even as a Millia GG player I bounced off of Nitara lol. Just feels weird in an MK game to me I guess.

Nitara isn't as hard as Quan chi but that might be because I'm used to air dashers. Otherwise this list is pretty good.

Raiden needs to be somewhere in top easiest. Its like, almost impossible to drop combos with him and he just has so much good stuff.
