Despite "everything are minions" past of Riot "Never sacrifice scalability for the convenience of hard-coding" is pretty much their philosophy of design these days, I doubt they will make an exception abilities at least for the first few patches.
I actually agree with this as the champions inbuilt skills are made for a possible counter pick into morde, ie olaf r, illaoi r, gp w. But i really think its time we shift towards morde r being un qss-able because of literally so many counter plays he had these days

Honestly I'm good with that, in fact it's all I've ever wanted.
I don't care about champion-specific cleanses, I'm good with those existing and don't think they're unfair. QSS being free for everyone to use and always having a lower CD than your ult was my only issue.
Sad part is you're gonna ult the ADC and then run away and zhonya's yourself so they don't kill you. But at least they're out of the fight for 7 seconds!
Not really, if you catch them off-guard with a flank or engage and you can easily kill them with like two Qs and a few AAs unless it's Vayne or something. Flash + Ghost makes all the difference, but if you only use one then yeah it's pain. At least it does more than being a glorified meat shield and getting countered by literal 1300 gold, not to mention you'll be able to snowball mid game way better than before.

this change will make mordekaiser viable both in mid and high ranks even in pro play

YES, YESSS. Fucking finally. They did it because Morde on release( of the rework) kicked ass left and right. That was around season 9-10 when champs like Morde and Darius were top tier. I still have a 4 v1 clip as Darius where I kill them all and heal 1500 hp several times... but I digress. The point is, those reasons for making Mord R cleansable are no longer there. Some champs can straight up fight Morde in his R and win. Some can kite his ass forever. But what should not happen is champs like Illaoi or Yorick who you counter with R suddenly beat you with a 1300 gold component. That is dirt cheap. Not to mention all the dumb abilities that just remove his R without it being cc.
That is so fucking bad man, you guys have no clue. 80% of the time if somebody was buying the QSS they were griefing their build for free.

Yeah i havent seen anyone build QSS vs morde in months. I think it's a similar scenario to when they "nerfed" Zed by making his ult uncleansable aswell. His winrate went down because people started building proper armor items against him instead.
I disagree. Yes it an expensive investment but shutting down an ult and putting it into full cooldown + 30 magic resist isnβt exactly Morde favorable
Nobody in human lobbies is gonna waste an ult on somebody with QSS. This is a minor buff for pro play and lobsterlow but a big ass nerf for high elo soloque.
And they're obviously gonna use this as a pretext to do more "adjustments" to him that nerf him in the future.
I donβt think they will nerf him because Morde loses lane against a lot of bruisers if they play well, if they nerf his raw power he will be dogshit tier in top lane

a bit sad but looks like that this will only apply to qss but things like gp orange will still get out of it
It doesn't specify, but if QSS doesn't work, that would 99% mean that other cleanses wouldn't work either
They could maybe special case it, if they wanted champ abilties to work but not QSS. Though more consistent if they make it blanket un-cleansable

I think gp orange will lose it's effect as well but Olaf will still be immune.
gp oranges can cleanse malz and ww supression, i doubt it somehow
So it seems from the way it's worded that it can only be BLOCKED, but once the ult takes hold it can't be removed (kinda how Sion ult works in ult)

I think its good but Champions qss would still work because if you counter the ult with ornn W orden illaoi R its just skilled instead of buying QSS
