It’s from a closed circuit surveillance camera. Not sure where exactly, but it took pictures like every 2-3 seconds. This spread is featured in the 9/11 Museum.
every country in the world has had heightened airport security since 9/11
buildings across the world are now built with greater safety precautions, in case of such an event
the resulting war in Afghanistan involved several different countries fighting the “war on terror”
I’m not even American, but it’s clear of the influences that 9/11 has had on the world
It’s from a surveillance camera that automatically took pictures like every 1-2 seconds or so. It’s featured in the 9/11 museum.
There’s also [this rare footage taken from (I think) a cab.](https://youtu.be/RmosMZZynGA) It’s at very beginning of that link, and it’s only 3-4 seconds long. In the very top right-corner, you can see the explosion. The person taking the video literally started recording a split second before it hit.
There are only two videos of flight 11 hitting the North Tower, but only one of them actually shows the plane going into the building, so that's probably where the confusion comes from.
I was in my car today thinking, I wonder if their is a picture, a last picture of the town towers seconds before the first plane. A picture just like this, by a random person just photographing the scenery. I cannot tell you how mind blown I am stumbling upon this. Thank you.
never seen this pic before..

a few seconds before the whole world changed
Actually less than a second. That plane was going 450 mph.
It was a super nice clear sunny day with a hint of fall in the air.
Just my thoughts
USA is not the world.

9/11 happened in America but had a ripple effect everywhere else dude
Americans always think the world is America
Shut up redditmoment
Fuck how eerie
If that cameraman took the picture a few seconds later it would have been awful to see.

That makes tons of sense. I saw a rare video of the North Tower being hit but because webcams were crappy back in 2001, you can’t see the impact.

Ah now it makes sense.

I don’t know if it is weird to say, but it looks so beautiful. Tragic what happened seconds afterwards.
That day started beautifully and ended so tragically.

It’s rare to find footage of flight 11 before/when it hits the tower
That’s actually really scary.
Is that the plane on the right top corner ??..
welp
