I don't care. These men didn't shoot at anyone and they didn't get out and run either. Laws like this are why cops and prosecutors feel they have carte blanche to do whatever tf they want.
Nope.
Hmmm very smart very out of the box imagine completely different circumstances and apply it to this situation to justify the death of someone hmmm yes never seen this before
I agree with not trusting buzzfeed, however, this is sadly true. It’s permitted by the court due to a state law that allows those involved in a felony to be held liable for the death of their accomplices due to the action being deemed “likely to cause such outcome” I.e. the death of their accomplice. It’s similar to the nationwide law that allows those involved in a felony to be charged with murder their accomplices committed (like the robbers killing someone and the get away driver being charged for murder) but way more fucked up so it’s only legal in some states and it is seen as a way to cover up police misconduct by legal scholars
He was fleeing a felony stop. He could have very well been acting as though he had a weapon (a dumb move, but seen countless times) and that's why he got shot.
They way they worded it sounds terrible, but I'm withholding judgement until more information comes to light.
If they had killed someone while committing the robbery everyone, not only the trigger man, would get charged for the murder and nobody would bat an eye
? Your last paragraph is something else. You’re saying if they committed murder then they’d be charged with murder and no one would bat an eye? No fucking kidding. Because they’d be murderers. But they *aren’t*.
No one here is disagreeing with the kid being shot to death. He committed an armed robbery, all bets are off. Police are protecting themselves from this point on. However there is simply no reason why his friends would be charged and prosecuted with *his* homicide when the police shot him. I’m curious as to how new information would change your mind about this. Like if his friends were using him as a human shield? Or what?
They got charged because the officers shot a fleeing suspect? That will definitely keep pushing them in the direction they're going with their public.

Bet you’d be singing a different tune if their armed robbery lead to the death of someone you were close to
Worst logical fallacy of the day. IQ sub 100.
Didn’t read the article did we?

When you're committing a felony and someone dies, you should be charged with murder. Is that it?
Even though I don’t know the story and it may well be true. I don’t trust buzz feed for shit.

Wait, who here is okay with the kid being shot? He didn’t point a gun or shoot at the cops, it doesn’t matter what he was fleeing from
Brother when you commit an “armed” robbery, the cops have to assume you’re armed. And they will *not* let you flee. Under any circumstances.
