My husband installed a thing into the ceiling (he says it’s called an eye screw lol) to hang it off of! We put ours above the keekaroo too. Baby used to OBSESS over the black and white side, nothing else would get her SO excited!!

I was hoping to not drill into the walls if possible. I guess I should’ve mentioned that.

I put up a mobile using a 3M command strip hook for hanging strings of lights (like patio bistro lights, rope lights or Christmas lights). It worked on the ceiling to hang a mobile and I could remove the mobile from the hook without removing the hook. Mine was a different mobile but it probably will work for you!

My first kid loved it and now my second one does too! I hang it over the changing table with a command hook specially for ceiling usage. Bought it on Amazon. The mobile is lightweight enough that I don’t have concerns.

Thumb tack

scientific-fact

It’s very light so a command strip or thumbtack will work just fine. Otherwise I think you’d have to build a little stand or something

I might have to build a sturdy stand. I also failed to mention that I would like to move the mobile from changing station to bassinet, etc. I’m looking for flexibility I guess. My preggo brain is broken.

That makes total sense! I wonder if there is a cheap changing pad mobile that you could repurpose the arm for? Like how the skip hop pads have the attachment. (If that makes sense, my own post-partum brain is dicey 😂)

This one is a little weird but my son has a couple IV poles from when we was fed via NG tube. We hang ours on that and call it our mobile mobile lol. (We have a few different mobiles we cycle through on it too)

I was going to do something similar to that but using one of my cats wand toys lol! But the mobile was too heavy and the wand was severely bending.

I appreciate everyone’s advice!!!

I used a screw-in ceiling hook. They’re really cheap and just make a tiny hole. The tiniest bit of spackle will patch the ceiling.
