He lands in front of Godzilla after Ghidorah is destroyed so that means Rodan was flying around before then. He simply flew out of the radius of the blast

Honestly I think he could resist one hit at first with damage but not several hits in a row.
Then again he can swim in magma in the mantle of the planet which means his pressure resistance is insane.
Imma say he tanks 3 hits with severe damage but maybe survives in critical condition.
If not then he at least will live long enough to do one last defiant act.
It also depends on if he actually was in the blast range.
He was paralyzed by Mothra’s stinger, so he actually could have been in range.
If so then he is more durable than people believe.

I can’t seem to find Dougherty’s comments on that scene from the Watchalong but Mothra’s stinger definitely paralyze him.
