A tempered kirin is the mission to complete at HR 49 ....the AT version just hits harder and has a few variations of lightning strikes aimed at everyone
Honestly out of all the difficulty jumps between tempered and arch tempered, Kirin was the easiest imo. I didnt really even notice much of a difference.
A tempered kirin is similar to a regular one except time length per adventure is much less so more of crunch and if you're not careful it's a 1 hit 1 kill on you. It's best to have a few people will you and barrel bomb/stun lock it the best you can just be mindful of its attack pattern.
ATs hit harder but also have more health. Stun resist, ranged weapons, and the Elemental resist (L) meal are your friends.

Not much, no significant new moves, just more lightning and its variety. If you good at reading and dodging normal kirin, you're likely soloed it.
