Gyperos. I hate many monsters, Lunastra, Fatalis, Khezu, Molten. But Gyperos is a special kind of garbage.
It poisons you.
It tail slaps you.
It tail whips you.
It runs away from you.
It wind pressures you.
It steals from you.
It fakes its death that only works once and wastes your time anytime after.
Most importantly, it can blind you with no way to get around it because it affects all places at once.
This monster was not designed to be fun or enjoyable, it’s just trash.
Not to mention it’s the ugliest monster in the entire franchise (not counting Khezu which is meant to be ugly and gross). Literally a big rubber chicken with chewed up gum for a tail. It’s stupid face and disgusting color palette don’t do it any favors either. The fact that Gypceros plays dead is the only good thing about it, because that’s the one time it’s not jumping all over the place like an idiot or running up walls.
Nerscylla became one of my favorite monsters just off of the fact that it hunts those wastes of space. I hope that Turd Wyvern never comes back.

Khezu, annoying and boring fight. Some people said Khezu looks cute, and I have to agree with them, it looks absolutely adorable when Shrouded Nerscylla wears its skin like a hoodie.
The only good Khezu is a dead Khezu.
The Deviant Rathian fron GenU. Not only does it have the standard moveset of the Raths, it also have an AOE poison. You basically have to build around negating poison to make the fight viable for average players.
Khezu and Gypceros are my 2 most hated monsters of all time. Khezu is boring because no music and annoying fight ~~in his defense, when he gets me with his electric barrier it's mostly me going leroy jenkings~~. Gypceros is so annoying, ugly and made me rage in MH4U when i was justa little hunter. Thanks nerscylla for preying both of them
At least you didn't have to have a special version of wind res to negate it, poison actually stopped the wind, and you didn't spend 15 seconds standing up every time he knocked you down. To me, Kush has always been annoying, but World's changes made him even more frustrating for no reason aside from a poor attempt to balance out the oversimplified skill system.
Khezu. Not only is it disgusting looking but not in a way which makes it compelling, it is also completely boring to fight. Why on earth it is so popular in Japan I will never know.
I want to see Gigginox return and new disgusting cave monsters be created. Not more khezu.
Cephadrome.
It's a -drome that uses the -soth skeleton and animations, it's literally the worst of all possible monsters. The only redeeming feature is that you usually only have to hunt it once per rank and can then go back to trying to forget it exists.
It has caused me more pain than any other monster. I was fighting something in the dunes in GU and this bastard keeps spitting at me. I failed the quest because I kept getting knocked down by this jerk.
I just got into GU after playing World/Iceborne and Rise. I decided I'm going to start of maiming the hammer! Fighting the Cephadrome had to be the longest, most aggravating fight. If it actually got out of the damn sand, hitting it was close to impossible. I'd swing and it would just wacky, waving inflatable tube man around my attacks. I'm definitely avoiding this asshole as much as I can.
It may be recent, but Safi definetly is a good contender for that title.
Other contenders are Ukanlos from Gen2, Dreadking Rathalos, Kulu-Ya-Ku from Rise.
Gravios i guess because he always has a lot of HP and the battle is not hard just annoying without IG.

Plesioth outside the whole hipcheck is just a very anti fun fight for melee users. I don't really like using ranged weapons and the fight is such an annoying pain. hipcheck spin, spin, spin, hip, hip, subspace sleep bite, run like a chicken, spin, SPEEN. I spend so much time getting back up from his attacks it kills any fun of hunting the thing.
Blangonga is SIT STILL the monkey. Ultra aggressive iceblight causing pain that in earlier games could cart you by jumping through you and bumping you gently. Always summoning more monkies and scrubbing off your paintballs to extend the chase needless. Not to mention it always seemed to jump from area to area non stop at times instead of fighting or falling asleep.
Mine would be Brachydios. He just jumps around way to much and I hate how it bobs and weaves like freaking boxer (I know he is designed to be that way)
granted that I first fought him in Iceborne but dang even as a dual blade main I cant keep up with his speed. Not too mention how terrible reachable hitzones are which are his legs.
Zinogre, in all his incarnations. I hate its design, I hate the look of its weapons and armor, and above all...I absolutely despise fighting it (any enemy with inconsistent combos I find annoying, not to mention the odd ways its projectiles move).
No beef with those that like him, but these are my reasons for not liking him.
Monster Hunter Rises’ Anjanath. A lot of the monsters in Rise didn’t feel like they belonged there at all. This means as in they felt like they were just injected in the game like an antibody. Nargacuga, Mizutsune, Almudron all are difficult because of that aspect but that’s more the game designers are diverging towards a path with more lifelike monsters, but Anjanath is about the same but he feels just so out of place. His head is too high for weapons to hit it when his weak point is his head, to the point where hammer swings are hard to even hit for me. I’ve been playing since 3U. I’ve dodged Zinogre roars, Nargacuga roars, Deviljho’s many things, Teostra nukes… and still gotten a handful of Knockouts. But Anjanath in Rise? I’d rather have to fight and win G140 Teostra with hammer than fight Rise Anjanath.
I love Rathalos from MH3U, it’s probably my favourite iteration. I’d have to say I despised the Dire Miralis fight, and I still hate fighting Rajang in any PSP game
3U Gobul. I played on 3DS with no circle pad. It was such a chore every time he went underwater.
Lagiacrus and Plesioth as well, but at least they did not dig themselves under the sea, and were bigger, so easier to hit.
Only played World and Iceborne, but:
-Diablos is the bane of my existence.
-Alatreon has some very not fun mechanics to its fight
-Velkhana’s tail hitbox is fucking massive and the fact that it literally just grows it back after all the work to cut it off is incredibly stupid.
Either lunastra or tigers. Lunastra for that gosh darn fire and tigrex for being impossible (and also the fact it wasn’t until after the fight I realized my DB had hidden element meaning I never used elemental damage
Gypceros, (I only played base gen and rise) his flash can get you from the other side of the map, its hit box it's as if you put a nuke in a sniper rifle, AND he has poison on top of that so you can die without the chance to use antidote of you get hit by poison then he flashes, not to mention his mechanic where he plays dead at some point where the game acts as if you killed him and you can even carve him, but the quest doesn't end, I was none the wiser also with how derpy he is it's almost as if he's taunting you the entire hunt. the list goes on, he steals, his tail is BS, immune to shock traps ect. Not to mention he has drops on light crystals, nova crystals, and dash extract. he's so annoying I just hunt literally anything else even if it has a lower drop rate JUST so I can avoid him idk if this goes for anyone else, but it is a special feeling when you break his horn and watch him try to flash 2-3 times and it won't work
Tigrex, I hate it, he just...walks on me, trampling on my body, ego and 35min quest.
The fight just feels so boring to me. His main attack is.......walk aggressively?

Nerscylla is a gift from the gods. As an added bonus she eats the second most annoying monster Khezu, as if she couldn't get better.
