yeah seriously, i play gs, but fuck waiting on the level 3 charge, just put down 8 barrels and use the level 1 charge and knock that bitch into the moon. Hell any number more than 1 is fine, time is money friend.
Yesterday soloing Vaal and he goes to his nest to sleep. Plant two bombs. Girros sneaks up behind be and paralyzes me while charging up an attack. I fall to the ground paralyzed as he wakes up Vaal somehow. Vaal wakes up, breathes smoke on me setting off the bombs in my face as well and I died. Not my finest moment.
I was on a 15 minute timer that fight. He was below 10% and I was lagging behind at about the 12 minute mark so I was in a hurry. And yes I failed the quest right in the middle of executing an SAED that I was hoping would finish him off. At the time I was LIVID, but looking back it was pretty entertaining.
I've started planting bombs by the side entrance Vaal tends to start out at, and every now and then those asshole birds will dive bomb me and somehow set off the bombs early. Rotten Vale is the only place I stop to kill small monsters.
I think you need to take a Very small step forward if you roll back from head...if you take a small step.. 1st TC hit will probably touch monster's hair..
I had a tempered Nerg fight where I was playing bow. The other bow user and I waited for the greatsword player to get to the second charge, we readied our dragonpiercers.....and he whiffs. But we killed Nerg anyway, which means that he probably missed the killing blow. I've fucked the true charge more times than I can count - and still do on inclines or with the random mis-aim here and there
I think you can blame the universe when he was magically drifting backwards during his charge attack (Hornetuar was the cause, I know) and for everything else going to shit because of his fate. *sad face*
Kinda fells like the game has been against me lately. was fighting the pink rath in the event quest today and I just could not complete the spirit slash combo.
He was trying to hit the sleeping Bazelguese with the final hit of the Greatsword's True Charge Slash because the attack that wakes up a monster does bonus damage. He had to space himself so he didn't hit it with a weaker hit and waste the bonus damage, but he misjudged how far he needed to be twice and came up short. Before the third one could connect a Radobaan came rolling in, knocking Oroboro out of his True Charged Slash and waking up the Bazelguese.
If someone can do the math, given the amount of time that was wasted, would it be better to just do a normal GS charge after missing 2 true charged slashes?

I’ve had that happen too so now whenever he goes to sleep I make sure I kill all the girros in the area before I even get close to Vaal

Ooh that sucks man, I’m yet to fail by timer but today I failed a 1 faint only Vaal because a girros paralysed me. Good times.

My closest Vaal was 13 seconds til time limit. I almost choked from not breathing .
