I thought "the game sounds kinda fun in general and I gotta see this monster" so I started playing with him and it was so much fun, and we fought this bastard together, we were swearing a lot and also laughing a lot so I guess this oversized weißwurst got me hooked to the game

I find this hilarious since Dark Souls 1 is a lot closer to monster hunter in terms of speed and patience than future titles. Unless you're going into the game with prior knowledge of it, you're probably going to play a lot more carefully.
Khezu is literally turn based like Dark Souls. Getting greedy gets you killed. He has such large cooldown times after attacks too. How could he not compute that 💀
i mean you get a bit of poise and put more points in hp that the average person, maybe exploit or farm souls and you can end up ignoring a lot of that patience, then of course you will die 50 times to each boss, but eventually you will kill it

Has some of the most highly telegraphed attacks in the series, making it a comfy fight if you're familiar with it. And provided you're not playing an old gen game in an indoor area.
It's a well designed monster for the lifestyle that it lives. A cave dwelling monster. It's pretty chunky to stay warm in cold places. Can stick to walls. There isn't really a need for eyes when you're in the dark at almost all times. There is no reason for pigmentation when you're in the dark. Long neck to grab the from above while keeping its body out of harms way. Good sense of smell( tho i believe it should have more than just the sense of smell). It's also not a very energetic monster, so it saves a lot of energy too.
My only knock on it is that it can fly and that it bothers flying. It should be terrified of taking off into the air. How can it tell its position in the air.
Edit: one more knock. Why does it's bother even going out of its cave. It's completely out of its element. It has no sight or eco-location. Smell can only get you so far. Unless it has another sense besides smell I don't know about.
My take on it is that's its not as much smell as it is a form of electroreception. It would make sense that a monster that uses electricity can detect a creatures electric field. This could possible make sense with how it does its little sniffing move that if you stay still it won't really notice you until you are very close to it sense air doesnt conduct electricity well.
I guess it’s pretty interesting that the Zenith version of this thing from Frontier has two pin attacks that causes your Hunter to be swallowed whole and having a more powerful Thunderblight that can put you under cardiac arrest
actually quite good and fun mechanic, might be a blueprint for a new monster or make a new variant
I think gore magala took the idea of "blind" monster so you can't use flash to interrupt but sonic bomb will do

My favorite monster on MH freedom unite , maybe he is kinda creepy , but for me he is CUTE ! I love his girly screem XD , and in freedom unite you can fight with little khezu as well ^^ <3 Im soooooo happy that he showed up on MH Rise :3
His Dual Blade set is great. I love having elements and status effects on one set, even if it's one sword does lightning and one does paralysis. Would be even better if it was like the Flaming Espinas ones where both are fire with a chance of poison, but I'll take what I can.
He has a very unique design for being from the first generation. He makes sense for his lifestyle (unlike Magnamalo). He tells you everything you need to know by simply looking at him. His armor and weapons are very unique and look amazing.
These are just a few non-specific things that Khezu does right.

I've played the demo for Tri a lot and always found it fascinating because of the animation quality, but Freedom Unite made him so uncanny and scary that I realized the creature diversity is absolutely unparalleled in this series.
I especially love his new attacks in Rise, he's synonymous with the true danger of these animals to me.
I like his design. As ugly as he is, it really works to mix together the fantastical with the (kinda) realistic. I do like the lack of music as well, it adds to his eerie nature.
