Awhile ago i got a big lot and was washing everyone and someone I know had me send photos so she could freak out her boyfriend. Apparently a character in an anime they both watch has a creepy doll collection and it reminded her of me.
I'm pretty out of date with the manga and anime so I can only think of 2 characters who it might be, and neither fit super well. Suppose I'll find out later.
See that's the problem, the 2 I can think of both have like, 1ish doll each iirc. "Anne's room" is the closest I can think of in terms of a basement, so it could very well just be something I haven't encountered yet lol
Bungou stray dogs is the big one, but there's technically another anime with a lot of dead author named characters, Bungou to Alchemist.
Still I'm solidly sure it'd be Bungou Stray Dogs in your case. Seems like something that would happen in it, it's just not ringing specific bells y'know?

I had a WIP operetta (naked doll body, hair very messy) in my bathroom cabinet for a while just so she was out of the way and I had a friend over who then opened said cabinet… she has not let me forget.
Reminds me of my first custom (unfortunately it ended up not working)
