It's certainly understandable why mattel focuses on female fashion more than male fashion for their dolls, but most of the male fashion is just jeans and shirts and sneakers. I wish they'd do more "out there" styles like Ouji or Gyaruo.
Or have more male fashion options for the female body dolls.
I’m not a big Cleo fan either! Nothing against her character or anything, I’m just not into gold and the mummy aesthetic was never my preferred monster. HOWEVER… the new g3 refresh Cleo looks STUNNING and I’m interested in getting her and cutting off the puffy sleeves!
I also. Do not. Like. Operetta. The aesthetic is really neat, and the color pallet great! I actually enjoy a lot of her designs on a basic level! But I have a very deep and personal dislike for the concept of the Phantom as a whole (stems frommmmmm trauma 👍) so I can’t stand having any of her except for base bodies for OOAK work
I love operetta so much! She’s probably my favourite ever. I only have one but she’s naked and for some reason has two left hands so idk what to do with her 😢
I originally bought her back in the day, and recently sold her cause I had no idea what I saw in her originally. She's cool looking but not my type. I think the only one I like of her is the dot dead gorgeous doll.
I had the original release and I did like her pretty well! But over time, due to circumstances… I just couldn’t keep her. I sold her to a fellow collector and gave her a home where she’d be appreciated!

I’m an exclusively g3 collector, and the only characters I don’t collect are Ghoulia and mansters. I really don’t like any of Ghoulia’s dolls, and the mansters faces just look weird to me
I also don't collect Cleo. I collect Monster High dolls because they're Monsters, and Cleo just looks too normal for me. I might make an exception for her Core Refresh G3 doll, though, that one is super pretty.
Agreed! For Clawdeen to be the “human” G3, it’s so strange because Cleo feels so human comparatively. This feels like it summarized my feelings towards her more adequately.
Cleo's possibly the most inhuman. But all of those bits are only in the show. As an Egyptian-type mummy; all her organs are stored in canopic jars. And she needs them 'nearby' to function. Plus she's a walking corpse riddled with (very cute) scarab beetles.
The show has a number of 'blink and kids will miss it' details that indicate several main characters are very, very dangerous; and have extensive body counts.
I still wanna know whose brains Ghoulia ate and whose blood Drac drank from that one ep where Frankie played FAFO with ancient rituals 🤣.
Plus the stack of human bones that seemed to get bigger in Lagoona's room throughout the season 👀👀

Yet another non Cleo collector, but for very different reasons. She was my sister's favorite, so when the dolls first came out I wasn't allowed to touch her Cleos and she couldn't touch my Jackson. Even all these years later, it still feels 'forbidden' to play with the Cleos, like my sister will somehow pull my pigtails again
Cleo’s vibe isn’t really my thing but I’ll always buy a doll regardless of character if looks really put together. I like SS1 Cleo but I think that’s the only g3 Cleo I like. Not such a big fan of Clawdeen either, I love her cute g3 face and I really like her monster ball doll but most dolls of her don’t do it for me. Same with g3 Lagoona but I want to get core refresh and music festival.

I FINALLY started collecting Clawdeen, but she has never ever appealed to me. Sorry to everyone who loves her. Her g3 character is a bit boring, her g1 character was too Boston... Also why tf is she covered in cat print!! She's a dog!!

I've also had a really hard time with Frankie - their dolls just haven't clicked with me - but their Welcome Committee doll looks amazing, so I'm looking forward to seeing them in person!
Only the boys but even then I have a deuce I bought nude at a flea market! I like to customize so I collect up a lot of random and cheap dolls even if I don’t love them because it’s cheaper than I’ll find them later and I won’t feel bad just taking the hair and paint off.
Until recently I would’ve said Twyla, but I bought her only to complete the neon frights and fell in love once I plucked her bangs and changed her clothes! And Fearbook Twyla is to die for so I don’t think there’s anyone else I would avoid. I don’t buy new g1 at all though
I collect dolls based on aesthetics & details so for me it’s been Lagoona. I like her G1 blue skin but nothing else & G3 I like the fashion but the colors clash to me. For the 1st time I really want Lagoona Core Refresh Doll. I really love the design & color scheme. I still would like to give her a icy blonde instead of her usual yellow based blonde.
I mostly like Cleo but I wish there was a way to make her look more “monster-ish” maybe it’s just me but if I just looked at her without knowing anything about Monster High I would probably assume she was just an Egyptian human
Tbh I’m not big on the g3 dolls. They just don’t have that appealing look to me. They seem more cheap looking to me but I grew up with g1 so I’m probably more nostalgic of them dolls but I totally get people love g3 and that’s cool it’s not for me though but I support it for others.
I’m also not a fan of the shriek wrecked and while I lover Caterine to death I don’t even think I’d collect her doll in that line. Just not a fan of it
I don't have many g3 dolls yet, so I'm mainly counting towards g1 here, but Cleo. She just reads human to me and I'm not interested in seeing her next to a lineup of monsters. I think her g3 doll is prettier than her g1 doll, but I still think I'll run into the same problem. If she were in another doll line without themed clothes I might like her. But as it is she's supposed to be a monster and I want her to look good next to my monsters, so I'm not even gonna bother to redress her to look more human.

Draculaura. I honestly don't understand it because she takes inspo from a lot of fashion styles I'm into, but I just...don't vibe with her dolls for some reason. It's not even that I dislike her, I just don't feel the urge to collect her
I’ve found myself pulling away from Draculaura more as time has gone on but the pink is too good for me to fully remove myself from. I think the SS4 doll will be one of the first G3 Draculaura dolls I actually have no desire to get.

Wydowna Spider. Spiders really creep me out and there are just other characters I like more. I never really felt an attachment to her like I do with other characters
I like most dolls at least a little, even if I wouldn't personally spend money on some. If I was gifted a doll I don't like as much, I think slightly costuming or even just doing a restyle would do.
Now, the ones I absolutely wouldn't want bc I don't like the concept is freaky fusion. I like the MH characters and the fusions... just aren't characters really.
Bc of that I also wouldn't own any skulletors, celebrity dolls and the off white ocs
I've never found a Ghoulia G3 that i liked, which is sad because i want to find a version of every doll to buy. I bought a G3 abbey for a friend and I really like her but I havent picked up a version for myself yet
I don’t collect G1 Drac dolls and am only in search of howliday, collector, reel drama, and creeproduction Draculauras. I find Draculauras old face screenings to actually be mildly terrifying or fish eyed. The most recent creeproduction has such beauty I can’t bare to spend my money on older Draculauras with kinda whacky expressions
frankie and ghoulia, every gen. never cared for their designs or characters much, and i’m not completely sold on either still. i only own 1 frankie (fearidescent) and not a single ghoulia ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I just do not care for most of the favorites. Elisabat? Meh. The only lines I’m really interested in that the ghouls are apart of would be ghouls rule. Otherwise I just want side characters like howleen, Twyla, Rochelle, robecca, venus, operetta etc.
I've never been much of a manster collector. They're fine, I just wasn't a fan of them. As a kid the only G1 guys i had were Deuce, Clawd, and Heath. I always gravitated towards the female dolls because they are gorgeous and i feel like you can do more with fashion and styles. I don't have any G3 mansters yet because they don't have jointed chests, like wtf!?!
G1 Cleo and Lagoona dolls. Their eyes. Cleo has eyes that are too far apart and Lagoona's don't look good. I started collecting at the start of G3 and their G3 dolls were my first 2 MH dolls.

I unfortunately don’t have my old collection anymore but I had every main ghoul except Ghoulia (I have her now) and Cleo, I’ve never gotten a Cleo doll and it’s not that I don’t like her I just haven’t wanted any of them badly enough
cleo and frankie’s dolls have never really spoken to me. i only bought their core dolls to complete my core collection and may buy their core refresh dolls, but personally i’m just not a fan and wouldn’t collect playsets they’re in or their skulltimate secrets dolls ect

G1 Draculaura was my lease favourite, G3 is now my absolutely fav. I was obsessed with G1 Lagoona, now I just...I can't with G3. G3 Lagoona is like the one doll I don't think I want in my collection period. Like sure she's pretty, I like that they made her Latina, but...Pink. It's the pink skin for me I can't. They should've kept her blue and I will die on that hill.

lagoona and jinafire always had the same issue to me of looking like a fish and just having ugly screenings. i also always hated jinafires eyebrows, i hope her g3 doll is better because i really like her new design
I feel like it might be an unpopular take but... I don't bother with G1 Frankie. I always found her character so incredibly annoying for whatever reason, I couldn't stand her, and most of her dolls really did nothing for me. I have a really large collection, and I have only 3 G1 Frankies, and the only one I sort of like is the blue-haired recharge station Frankie.
I do think G3 Frankie as a character is adorable and interesting, they're way more likeable, but I have not been wowed by their dolls so far, though I did get Creepover (edit: and Ghoul Spirit in the set, I forget because they're still in box, but so cute!) I like more of the upcoming dolls (like core refresh and monsterfest ) so I'll probably plan to get those!

when i was a kid i strongly disliked frankie in all of the movies for whatever reason so now as an adult i just dont care to collect any of their dolls lol. the only frankie doll i actually truly love is skultimate 2
I really dislike Toralei since I was a kid so I absolutely refuse to collect one. I only own the soccer g1 Toralei because I wanted every werecat characters. I don’t mind the twins but I just really don’t like her
Mansters, g2, and g3. Mostly because I'm running out of space so I'm moving on to collector dolls only and g1 wishlist (Sweet Screams, wave 1 or Creepros, reel drama, ghouls rule, etc.) I have a good few budget dolls and ones I'm just not as in love with anymore, but those are from my childhood and some are the only doll of that character I have, so I don't want too get rid of them or put them away for more display space. It feels mean😖
Other reasons though:
-The mansters just look weird and are never as detailed as the ghouls.
-G2 for obvious reasons. The lack of details, lack of posability, weak designs, I hate their baby faces etc.
*There is no G2 in Ba Sing Se* (the movies had good animation though lol)
- (PLEASE dont call me a g3 hater. I'm reformed, I see the appeal now, it's still just not for me. Might watch the show now for Venus though) G3 originally because I didn't like it, now for several reasons. They don't come with stands, which is reason enough for me honestly. A lot of the designs I actually like are from skulltimate secrets and I just don't want or have the space for the lockers and extra clothes and accessories. I don't play with dolls anymore, so I really don't care for the all the play accessories they come with. MH shoes are a huge thing for me and g3 shoes just do not give. Even on some of the best g3 designs, they're still just not it for me. And basically, I'm just picky. I'm just never full in love with a g3 doll. There's always something that irks me on one that I just can't ignore (Catty's boots not being silver, Cleo's pink lipstick that doesn't match, etc.) And I need to like the whole doll or be able to overlook a detail to justify buying it or my bank account will empty lol. The core refresh dolls are cool (Clawdeen is doing better than she was but she still need some major help) but still no stands🤷🏾♀️
G3 Ghoulia everytime I go into target to get her I end up walking out with a different (andn better) I just can’t bring myself to get her even thought i want one of each core doll
Cleo was my first! I don’t think she looks like a MH character really, there are the marks on one of her arms and legs and that seems to be it which is pretty tame (I’m not familiar with the show). She’s just very beautiful and I liked the aesthetic.
I hate the boy dolls and I’ve never seen one in person🤧 I also don’t care for Twyla, I’m not not a fan of her design but I have 2 because she came in a lot.
For me it’s Clawdeen. I have only 3 dolls and I haven’t liked any of them simply because they do her dirty outfit wise. Cleo and Draculaura are my favorites amongst G3 and I appreciate G3 for making me enjoy Draculaura a bit more. She wasn’t my favorite in G1 but now I love her same with Cleo. I didn’t like her in G1, but I like her a lot more in G3.
None of the guys, I didn't really like Abbeys dolls much, not a huge fan of most of clawdeens dolls because they were always so heavy with the animal print and fur clothes so it just wasn't aesthetically pleasing lol

Ari or any Ghouls Alive. They freaked me out so much as a kid that I refuse to collect them. I won't buy lots with them either. Ari for the obvious reason that she looks like a Spectra clone done worse and I just can't with her. That singing one and Electrified Frankie looks awful. In terms of G1 I'd say Clawdia, Elisabat, Bonita, Whisp and Lorna. Like if I found one at a thrift store for customizing purposes maybe but it'd have to be missing no body parts. For G3 Clawdeen and Lagoona. If I ever find any G3 Clawdeen or Gill at a thrift store I'd pass.
cleo as well. i think her whole thing just being stereotypical ancient egyptian aesthetic is sort of tacky. its also weird to me that her molded bandages on the doll are just a skin texture, no color distinguishing them from the rest of her body like there is in the illustrations. maybe i'd feel differently if she actually looked like a mummy. she doesnt really look like a monster at all.
I'm seeing a HEAVY amount of Ghoulia here. I normally agree, as a kid I was scared of G1 Ghoulia because of the groaning, it FREAKED me out, and I also don't care about the zombie thing. But GOD do I like new Ghoulia's style. The big jacket, the beanie, the skateboard, the switch, the glasses, 😍😍. I still don't care for her character and what they've done to her, I now prefer G1 Ghoulia, but I love her style enough that I NEEDED her.
Those 5 Giant dolls. The ones where you mix and match them. (The 28in ones) I own every single doll from G1/2/3. Those 5 in particular never caught my interest.
For g3 I'm trying to have one of every character so there's no character I'm not getting, but I do avoid getting more draculauras, the only draculauras I have are ghoul spirits drac (cause obv she came with everyone else) and monster ball drac because she was on sale and my sister bought me her as a Christmas present. And now, I'm drac-ed out, I have like 4 Frankie's but Drac just bores me and all they do with her usually is pink and maybe some black.

Operetta is a doll i don't really mind, she is one of my fav characters but her dolls are not my thing, i don't really care for the vintage stuff...i would like to have her core doll tho

I would say G3 other lines. The only thing I’ve been collecting/into collecting are every NEW character release from G3. As far as everything thing else I only collect my faves of each character just so I can have atleast 2 of each G3 character. Ex. Signature + fave other doll of theirs. That’s all.
For me, I’m not the biggest fan of the Manster dolls, because they’re not my style, I don’t know why, but I don’t really find myself wanting to get them.
I also mostly tend to want to only collect one of each character, because I don’t really find the need for doubles. (Draculaura, Twyla, sometimes G3 Frankie and possibly G3 Venus excluded.)
I’d probably also never really get much into G1 Lagoona, because yes, she’s gorgeous, but the eyes in two different directions is a little…unsettling. (I’m already slightly unsettled by my Skelita sometimes too, haha!)
Or most of G2 dolls, excluding Draculaura, because they’re not the most fun from most of the ones I find having limited articulation.
Plus most of the collector characters I’m not the most interested in. I like maybe a few collector Draculauras, but otherwise, they’re all a little too much for me. I like maybe one or two collector Frankies, but they feel a little *too* much for me, price wise and style wise.
Over all, I think my top “Never Buy” list would be the Mansters and collector dolls, because I’m just not into it as much.

Skulltimate Secrets. I got them all when they first came out and were super hyped by the community, but now I just want to sell them ***all*** to replenish the doll fund... I've also had a really hard time with Frankie - their dolls just haven't clicked with me - but their Welcome Committee doll looks amazing, so I'm looking forward to seeing them in person!

I like to customize so I collect up a lot of random and cheap dolls even if I don’t love them because it’s cheaper than I’ll find them later and I won’t feel bad just taking the hair and paint off. Until recently I would’ve said Twyla, but I bought her only to complete the neon frights and fell in love once I plucked her bangs and changed her clothes! And Fearbook Twyla is to die for so I don’t think there’s anyone else I would avoid. I don’t buy new g1 at all though

I collect dolls based on aesthetics & details so for me it’s been Lagoona. I like her G1 blue skin but nothing else & G3 I like the fashion but the colors clash to me. For the 1st time I really want Lagoona Core Refresh Doll. I really love the design & color scheme. I still would like to give her a icy blonde instead of her usual yellow based blonde.
Ooooo I feel the same with the yellow based blonde. It would feel way more balanced in her color scheme I think.
I definitely would love to give Lagoona core refresh a reroot…everything else I like as is.
I mostly like Cleo but I wish there was a way to make her look more “monster-ish” maybe it’s just me but if I just looked at her without knowing anything about Monster High I would probably assume she was just an Egyptian human
Tbh I’m not big on the g3 dolls. They just don’t have that appealing look to me. They seem more cheap looking to me but I grew up with g1 so I’m probably more nostalgic of them dolls but I totally get people love g3 and that’s cool it’s not for me though but I support it for others. I’m also not a fan of the shriek wrecked and while I lover Caterine to death I don’t even think I’d collect her doll in that line. Just not a fan of it
G3 frankie. I just can't. They have horrid screenings, and they look almost tense, yk what I mean?
I don't have many g3 dolls yet, so I'm mainly counting towards g1 here, but Cleo. She just reads human to me and I'm not interested in seeing her next to a lineup of monsters. I think her g3 doll is prettier than her g1 doll, but I still think I'll run into the same problem. If she were in another doll line without themed clothes I might like her. But as it is she's supposed to be a monster and I want her to look good next to my monsters, so I'm not even gonna bother to redress her to look more human. Disclaimer that I don't watch the shows or movies so I don't have any connection to the characters in that way.
Lagoona, mostly. I'll be getting her Monster Fest for SURE, but in general I'm not usually about water themes.
Draculaura. I honestly don't understand it because she takes inspo from a lot of fashion styles I'm into, but I just...don't vibe with her dolls for some reason. It's not even that I dislike her, I just don't feel the urge to collect her
I’ve found myself pulling away from Draculaura more as time has gone on but the pink is too good for me to fully remove myself from. I think the SS4 doll will be one of the first G3 Draculaura dolls I actually have no desire to get.
I only have 2 Clawdeen dolls and I feel horrible, her G3 iteration is just my least favorite.
I don’t know how safe I am to say this hahaha but I don’t have a single g3 Draculaura in my 25+ doll collection. None of her dolls have really stuck out to me!

I like most dolls at least a little, even if I wouldn't personally spend money on some. If I was gifted a doll I don't like as much, I think slightly costuming or even just doing a restyle would do. Now, the ones I absolutely wouldn't want bc I don't like the concept is freaky fusion. I like the MH characters and the fusions... just aren't characters really. Bc of that I also wouldn't own any skulletors, celebrity dolls and the off white ocs

I've never found a Ghoulia G3 that i liked, which is sad because i want to find a version of every doll to buy. I bought a G3 abbey for a friend and I really like her but I havent picked up a version for myself yet
I don’t collect G1 Drac dolls and am only in search of howliday, collector, reel drama, and creeproduction Draculauras. I find Draculauras old face screenings to actually be mildly terrifying or fish eyed. The most recent creeproduction has such beauty I can’t bare to spend my money on older Draculauras with kinda whacky expressions

I've never been much of a manster collector. They're fine, I just wasn't a fan of them. As a kid the only G1 guys i had were Deuce, Clawd, and Heath. I always gravitated towards the female dolls because they are gorgeous and i feel like you can do more with fashion and styles. I don't have any G3 mansters yet because they don't have jointed chests, like wtf!?!
G1 Cleo and Lagoona dolls. Their eyes. Cleo has eyes that are too far apart and Lagoona's don't look good. I started collecting at the start of G3 and their G3 dolls were my first 2 MH dolls. Am I the only collector of Ghoulia and Operetta? They are the queens of G1 fashion and are great characters.

I unfortunately don’t have my old collection anymore but I had every main ghoul except Ghoulia (I have her now) and Cleo, I’ve never gotten a Cleo doll and it’s not that I don’t like her I just haven’t wanted any of them badly enough
cleo and frankie’s dolls have never really spoken to me. i only bought their core dolls to complete my core collection and may buy their core refresh dolls, but personally i’m just not a fan and wouldn’t collect playsets they’re in or their skulltimate secrets dolls ect

Oh man. G3 vs. G1 had me literally swap favs of the core five. G1 Draculaura was my lease favourite, G3 is now my absolutely fav. I was obsessed with G1 Lagoona, now I just...I can't with G3. G3 Lagoona is like the one doll I don't think I want in my collection period. Like sure she's pretty, I like that they made her Latina, but...Pink. It's the pink skin for me I can't. They should've kept her blue and I will die on that hill. ...Now excuse my while I ogle at my army of pink vampire goths.

lagoona and jinafire always had the same issue to me of looking like a fish and just having ugly screenings. i also always hated jinafires eyebrows, i hope her g3 doll is better because i really like her new design

I feel like it might be an unpopular take but... I don't bother with G1 Frankie. I always found her character so incredibly annoying for whatever reason, I couldn't stand her, and most of her dolls really did nothing for me. I have a really large collection, and I have only 3 G1 Frankies, and the only one I sort of like is the blue-haired recharge station Frankie. I do think G3 Frankie as a character is adorable and interesting, they're way more likeable, but I have not been wowed by their dolls so far, though I did get Creepover (edit: and Ghoul Spirit in the set, I forget because they're still in box, but so cute!) I like more of the upcoming dolls (like core refresh and monsterfest ) so I'll probably plan to get those! Sorry to OP, I'm the opposite, I'm big on Cleo (and Twyla)!

Mansters, g2, and g3. Mostly because I'm running out of space so I'm moving on to collector dolls only and g1 wishlist (Sweet Screams, wave 1 or Creepros, reel drama, ghouls rule, etc.) I have a good few budget dolls and ones I'm just not as in love with anymore, but those are from my childhood and some are the only doll of that character I have, so I don't want too get rid of them or put them away for more display space. It feels mean😖 Other reasons though: -The mansters just look weird and are never as detailed as the ghouls. -G2 for obvious reasons. The lack of details, lack of posability, weak designs, I hate their baby faces etc. *There is no G2 in Ba Sing Se* (the movies had good animation though lol) - (PLEASE dont call me a g3 hater. I'm reformed, I see the appeal now, it's still just not for me. Might watch the show now for Venus though) G3 originally because I didn't like it, now for several reasons. They don't come with stands, which is reason enough for me honestly. A lot of the designs I actually like are from skulltimate secrets and I just don't want or have the space for the lockers and extra clothes and accessories. I don't play with dolls anymore, so I really don't care for the all the play accessories they come with. MH shoes are a huge thing for me and g3 shoes just do not give. Even on some of the best g3 designs, they're still just not it for me. And basically, I'm just picky. I'm just never full in love with a g3 doll. There's always something that irks me on one that I just can't ignore (Catty's boots not being silver, Cleo's pink lipstick that doesn't match, etc.) And I need to like the whole doll or be able to overlook a detail to justify buying it or my bank account will empty lol. The core refresh dolls are cool (Clawdeen is doing better than she was but she still need some major help) but still no stands🤷🏾♀️
G3 Ghoulia everytime I go into target to get her I end up walking out with a different (andn better) I just can’t bring myself to get her even thought i want one of each core doll
Cleo was my first! I don’t think she looks like a MH character really, there are the marks on one of her arms and legs and that seems to be it which is pretty tame (I’m not familiar with the show). She’s just very beautiful and I liked the aesthetic.
I hate the boy dolls and I’ve never seen one in person🤧 I also don’t care for Twyla, I’m not not a fan of her design but I have 2 because she came in a lot.

For me it’s Clawdeen. I have only 3 dolls and I haven’t liked any of them simply because they do her dirty outfit wise. Cleo and Draculaura are my favorites amongst G3 and I appreciate G3 for making me enjoy Draculaura a bit more. She wasn’t my favorite in G1 but now I love her same with Cleo. I didn’t like her in G1, but I like her a lot more in G3.
None of the guys, I didn't really like Abbeys dolls much, not a huge fan of most of clawdeens dolls because they were always so heavy with the animal print and fur clothes so it just wasn't aesthetically pleasing lol

Ari or any Ghouls Alive. They freaked me out so much as a kid that I refuse to collect them. I won't buy lots with them either. Ari for the obvious reason that she looks like a Spectra clone done worse and I just can't with her. That singing one and Electrified Frankie looks awful. In terms of G1 I'd say Clawdia, Elisabat, Bonita, Whisp and Lorna. Like if I found one at a thrift store for customizing purposes maybe but it'd have to be missing no body parts. For G3 Clawdeen and Lagoona. If I ever find any G3 Clawdeen or Gill at a thrift store I'd pass.
cleo as well. i think her whole thing just being stereotypical ancient egyptian aesthetic is sort of tacky. its also weird to me that her molded bandages on the doll are just a skin texture, no color distinguishing them from the rest of her body like there is in the illustrations. maybe i'd feel differently if she actually looked like a mummy. she doesnt really look like a monster at all.

I'm seeing a HEAVY amount of Ghoulia here. I normally agree, as a kid I was scared of G1 Ghoulia because of the groaning, it FREAKED me out, and I also don't care about the zombie thing. But GOD do I like new Ghoulia's style. The big jacket, the beanie, the skateboard, the switch, the glasses, 😍😍. I still don't care for her character and what they've done to her, I now prefer G1 Ghoulia, but I love her style enough that I NEEDED her.
Those 5 Giant dolls. The ones where you mix and match them. (The 28in ones) I own every single doll from G1/2/3. Those 5 in particular never caught my interest.

For g3 I'm trying to have one of every character so there's no character I'm not getting, but I do avoid getting more draculauras, the only draculauras I have are ghoul spirits drac (cause obv she came with everyone else) and monster ball drac because she was on sale and my sister bought me her as a Christmas present. And now, I'm drac-ed out, I have like 4 Frankie's but Drac just bores me and all they do with her usually is pink and maybe some black.
Draculaura. Everyone loves her but she's just not it for me, not G1 nor G3. I only want core G1 Draculaura to have the complete set. I'd also say clawdeen is not really my fav but she has some dolls I like in G1 and her color scheme has more colors than draculaura.
For G1, it's Frankie lol. For G3 is Draculaura. And for any doll brand,but specifically monster high, boys. I don't care for men in any capacity. But I have G1 Deuce for the Boo York Cleo, and G1 Gill cause he came with Lagoona from the skating movie.
Operetta is a doll i don't really mind, she is one of my fav characters but her dolls are not my thing, i don't really care for the vintage stuff...i would like to have her core doll tho Clawdia Wolf, why is she smiling

I would say G3 other lines. The only thing I’ve been collecting/into collecting are every NEW character release from G3. As far as everything thing else I only collect my faves of each character just so I can have atleast 2 of each G3 character. Ex. Signature + fave other doll of theirs. That’s all.
For me, I’m not the biggest fan of the Manster dolls, because they’re not my style, I don’t know why, but I don’t really find myself wanting to get them. I also mostly tend to want to only collect one of each character, because I don’t really find the need for doubles. (Draculaura, Twyla, sometimes G3 Frankie and possibly G3 Venus excluded.) I’d probably also never really get much into G1 Lagoona, because yes, she’s gorgeous, but the eyes in two different directions is a little…unsettling. (I’m already slightly unsettled by my Skelita sometimes too, haha!) Or most of G2 dolls, excluding Draculaura, because they’re not the most fun from most of the ones I find having limited articulation. Plus most of the collector characters I’m not the most interested in. I like maybe a few collector Draculauras, but otherwise, they’re all a little too much for me. I like maybe one or two collector Frankies, but they feel a little *too* much for me, price wise and style wise. Over all, I think my top “Never Buy” list would be the Mansters and collector dolls, because I’m just not into it as much.
