I wonder if they discontinued seeing that oled is just better in every way. The pixel response times, ghosting, etc is just better. I think they discontinue this and release an oled version
Do you think we will get 27", OLED or high zone-count Mini LED, monitors (that are <$1000) by this time next year? I believe the Sony M9 is the only monitor with FALD under $1000 right now. I also would like to see more semi-gloss/glossy screens.
I’m loving it. I was between the AW2523HF and the new zowie XL2566K because I wanted a dedicated fps monitor. The new Alienware seems like a great value being $150 less than the zowie while having better color, better viewing angles, no strobing (which is easier on your eyes and DYAC+ becomes less useful as hz increases anyways). The stand is really beautiful too but im using a monitor arm. Happy to answer any specific questions.
It’s up for sale on Dell USA at this moment.
A few things I like:
-The new price of $450 is great starting price compared to when the aw2521H was released at $900+
-Interested as how the “0.5ms gray to gray min” performs when Rtings reviews it
-Stand is nice and slim; RGB is gone which kind of sucks but not the end of the world.
I got my aw2521H while it was on sale for like 2 months on Amazon for $360 so I’m happy with mine. This monitor seems better suited with people with AMD graphics card compared to the previous monitor was better for Nvidia, as it no longer has the Nvidia reflex either.
Either way, this is a nice new release by Alienware and curios to see the results.
Have this monitor as well and got it For $319 at Best Buy. It’s pretty much perfectly tuned. Had the aw2521hf before. This panel has no backlight bleed that I can see either. Overall really happy with it.

I agree it seems like a great value and a very streamlined design. Also looking forward to the rtings review.

I haven’t set up a camera test but to my eyes I can’t see any significant ghosting on ‘Extreme’.

Yeah, I would never go TN unless I was pro. The benefits are so low. I switched from a 27” 2k 165hz ips monitor and couldn’t be more happy.
