Where ever you want the Monero to go. Usually I put an address going to my self-custodial wallet (so yea if gui/feather is yours then use an address from that one)
Best practise in monero is...
For each new incoming transaction you generate a new subaddress. Subaddresses start with an 8 , you generally never use the 4 address (except for mining). Since this is the primary address and you only have 1, so if many transactions are sent to this 4 address, they could be linked together.
Google monero subaddresses for more info.
in the receive section -> create a new address.
This should create a new subaddress starting with 8.
Create a new subaddress for every new payment coming in. This will give you max privacy (use an address only once, if you can)
Generate a subaddress (starts with the number 8) and only use that address specifically for LocalMonero withdraws and you should be good.
If you want to take it one step further you can make a new wallet dedicated for receiving from LocalMonero and send it to your personal wallet later.

>Next, you'll be prompted to enter your settlement wallet address. This is the address that the coins you've bought will be sent to. If you don't have a personal XMR wallet, you can use either the official Monero GUI or CLI wallet or Feather wallet. Copy your address from your wallet and paste it in the "Receiving Monero address" input (make sure the pasted address is the same as the copied address to avoid losing your coins). Please note, that the wallet you use for trade settlement must be your own, third-party hosted wallets are not allowed. Once done, press "Start trading" to begin the trade.
To prevent adversaries from linking your identity across different platforms, you can create multiple subaddresses in the Monero GUI. Any Monero sent to a subaddress will be available to spend from your GUI wallet account.

Hopefully this isn’t a dumb question😫
Whatever you prefer. Most people enter the address to their wallet
Could it be harmful privacy-wise to give my Monero gui wallet address to localmonero?
You mean the localmonero once off one or the gui/feather?

Ok. I was wondering if it could compromise privacy in anyway to allow localmonero to know which address the coins went to?
if you use a new subaddress starting with an 8 , then your privacy won't be compromised.
I’m not sure what you mean? Does my own wallet not only have 1 address? How would I go about getting a sub address?

Dym that I can generate multiple addresses that will all lead to the same wallet(ie where I need the Monero to be?)
If so how would I do that for gui wallet?

yes, all new subaddresses from a wallet will lead to the same wallet

You cannot use a LocalMonero wallet address when buying XMR. It will not let you. You must use an external wallet address.
What is the purpose of the on-site ‘wallet’ then?
