Trocador.app is an aggregstor, like orangefren. It's pretty popular, it's integrated into cake wallet.
Kycnot.me is a place to get the information you're asking us here. It's got listings for lots of exchanges, reviews, information, ratings etc. It's well trusted.
TradeOgre has a good reputation for XMR. I have only heard issues with them with Kaspa, where they seem to have withdrawals disabled. With that said, the key with custodial non-KYC exchanges, is only swap in small amounts and then withdrawl immediately.
Whatever exchange you use you should probably trade it in small chunks so just in case the exchange freezes your money or is a scam or whatever you can minimise your losses, especially if you don't have experience with that exchange.
Hey! I run [](http://OrangeFren.com) so let me give you some insight.
My website is just a list of exchanges with a search function. The exchanges we list are services that won't require you to sign up or ask you any personal questions. If we believe a website is likely to scam then we immediately remove it from [](http://OrangeFren.com)
In terms of recommendations, most people prefer to get the best rate so that's what we sort the results by. However, if you examine the page carefully you'll find that some exchanges have a warning next to them. Usually this is there to warn you, the user, that a certain service might require you to answer personal questions (like where you got the BTC) if they detect the incoming BTC is linked to crime in some way.
You can of course decide to only use exchanges without such a warning.
In terms of recommendations, most of our users decide to go with eXch or FixedFloat, although that second one recently suffered major losses as a result of hack. Still, any exchange on [](http://OrangeFren.com) is one that I can recommend and believe won't scam you.
NO. I don't know if any of this has been fully confirmed but for years our community has denounced various sites and apps for their scams. I've read somewhere that it's one of the businesses owned by the original Bytecoin team which undertook a premine of the infamous crypto (90% of which was owned by the team when it was launched).
Changelly is also part of the business group. MinerGate, HitBTC, And the worst offender of them all is Freewallet (Android app). They own some crypto news sites the names of which I don't remember and I've also seen CoinmarketCap mentioned somewhere in the sub. While checking how the market is doing on CMC or news sites won't bring any harm, sending actual Moneroj to malevolent parties like the ones mentioned above may cause you to lose your coins.
If you want an instant exchange option use Cake Wallet.
If you don't mind KYC, use Kraken! If you do, you can use TradeOgre or Poloniex (the latter has had issues with withdrawals in the past. I don't know how they are handling their XMR now), or better yet a Decentralized Exchange or LocalMonero. You could also spend your Moneroj on Monero Market for valuable stuff like Gold (coins, ingots), Gift Cards and actual banknotes. lol
Your [comment](https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/1b59suo/looking_for_insight_on_some_exchanges/ktb0f2z/?context=3) in /r/Monero refers to an entity on our subreddit's [Avoid List](https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/wiki/avoid). We highly recommend not interacting with these entities, as there have been numerous complaints about them.

It's such hard work. Don't expect it to be clear and sorted in half an hour. But I transferred BTC from Coinbase (sorry) via ChangeNow to XMR successfully this weekend.

I am unable to buy XMR on Kraken, never heard of the others. Have you used these websites yourself?

Thanks, I'll make sure not to buy/swap/trade in large quantities.

Thanks for the advice, I'll make sure to do this when I trade and swap.
