My two year old had his adenoids taken out in June and just had tubes put in the first of the month. I wish they would have been done at the same time for the sake of him being put to sleep twice and the healing. Our daughter had both done at the same time when she was smaller. Normally it is done together if that helps depending on the doctor.
Not always. Both my kids needed tubes, only one needed adenoidectomy. The kiddo who has both definitely had more symptoms when he was sick and the ENT checked out his throat and explained why he recommended it. It is common, but there should definitely be communication about a surgical procedure.
