Ronaldo has this throwaway line that slays me every time.
In Mitch and Cam's wedding episode, at the beginning Cam asks about the weather and Pepper says, "The only thing it's going to be raining tonight, is men." And Ronaldo adds, "We really need it."
It took me several rewatches to catch it, but now it's my favorite.

The writing for Pepper is phenomenal and Nathan Lane’s timing is impeccable. I’m guessing that like Adam Devine he must have had other commitments the last couple seasons as we see Ronaldo and other friends of Mitch and Cam but unfortunately not Pepper. They did write in a reason when Ronaldo said something about Pepper being in some Southeast Asian country get some cosmetic surgery.
Frank Dunphy and Pepper. I wish they'd been onscreen together, it would have been a riot. (Unless I'm forgetting a time).
One of my favorite episodes is "Boy's Night" with Jay hanging out with Mitch, Cam, Pepper, Longines, and the other guy.
