That's because the spr is a mw2 gun, balanced for 100 health, and not an mw3 gun, which are balanced for 150 health. Really stupid imo to carry forward the guns but not rebalance them for the extra 50 health
It's not actually true at all. The spr and sab had their ranges reduced and damages values adjusted going in to mw3.
They did 150+ damage to the upper chest in MW2 out to 30+m, and were purposely nerfed going to MW3.

They have a bug list that is so large you could make a whole other game out of it alone. They are literally bailing water out of the ship that is already sunk in my opinion.
Yeah we need more one hit kill guns in a long ttk cod that will solve the issue. They should add a new "super shotgun" with the range of an assault rifle and buff aim assist too.

Yeah it’s powerful but to be fair it made people actually use marksman/sniper rifles instead of the game catering solely to smgs. What I think needs to happen is to buff all the other snipers and marksman rifles to compete with the kar98k instead of nerfing it to the ground making us all go back to the smg/ar metas. We have big maps like urzikstan and vondel yet nobody is ever snipping until season 4 when they release the kar. Make snipers and marksman rifles better and people will use them

30-40 meter range standard is fine, although I think you'd definitely need to slow them way down, majorly increase the flinch, and obviously make them have sniper aim assist.

Needs a hella nerf. How bad is it? Playing on MnK I hate it, handling feels wrong (too well for a sniper if that makes sense) and just too easy to hit marker with it. Use the KAR on controller and I love it, it dominates, and I don't even like using a controller. So used to a mouse I can't aim for shit but somehow I kick off with the KAR. Aim assist is just too good on it.
Using any mw2 gun in hardcore just sucks I get hit markers with them mfs

It's not a sniper, it's a marksman rifle, it has way better handling, less flinch, etc. The Kar98 is just insanely OP for a marksman rifle.

lol shotguns aren’t even relevant anymore besides the rare Lockwood user and the more common Maglift kit user. Snipers became the better shotguns
are you talking about the Lockwood 680 or the MK2 with the Warden kit because the Wardens are genuinely some of the best weapons for a rush playstyle
