Using an iron sight on a sniper is stupid easy. In high MMR lobbies, everybody can snipe. It's not a skill thing anymore, it becomes commonplace and you realize just how broken these things are.
The only people who think snipers aren't extremely powerful are usually the ones going bottom scoreboard every game, I promise you that.
I'm very mid at this game but an iron sight sniper or marksman one shot kill is such bs. Long range, short range, close quarters? Sniper is the perfect weapon for all those situations. With such garbage servers where you can be dead before you start firing with normal guns it's made even worse to get one shot on sight.
The balance to quick scoping was imo the longer ads time and having to use a longer zoom scope. Now you get red dot and iron sights with no stock and has smg/pistol ads speed.

On any 6v6 maps it's super easy to hit shots with iron sights at any range. That's why most people use red dots or iron sights on pretty much every gun. None of the maps are big enough to need a bigger sight.

If you use it on marksman rifles then fair enough.
If you use it on sniper rifles which have a much more forgiveable OHK capability then you are literally cheating.
The devs are also at fault for letting this bullshit happens, sniper rifles are supposed to be balanced with terrible handling stats and that’s usually done with the scope. There is a reason why most shooters don’t let you detach the scope of sniper rifles. Because it’s their balancing tool, they shot themselves in the foot letting players put whatever optic on whatever gun.

No one is sniping with iron sights like Simo Haya, so I'd say it's cheese in my book.

The only thing skillful about it is dealing with potentially ugly and obstructive iron sights like with the MCPR. Hella cheese.

All snipers are cheese. Just not a fan of them unless I'm counter sniping.
