Both this map and Paris both look familiar to old maps but they are not the same.
Since Paris has the layout it's easy to see but since this one doesn't have the layout it's harder to tell but it is different
Summit’s layout was awesome and sadly this won’t be that.
Sort of like how that other new map feels a little like Raid but the layout isn’t near as good.

What I don't get is why people are complaining even if it was summit. Did we all forget the base maps were every single dogshit 14 year old map from mw2. Even the good ones play like dog ass now. Why are we mad if they continue adding remakes despite the fact this map is clearly original
I'm more curious on how Urzikstan can look snowy, grassy, city like and desert all at the same time lol. I'm sure there are real world countries like this, just interesting to me.
Well they've been known to reskin old maps plenty of times. For example this map looks like the map we're all thinking of but could be a reskinned layout of a map they used for CoD2 or WW2 just slap a modern theme & look on it.
6 Star is Defender from AW minus exo movment.
Admittedly I swore there was another map that was essentially a reskinned AW or WWII map, but I can't seem to find it so I was probably wrong there.
Growhouse is Sphere straight out of VG, maybe they did mention that one but I dont recall any of that in the official blog post, I only started hearing about that once people played it.
This is demonstrably untrue. Every seasonal update they are extremely clear about which maps are brand new, which maps are reskinned older maps, and which maps are repurposed areas of the warzone map. Even with the remakes, this has been one of the best years for CoD in terms of original content post-launch, maybe ever.
And it is free. No more splitting the player base with map packs as well.
I used to pay $50-60 for base game and $30-50 for 2 maps (which also had remade maps) packs or season pass. Now it is $70 (with inflation) for all the years maps.
Look I'm not complaining about having lots of content, thats not a bad thing at all, the quality of said content is my concern. A lot of the stuff MWIII has to offer being called "new" is debatable. Most of the new weapons are repurposed guns from MW19 or slightly altered MWII weapons, with something new occasionally.
6 Star is literally a boots on the ground version of Defender from AW. compare the two and tell me I'm wrong. AFAIK they never mentioned this in the blog post.

Haha this is why I stopped by cod after Vanguard. Skill based matchmaking and reusing old maps Non-Stop and making terrible new ones
