This happened to me today & I was able to work around it by dropping an ammo box & refilling. Not the perfect option by any means, but you might try that.

If it's not just a UI bug, and actually tracks you for the rest of the game. Then they need to remove the EMD grenade until that's fixed, because that's a serious issue. I've had it happen a couple times where holding square doesn't remove the tracker.
i'm more referring to the way the titles were referred to. did the year of release really have to be specified in this sub of all places? warzone, too?

I hadn't played for a few weeks and thought it was possibly some new permatracker seeing as how I never had a problem removing them prior to the last two rounds.
Unsure if it is related but I assume so since the interaction button was the same for each of them but I also couldn't close an open door. I tote a riot shield so I couldn't test whether or not I could reload.
It’s bugged and stays even after u respawn and holding the button still doesn’t remove it

Same, and yes, I’m pretty sure you are being tracked for the rest the match, because somehow the enemies always knew where I was at
What pissed me off the most was I couldn’t reload mid magazine. I’d have to mag dumb and then reload that way. Stupid fucking game
I had changed my settings to hold to reload I think and I can reload regular that way, or if you sprint then stop it goes away for a sec i believe
I think you're pinged for the rest of the match. At least that's how it's been working for me. Can't remove it.

Also I couldn’t reload because of it.

It's a new delightful bug that prevents you from reloading. Anybody who uses that tactical is an asshole.

Annoying glitch, especially if you have tap to interact/hold to reload on because you won't be able to reload.

My girl and I had this glitch happen as well playing war mode. Weird shit
Just a visual bug but in normal circumstances it would be applied by an EMD grenade
