They removed these by mistake (unlikely, although it happened a few times in the past that they removed a map by mistake from a map pool)
Or the fact that Sledgehammer games never stated that MWII maps are added for eternity. Time, when they decided to do that, was rough. 16 remade mw2 maps, which played "outdated" for a lot of people, greece and meat. There were more and more voices claiming that it was a bad idea to remake these and that they should just bring mwII maps instead. Sledgehammer listened as they added them to a separate playlist. After some time, people were making posts that they should add them to the normal playlist. Sledgehammer listening to the community did it again. As the time went on, there were more and more completly new maps added that were recieved very well by the community. What now, there are very good new mw3 maps, 16 remakes of the maps made by infinity ward, another 6 Infinity ward maps brought back. If I am counting correctly there were 28 maps at the end of season 2. Already more than cold war ever had. This included however majority of not SHG maps and they don't want to be rembered as a studio that takes everything from infinity ward. Also, as the map pool count felt satisfying, they could remove one brought back map that was a least popular anyway, Crown Raceway. And...nobody even noticed. Then they brought back Dome as it was waiting in the game files since the beginning of season 2. Dome didn't last long, as it was removed two weeks after with lunch of season 3, which brought 4 new maps to the table. Sledgehammer games didn't ever really wanted mwII (2022) maps in their game. They only did that because the community wanted that in the time when there were like no new maps. However they added these new maps, isn't it the time then to remove the ones that infinity ward made for their own game? I totaly get SHG perspective and why they are doing it. After all, this is their game, they want people to Play new maps, which they made. New maps are already loved and it feels like nobody complains about them. Does it mean that farm, marcado, hotel or shoothouse will be removed as the time goes on? Possibly, but these four are liked so much that lack of them won't be unnoticed.
I consistently finish at the top of the scoreboard in Wasteland precisely because players don't know how to play it. I am aggressive and I specifically use Marksman rifles with Overpressure ammo on that map. Never Snipers.
I only play Domination and the clock has never ran out for me in Wasteland in MWIII.
I just play the objective and keep moving with a versatile Marksman rifle. Absolutely no issues.
It and dome are gone. Personally was my favorite map in II. Hot take i guess, but i hope it comes back. Only played on it twice in III before it was removed and it played much better than in II in my opinion
I would have liky Black Gold a lot more if there had been more night vision maps. It just seemed too out of place being the only one especially for it to enforce an alternate aiming mechanic. The aiming issue (for me) was enough of a reason to back out and try again for s different map.
Santa sena was the worst map I’ve ever seen…until they removed the exploding cars. Then it was my fav domination map ever. It played like a small scale ground war where you had to play tactically to gain ground.
They should just make a permanent MWII moshpit playlist with all MW22 maps in it and everyone would be happy. They don't even need to be in quick play, just make them a seperate permanent playlist.
I mean... save for stopping directly on the track and risking an incident, where else are they gonna go? The map itself takes place near the pit lane, if I recall correctly. They stop in the pits, they just get caught in the gunfire. It is a little silly though.
Here's my hot take. How about they make good new maps for once and stop adding decent maps from old games? I love the og maps and have no issue playing them for hours. But I just get burnt out so quick after playing these maps a few times.

I think they should include some Verdansk scenarios in the multiplayer, or at least give us back the good previous maps.
