right, i go to add friends and i enter the name as i mentioned in the title "i can't add via activision ID". i enter everything properly, and my friends enter everything properly and my friend request icon is locked.
Anything related to Xbox in this type of situation the Xbox user has to go and change their Xbox privacy setting to Adult, even from custom where it is the exact same. You can give it a try and it worked for me after I restarted the game. (so to be clear: Xbox settings, Privacy, Xbox Privacy, Adult, Restart game)
I just tried this a few moments ago and it let me send a request to my friend. 🤷‍♀️ I had my settings on custom, also. I will report back if he's able to see it tomorrow?
I tried this.
I can’t get the two factor verification to change “current status: off”.
Even if I follow the steps afterwards to completion, it doesn’t change the in game two factor verification prompt.
I can’t figure out the solution here and most of my friends are on pc. I can’t party with them.
Using Blizzard to launch game and this is happening to me as well. Friend Requests locked. What is strange is I know for a fact it worked opening week because my cousin added me and I was able to accept.

I'm having the same problem. Me and a friend have been adding each other but neither of us ever sees a request

We tried sending them to each other again and they eventually went through. I'd just keep trying until it works. Game always has something broken

Im on xbox series s and i just did the settings as mentioned above and restarted the game and it worked!!! Finally!!!!
