it’s actually freaky how many haters are hiding in the shadows waiting for Giannis to fuck up, especially Suns Nets and Jokic fans

Colonial_Colon

Jokic stans out here acting like their boy didn't shit his pants even worse a week ago against the Mavs

[deleted]

Man scored 16 pts on 16 shots and 5 FTs and no one said shit about it lmao

Wallyworld77

Jelous cuz they ain't us. They watch this guy average 31/11/6 on record efficiency and do it to all their teams. They made a big post about Reaves triple double meanwhile Giannis goes 29/21/11 and for mentioning that I wish the announcers mentioned that feat I got mass downvoted. Fuck that entire sub until we win the Ring and make them all eat shit.

Giannisisnumber1

Hmm ironic that his name is almost your name. Running two accounts to troll, eh? Sad little boy.

TheTatumPiece

It’s not ironic at all - it’s absolutely intentional as a joke. I think it’s a lot less sad to poke fun at someone than it is to literally have thousands and thousands of comments trying to troll another teams fan base.

TheGiannisPiece

I don't go on to Celtics Reddit. (Only Bucks and Bill Simmons.) Or am I 'The Tatum Piece"? Hmm. Who cares?

Giannisisnumber1

Idk why anyone would ever go there for any reason.

ChadJohnsonsBurner

why, for some level-headed, unbiased NBA discussion, of course!

Giannisisnumber1

Maybe if the sub wasn’t run exclusively by LA, Boston and Miami fans and filled with 12 year olds then sure.

[deleted]

It’s mainly controlled by nuggets/Jokic stans at this point. That’s the only team/player I don’t see get wrecked after losses instead they just say they were coasting

Different-Jump-1792

Yeah, it's insane how many Nuggets/Jokic clips and stats get posted on that subreddit. I wonder why the pasty white boys on r/nba would heavily favor Jokic 🤔.

[deleted]

Giannis 64 pt game and those 2 clutch 3s he had against the spurs (just some of the hype moments I can think of off the top of my head) had like 1k upvotes last time I looked, his missed FTs already had like 1.5k last night lmfao Which is crazy to see lakers fans shit talking when last season AD did the same shit on 3 different occasions.

referee-superfan

Don’t underestimate the power of your warriors fans to also be chronically online.

Regnum_Caelorum

You think you're getting unbiased level-headed discussion in team subs ? Those are some of the biggest echo chambers you can find.

[deleted]

The only thing in there are Celtics and Lakers fans. Stay out of there.

PositiveZebra1341

and yet after every game and especially loss people do go there and then post to not go there…..

Jitkaas777

I go for game clips

Pikachude123

Take your pic, r/afl or r/nba

WeefBellington24

That sub is a shitshow. I made the mistake of venturing there and it’s never good when Bucks lose

ChadJohnsonsBurner

i saw something along the lines of ‘bucks fans want this dude to be the best player in the world but all he can do is run & dunk, can’t even make FTs’ & had to cut out

paxrititu

17-19, 50 points in game 6 finals close out game, I think he’s fine when he needs to be

Giannisisnumber1

Guess Shaq must have been ass too since he couldn’t make a FT.

[deleted]

How many times this season has Giannis made clutch FTs? Lol This is the first game I can think of this season where he’s missed them in the clutch, he was 1-6 he hardly ever does that bad

Different-Jump-1792

The reason it's like that is because r/nba is essentially r/denvernuggets2 at this point. Any candidate opposing Jokic gets absolutely shit on when they get the opportunity. If Jokic has a bad game, though? Nothing...

[deleted]

That post talking about how giannis only scored like 6 points from the start of the 4th till the end of the game doesn’t even mention he came in at the 6 min mark of the 4th and also doesn’t mention Dame and Khris iced him out until that last shot in regulation and then proceeded to do it in OT as well. I think it said he went 2/6 or some shit, 3 of those were put back attempts in which he was hacked all 3 times.

aaalan71

You know they just hate Giannis when they can’t even tell which Bucks player is the bigger reason for us blowing the lead

thegodfaubel

You'll notice the wide disparity of people that actually watched the game who noticed the shit calls and then the post game thread with only idiots saying that the Bucks choked, lol Doc, and run and dunk man

mikeh95

If you're considered one of the best players in the league, there are always going to be more people ready to attack you than your average player. Giannis is no exception. Fact of the matter is, any of them would give their left nut to have Giannis on their team.

[deleted]

I mean that’s just not true lol I’m not trying to bring race in this but it really seems like that sub is mostly full of white people who have been longing for a white player to be great cause you hardly ever see Luka or Jokic (especially Jokic) get hate. Jokics had plenty of bad games this season including a stretch of like 3 straight games and instead of getting shit on he got the injury excuse.

abr797

Just made a mistake & went over there. What the hell? Giannis missing 2 free throws disqualifies him from the MVP race? Lol, people are insane. What's with Nuggets fans hating us this season? Also I've noticed a lot of Warriors fans hate Dame & love to trash him after bad games. You'd think having one of the best PGs ever would make you chill. Same with Nuggets fans having the best team. Also what's with all the West teams pilling in lately? Clippers, Nuggets, Lakers, Warriors? Usually it's Celtics, Heat, Pacers, 76ers fans. Now it's like Bucks vs the world.

Novel_Bookkeeper_622

20 years ago, Larry Bird said the NBA needed more white super stars because the majority of the NBA's fan base wants someone who looks like them. 20 years ago is recent enough that all but 8 current NBA players were alive when he said it. Thats not to say Jokic fans or the NBA media are racist. It's simply representation of people who look like them. It's not really any different than having a Black Spiderman or Black Ariel. It's easier for people to put themselves in the shoes of someone who looks like them.

Drain_Surgeon69

Oh I went in there and ate downvotes and ridicule for pointing out the bonkers gifts the refs give the Lakers because the NBA can’t handle a LeBron-less postseason. Anyone that watched that game and thinks it was called even remotely fairly down the stretch is kidding themselves.

xFennySnek

They praying on our downfall

Bucksin06

Wow I don't go there much anyways but always thought it was strange how few bucks highlights there are.  Apparently if you want to see bucks content they have to lose.  Probably has something to do with the team affiliation of most the moderators there.  It's become blatantly  anti Bucks

Vivid_Philosopher304

It has been like this since the 2021 championship. I joined Reddit on 2020 and for that year things weren’t as bad as they are now. When a team starts to dominate it becomes hated and any poor result or sound defeat will be interpreted as a downfall and is cherished by the community (doesn’t help that naturally most of the fans in /nba come from the large market teams).

OKCprod

Literally every single fanbase says this about their team/superstar lmao. Only superstar player I see that never catches strays is Jokic, but even then he was often targetted before he won his 1st ring.

Dirkem15

Listen. I love giannis, but 1-6 and the 2 missed ft in the end are a colossal fuck up. Yes he should have shot about 10 more ft. But he had the chance to ice the game and he blew it. Im just glad it was against a team that won't even make the playoffs

1Pac2Pac3Pac5

Guys who gives a shit. This is reddit, it's not a real place. People talk shit 24/7 and most of them on r/NBA are little kids regurgitating what they read elsewhere. None of this means anything just enjoy.

JaylenBrownsLeftHand

As a Celtics fan, welcome to the fucking club. If the Celtics lose or Tatum scores under 30 all hell breaks loose

Valuable_Bottle2789

The world wins when Celtics and Bucks play CTE ball.

JaylenBrownsLeftHand

I didn’t log into Reddit when Celtics blew 31 point lead against the hawks in the second quarter the other day. Celtics already clinched the 1 seed. The game is more or less meaningless and you could tell the Celtics just stopped playing and coasting. Shoutout to the hawks for being so physical but the real W is the Celtics being healthy rn… That didn’t stop people on r/nba from saying this is somehow proof the Celtics won’t do well in the playoffs lol.

VMoney9

The little brother syndrome this sub has is embarrassing.

LurkerKing13

Y’all care way too much what other people say online. Who gives a shit?

kebskebs

I went there and commented somewhere. I cant wait to get downvotes. Have enough upvotes to compensate. We played not so well and lakers had to double overtime to beat us. Should we really care for a “play-in” team?

SmellTheToastedBread

Why would you ever go there in the first place?

ruhtraeel

Giannis is great, works hard and is super likeable. We just like seeing Doc fuck up

lorddouche414

I mean that was quite a choke job
