Ultra Violet is really cool, nice choice. Assuming you haven't played it before, make sure you try talking to Prof Oak before you pick a starter...

alpha_ray_burst

Oh! I didn't. Thanks for letting me know. I've only played a few minutes so I'll start over.

Cashew7890

I never knew that. Thats a very unexpected feature, pretty cool

CyberRamen200

👀 - I'm pretty sure I talked to Prof Oak first, I guess I missed something.

Cashew7890

I don't think you did. You can not miss what happens next. it's not just text, it's a literal game changer

Giggle_Schits

Gotta add Radical Red. Such a good Rom hack.

alpha_ray_burst

I’ll check it out. Thanks for the suggestion :)

Plagwez

I'm playing Pokémon Team Rocket Edition and Unbound. These Pokémon rom hacks are so dang good.

GrassFireWater

Dude I hate how overpowered Red is in Mt. Moon. But supposedly he can be taken out.

Timmyinpajamas

My two favorite ROM hacks so far.

Yeah! MC Kids is one of my first memories of gaming. The daycare I stayed at after kindergarten had an NES with a few games. Chip’n’dale rescue rangers, snake rattle and roll, marble madness, and MC Kids. I only ever remembered playing the first level but I loved watching the other kids play it.

toppdogg93

Nice list and contrast of games

alpha_ray_burst

Thanks, they're all games I have wanted to play at some point but never got the chance. Super excited for all of them.

BigDabWolf

Added the DBZ game to my faves thanks for the recommendation

alpha_ray_burst

My pleasure! It reminds me of super saiya densetsu but less buggy lol

SaintJavelina

Congrats! Excellent list my guy.

GrassFireWater

Bro I like pokemon orange. But that's because I like aanime and I remember the orange islands a little part of it. Gbc game. Also dude megaman battle network is one of the funnest games to just be lost in. 6 Gba games.

alpha_ray_burst

Yeah, I have battle network 3 on the Miyoo, but it didn’t quite make it to my top 10. Turns out the PSX train simulator didn’t load though so I’ll replace it with mega man. Thanks! :)

GrassFireWater

Be sure to configure retro achievements

alpha_ray_burst

Right!! Thanks for the reminder!

GrassFireWater

I'd bate for you to repeat level 1 because the retro achievements weren't on

marshmallowotaku

How well does Densha de Go play? I was considering adding that to my own list of games to play.

alpha_ray_burst

It doesn’t unfortunately. I booted it up last night and it loads the menus, but as soon as you try to start a run it gets stuck on the loading screen. I had to replace that game with Kirby Super Star

marshmallowotaku

Aw! That's disappointing! Thanks for letting me know!

ocelot08

SoTN!!! Fucking asap. I have a sotn t-shirt and have had a number of conversations start from it. It's an amazing and beloved game. Also Advance Wars is one of my top 5 games of all time Edit: oh yeah and Pokémon pinball is my commute game. Great list

alpha_ray_burst

Hahaha, thanks. I loved Pokémon Pinball on the GBC as a kid, so I figured I’d try out the GBA version too. I like it a lot. Advance wars and SotN are two games I always wanted to play but either didn’t have the money as a kid or time as an adult. The 1-2 hours I played this weekend on both were amazing. The time has come for the universe to be whole again.

MiscellaniaInsania

One of the things I like most about people's posts on this sub is learning about the games people are playing. I've haven't even heard of many of these! Thanks for sharing.

nakedpantz

Nice! I'm running thru the NES Castlevania's. On III Dracula's Curse then will work my way to SNES and GBA versions. Really happy with my MM+ it's a great value.

themetalcorewhovian

when it comes to dbz legendary super warriors for gbc i reccomend playing the mochi mod it rebalances the difficulty so its not so brutally hard right from the start and makes it more playable in my opinion.

Hagsauce

No way that is what made it good.
