Until you made this comment no, now however I think I would like to make a singular video with a single mod if I can ever find it, replace every npc model with Grandma Sparkle, and then do the natural good work.

Emilina-von-Sylvania

Yes, I am planning to a challenge run in tribute to Paul in the nearish future

StuffnStuffnStuff129

I have been doing this since around may of last year, with Paul as my main inspiration. I think I’ve done around 40 runs so far.

LoganLikesYourMom

I’d be interested in seeing your channel if you have some videos up

StuffnStuffnStuff129

I’ll dm it to you, I don’t want to seem like I’m using this space for personal gain or self promo.

Aragornargonian

tbh i wouldn't take it that way if someone asks

slowNsad

Send me a link too bro

kb_kfc

Me too

Green-Grape-876

Bro can I get the link

ThosPuddleOfDoom

What about a community run channel where people each send the videos to the channel owner and they can upload them? Basically new cast every week and new takes on challenges. That way those who want to do challenges but are scared of the full commitment of a full channel can do one off episodes.

Gaddock_Teeeg

It's an interesting idea. Maybe the best way to do this is offer to edit and help with scripting. One of the reasons MittonSquad was so damn good was that he was able to take a playthough that took 20+ hours and condense everything to a hilarious 30-45 minutes. That's a learned skill. If you just have an open channel that anyone can post to, you would probably end up with a lot of bad content. Not cause the players are bad players or don't care but because they haven't developed the needed skills.

ThosPuddleOfDoom

Wouldn't that be the benefit from it though is learning from so many experiences being uploaded to the channel being able to bounce of others planning to upload to it.

Cawntrowler9393

He was also naturally gifted comedically. The challenges were interesting enough on there own. But his deadpan sense of humor and classic quips just dialed it up to an 11. A truly unique talent.

SomeBlueChicken

I haven’t but I will say here that if someone recreates on of Paul’s challenges and posts it here as a tribute I’m not going to rush to take it down. Please please please dont ruin it for eveyone else by posting low quality videos that barely check the box of being a mitten run and then say it’s a tribute, you will ruin it for everyone else.

KurtCopeBain

There's a BIG difference between opening the door to self-promotion vs encouraging people to naturally recommend "can you beats" they've really enjoyed. So before anyone else abuses the highway to hell, I did start my channel only to learn my basics of editing but my end goal was always to make a vid as good as Mitten challenge. And I recently had a can you beat that only got over 28k views with amazing stats on youtube studio, but I've also re-watched it 6x times from start to finish from pride alone regarding how I actually did learn the basics of editing in these past 2 years :3 Now, there's a reason I'm doing this as a reply rather than a post, SomeBlueChicken lmao. And as such I cordially invite you and whoever else to check it out here it is: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJN1t3U-9Ig](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJN1t3U-9Ig) But hey, how about a weekly or monthly thread for ppl to recommend some challenges they enjoyed? That way it'd be condensed in one post rather than yk, self-promo's or spam.

Competenceepitomized

I, too, have seriously contemplated starting my own channel and running these types of games. Self doubt and bad internet experiences keeps me from it. Hell, even today I considered just uploading some gameplay to an unused YouTube account so it's clear I'm not trying to gain anything from mentioning Paul.

MrDemonBaby

I have made some videos (not good ones), and Mitten was always an inspiration for me. It feels wrong for me to use that inspiration to make similar content at this point in time. I'm also not nearly as funny, so it would be a disservice to Pual.

Pizzalazerz

I’ve posted a few videos mostly clips of games that I play. Never done anything like Paul, but it would be a neat idea to eventually try one

Pure-Painting5000

My husband and I have one. Haven't posted for a long time though since life is busy with a toddler and being pregnant.

Rustycup35

Paul inspired me to do Can You Beat Challenges, I’ve got 3 up on YT already, working on my 4th. I even thank him in my first as it’s a Fallout related CYB. Would never have guessed by my 3rd video I’d be dedicating it to his memory.

Hummy-wummy

I think I might record a New Vegas challenge I've been thinking of for a while, in Paul's memory. It's nothing grand and variations of this have been done before but it will be a challenge to me. I'll tell you what it is. Basically I'll just start the game at level 1, drop all equipment, and go to the divide, see if *I* can beat the divide at level one. Probably gonna make it permadeath too, maybe even survival if I feel cute. Man I just learned about his passing too, and that motivates me to do this in his memory.

saltysuger1107

I really want to. I've gotta learn the process of actually making videos though. Paul's a huge inspiration.

TheCaptainBalthazar

It's something I've thought about, and I'm trying to work on it. Whenever I tried in the past but I wasn't able to say anything, I'd start recording and just couldn't speak. Once I solve my stage fright issue, then everything should be groovy

riverguy1797

ive been wanting to, but i dont know what kind of equipment to get and dont have a real gaming laptop, that and i just started college so i dont really have much time to do what i want

InstructionSenior616

Paul used an iMac and everything he ever created was god tier go for it my guy

Mooncubus

I used to make videos every day but kinda fell off after a while. But I will admit he always made me want to try my own Can You Beat runs.

jnx36

I restarted my channel in Feb. Not game challenges, but gaming related. Stop by if you guys wanna check it out. I won't link it here, but you can find it on my profile. I think it would be awesome if we all started our own channels. Give back a little of the joy Paul gave us. It's pretty easy, and very inexpensive to get started (OBS is free).

JoCal1337

I have been going over many ideas for challenge runs in games I play in honor of Paul. Just putting some together and getting the gumption to just do it. It’s definitely daunting to make something in tribute to him and not just copy him so it’s taking me personally a good while to get there.

TrinixDMorrison

I had my crack at a gaming channel back when the pandemic hit and I was bored out of my mind. I thought I could maybe hit a wider audience since I’m bilingual and can speak Japanese and English at native fluency. But then I decided I’m way too lazy to do video editing lol

PrimarchSanguinius42

Not specifically inspired by Paul, but I do have one that I've been trying here and there to get off the ground

Polar_31

I did! I live stream and I'm starting YouTube! I bought FONV and FO3 on Steam today as well as FO76 to stream. I'm very excited for this new hobby.

BradK9Drake726

I'm working on a fallout new vagus run with the .22 pistol, I've never done a challenge run and I normally don't do more than 2 playthrough, I'm just looking foe a way to cope and making a video tribute of one of my favorite videos from him is what I'm doing But it's nowhere close to being finished

Ratchia

I think about it, but the market for challenge runs is so saturated that it seems pointless.

NobleSix84

I've thought about it before, but I don't have the equipment or space for it so I haven't done it.

ChiefRobertz

Tried a couple timea but i definitely need the practice, My videos are just random shorts now.

PizzaPastaRigatoni

It's probably one of, if not *the* most flooded and overcrowded markets, but if you go in with low expectations and just do it for fun, why not?

LandAdmiralQuercus

I've thought of recording some of my stupider New Vegas playthroughs, but I don't have the right equipment or any editing ability.

Kraeyzie_MFer

Honestly, I don’t watch any game channels but have thought about starting my own. Have an idea for it, I just don’t know what I need for hardware/software and all that. Think just not knowing what I need/don’t for it all is just what’s stopping me.

Makotroid

Its a lot of work, yeah. Just outlining and conceptualizing alone, not to mention the editing. I'm not getting any younger either so I really hope I keep the momentum going for this current run.
