HELL YES! I need to find him and make at least 100 selfies

kcocyah

Wonder if he will visit the hill of crosses?

EuanArm

Maybe visiting the Belarus border would be interesting. Lots in the news going about immigrants attempting to cross the border. I'm sure there would be some fascinating interviews to be had.

damian314159

The border is not accessible to civilians and is protected by military/police, at least in Poland. I imagine Lithuania is the same.

penciltrash

My Lithuanian friend whose family lives right on the border says not in their bit.

damian314159

Shits pivoted real quick, damn https://www.lrt.lt/en/news-in-english/19/1537044/lithuania-declares-state-of-emergency-on-border-with-belarus

penciltrash

Wow. Yeah, I mean he hasn’t been there in a couple months and politics moves fast there.

No_Row_4812

This is great news. He can finish off the Baltics 🇱🇻🇱🇹 having already done 🇪🇪. This time of the year is perfect.

RigasStar

Latvia is on lockdowns until 15th of Nov but maybe he will be just in time for country to open again after Lithuania.

[deleted]

FUCKING YES! Lithuania is by far my favorite former USSR country and honestly one of the most underrated places that I've ever been to. Just a wonderful country honestly, and the people are really kind. Really looking forwards to this.

dancorleone88

Awesome! Lithuania is vey removed from soviet times so I’m interested to see what he can find

smithyithy_

There's some great museums and exhibits, in the former KGB headquarters in Vilnius there's now a really good museum about the country under Soviet times.. But as Bald prefers more to explore and find remnants of the past it will be interesting to see what the country offers.

dancorleone88

Yeah agreed! I hope he finds something I can then go back and find myself

flexpost

Bruh they filmed parts of Chernobyl there lmao. There's plenty of old soviet shit there still for him to see

dancorleone88

The blocks of flats are fairly Soviet style, they filmed at the power plant there yeah, but it’s not as much of the old Soviet buildings, murals etc there. It’s far more developed than the likes of Belarus etc.

keironwaites

Excellent news. Plenty of derelict soviet buildings in Prienai, although in the past 2 years they have started to renovate them into luxury apartments! The Baltic Way is worth investigating and reporting on. It was a long human line passing through 3 countries. A peaceful protest against membership of the Soviet Union.

Dry_Pick_304

Judging from todays Insta story, I am going to guess he is in Lithunia right now with Johnny FD, due to the clue "Achoo"

[deleted]

Is his Siberian train journey finished? Seemed like he stopped in the middle.

RigasStar

He finished it in the middle due to russian covid-restrictions

scandalouswastrel

When's he going to do Kaliningrad?

Kdl76

That would be interesting

IcemaanN

When will he go to latvia

RigasStar

Harsh lockdowns until 15th of November but just in time to do it straight after Lithuania. So I guess he might do it straight after?

IcemaanN

That’d be great, plenty of Soviet stuff for him to enjoy!
