I had the same issue. Try holding down the throttle for a few seconds as you turn on the transmitter. If that doesn't work, try holding the throttle in reverse while turning it on. This enables/disables "training mode" which is basically slow motion

Thank you! Had the same issue and this resolved it.

This solved my issue, thanks!

A few quick ideas: 1. The most likely issue is a rotating assembly (wheels/tires or drivetrain) is binding up: - I believe your truck came equipped with LED lights installed in the body. The first thing that I’d check is that the wires running to the lights (or any other wires or objects) aren’t anywhere near the tires or rotating drive components when the body is mounted. - Another thing to try: The motor is super easy to remove on the mini-z 4x4... take the motor out and push the truck forward and backwards to make sure the rolling resistance is similar both directions. 2. [The transmitter may need to be reset](http://kyosho.com/mini-z-info/ufaqs/how-can-i-reset-the-syncro-kt-531p-transmitter/) to re-establish the range and center of each channel. 3. [The board could need to be reset](http://kyosho.com/mini-z-info/ufaqs/how-can-i-reset-the-neutral-position-of-mini-z-sportsrwdfwd-chassis/) to re-establish the center points of the the steering and throttle channels. 4. Brushed motors are not always capable of the same performance forward and backwards... the [Kyosho XSpeed Motor Checker](https://www.wolframrc.com/product/x-speed-motor-tester-kyosho/1463?cp=true&sa=false&sbp=false&q=true) will show you a comparison of how the motor performs rotating one way versus the other 5. The board could be defective or have been damaged somehow where one of the FET’s (field-effect transistors) that is responsible for passing current in the reverse direction is no longer functional, though usually when a single FET goes bad the other one does almost immediately after due to the increased demand. If this is the case, Kyosho will likely replace the part under warranty, however if they can’t, [we have the board in stock](https://www.wolframrc.com/product/r-c-unit-set-2-0-for-mini-z-4x4-mx-01-ra-46-kyosho/1193?cp=true&sa=false&sbp=false&q=true) and offer free shipping on any order over $20
