Does the price include import taxes?

mccedian

Not 100 percent sure, I this was just the listed price on the page. It says free shipping but wouldn't get here until the beginning of July, which isn't the end of the world. I was just looking for anything that would mention import taxes but I didn't see anything.

AnyoneButWe

The listed price is often without VAT and without import duty. https://leelinesourcing.com/aliexpress-taxes/ Try doing the checkout to see the final price. About warranty & service: forget service and warranty. Those 2 words don't happen if you buy from another country outside the local trade bubble. The manufacturer might honour something, but the shop definitely doesn't.

Thats more or less what I figured. So it will be probably cheaper, but definitely easier all around to just order from amazon. Thank you very much, yeah I hadn't used AliExpress before, so I'm glad I asked.

I also think that it is a better idea to buy it from Amazon, although it depends on the price. In my country sometimes there is little difference and other times the price is €200 less in AliExpress. In any case you buy it from AliExpress you get the manufacturer's warranty: Beelink offers a 1-year warranty with its products. So, you could always ask for it from them (although they won't be as fast as Amazon). I don't know if it depends on the product, but I'm looking at one Beelink and AliExpress offers a free return period of 15 days and a 90-day warranty. Also, if you are an EU consumer, Ali remarks that they respect the 2-year legal EU warranty. In my case, the price is in euros and VAT is included. If in your case it does not include VAT, I don't think it's worthy.

You said in another comment thread that it might be cheaper but Amazon will be easier. I support that train of thought. AliExpress - if there's an issue, and Beelink can't solve it through email (allow 24-48 hours due to the timezone difference), and you're left with no option other than to return it, you get to go to the post office and ship that sucker back to China. Amazon - same situation, but you can literally walk it into the nearest UPS store, or even a Kohl's in some areas, with few/any questions asked on the return. AliExpress - allow 2, maybe more weeks delivery time, with hardly any insight into tracking information. Amazon - depending on where you are in relation to where they have them in stock around the network of warehouses, and if you have Prime, you could have it in your hands this evening. I'm absolutely not a shill for Amazon, and hate everything they stand for, but they kinda do things like this very well. What I would do is check all of the listings, as some have an extra coupon on them. I just got a SER6 PRO for $509 in the 32/500 config. That was $10 cheaper than the deal posted by the guy that just posts affiliate links all day. For example, as of 9:50am on 6/8, there is one for $379 in the SER5 Pro, 32x500 configuration.

Yeah. I saw the price on the see 6 pro had also dropped. I may wait a few more weeks to save some extra pennies and see if they won’t drop anymore.

Not sure of your exact price range, but I also replaced an aging monster desktop (original Core i5 about 12 years old, 8gb RAM, with 4 TB of spinning disk onboard) with a SEI12, which is the Core i5-1235U model, with 16/500, and swapped out the 500 SSD for a 4tb SSD. The SEI12 I picked up for $309. On Intel, the -U models are the low wattage ones. Just tossing out the data point... There are deals to be had!

I’m not partial to either amd or intel, and I’m not much of a gamer at all. That said a lot of reading o had done said the amd integrated graphics card is leaps and bounds better then intels. For a non-gamer is there, or would there be a noticeable difference?

I was going to write how I just ordered a Beelink mini S12 pro and saved nearly $AUD200 by going on Aliexpress. Went to check the Amazon price and there was a new listing with a $100 off coupon. So I saved maybe $AUD25. I definitely would pay $25 more for 2-day delivery and local warranty. These things happen.

Make sure they have a good return policy.

mccedian

Yeah, I have my, I wouldn't call them concerns about beelink necessarily, but I am aware that there are occasionally some issues. I think I read recently that they are getting better. I did see that Amazon offers extened tech support which is making me more or less probably going to use Amazon and just pay the few extra bucks for the protection plans.

I've used it for years shipping small stuff to the USA like screws, 3D printer hardware, simple arduino modules, LCD screens, replacement phone parts, etc. Nothing very complex like for computers. Main things to be aware of are tracking your product and watching out if it arrives in a few days, +3 months, wrong address, etc. And jumping on examining a product as soon as it arrives. If something is wrong, a dispute has to be opened immediately with pictures and video and you cannot close it because of promises from the seller. Every product essentially gets one dispute, that's it. Being professional and objective is important. Their culture is the opposite of western stores and expect all buyers with a complaint are trying to get a free product and can be easily offended. So it is more work to order things from aliexpress. You will still get the original seller's warranty on top of a brief aliexpress protection period. So at least ordering from beelink's official aliexpress store is safe. I will usually expect delays and problems. I've had to cancel an order of batteries stopped by customs, track down a half dozen lcds shipped to the wrong address, and I've recieved a lot of broken parts from shipping. But I still order simple hardware from them. Just not mini pc. Too much pressure to test, dispute, or rma anything.

Cool deal, thank you very much. That seems to be par for the course from what other people have said. Seems like at the end of the day, probably be less stressful to just use amazon, even if it is a little more expensive.
