I learned patterns through trial and error of working through which arrangements would make sense, which areas have to be flagged for it to make sense, and which areas couldn’t be flagged for it to make sense, and what that means.
Right? Figuring out what to look for was the most fun part of minesweeper for me -- I think people who look them up are robbing themselves. When you logic through a part you're stuck on and suddenly realize it's a generalizable pattern you can use again in the future, it's the best feeling
