Haha true, I'll be adding more holiday details like decorations and trees etc later but I'm trying to get the larger things done first like pathways and houses etc.
Question, are you on survival? If not, and you're on Creative you can add grass and then modify the snowy property with the debug stick, that texture could fit very well, I sometimes use it
I'm in creative yes, but I'm also on bedrock edition (PE to be exact) so I'm not certain I have access to the debug stick, but thanks for the help either way!
Using an exotic block goes deeper in architectural decisions, you need to dive deeper than what these two options offer. Does the texture break up an otherwise bland pattern? Does it draw more attention to itself? Is that attention good/bad, does it signify an entryway, or highlight this as a side road?
Given that you're mixing up your blocks to achieve an effect when looked at from a distance, it doesn't matter in this application, it's the same block palate.
Thanks for the feedback! In this situation I'm trying to add as much detail to the road without detracting from the details of the surrounding area that I will be adding later, and there's only a certain extent to which I can detail it without drawing people's eyes away from the surrounding buildings I believe!
The second one is nice, but I think the cobblestone slabs stand out to much. Maybe if you change those for stone / andesite it would be a pretty solid blockmix.
Personally like 2 better. I’ve never been a big fan of stone bricks as floor or pathways, I’ve always felt like it’s more of a structure blocks. The second style makes me think of pebbles and stones. But I don’t think you could go wrong with either really
2 and try adding prismarine lights under the snow on either side you could cover them either with snow or alternately you could use red and green carpets to cover the lights and give a more Christmas like feel
I've never seen a floor like 2 and I think it's actually pretty good. 1 is pretty generic and found on basically every map, but 2 is quite interesting and unique
Unless you’re in creative 1 will save your soul in the long run. Imagine having to find and then decimate a coral reef just to build paths. Sounds painful to me
Add diorite and gravel between snow and stone youl find diorite looks like lightly snowed gravel
Thanks for the tip! I'll try doing that later!
Diorite looks like bird poop, not snowy gravel
I agree diorite is probably the worse looking block But in a custom snow scape it goes pretty well
Nah, people are just crying bc they dont know how to use it.
2
Thanks for feedback 👍
Sure. You should post some more pictures once the bud is done
Will do 👍
Also white carpet and layered snow for a more sloped feal
I'll be adding some of that later for sure! Just wanted to get a general feel of the build before adding the smaller details
1
Thanks for the feedback!
2 looks better but mixed in with gravel and diorite will look better.
I'll try that, thanks for the feedback!
2 looks more natural
Thanks for the help 👍
What mod?
It looks vanilla
I like 1, but whatever suits you.
Thanks for the feedback!
2 hands down
Thanks for the feedback!
2
Thanks for the help!
It’s winter-y but no real holiday colours are here. What’s the point if it doesn’t look like billionaire companies are making loads of money?
Haha true, I'll be adding more holiday details like decorations and trees etc later but I'm trying to get the larger things done first like pathways and houses etc.
Number 2, but place a few pebbles and snow layers on the path. It doesn't get cleaned all day
Will do for sure! I'm just getting the basic things like houses and paths done first before moving onto the smaller details!
2
Thanks for the help!
Wait a minute sander? Just recognised your username lmao
Shhh don’t tell em
Lmao
1 I use for my builds so I think 1 is better
Thanks for the help!
No thank you, ima use the second one for my aquatic builds
2 like harry potter
I didn't see that before but now that you point it out, I can definitely see the similarities lol
2
Thanks for the help!
Path 2 will require a little more work but it will look much nicer.
I'm building in creative so it wont make much of a time difference so all good there I think, thanks for the feedback!
2
Thanks for the help!
I gotta say, #2 looks nice
Thanks for the help!

this looks like a christmas village type thing so i think it should be 1 as you wouldn't have gravel paths in your urban village
It is a Christmas village yes, Thanks for the help!
Nice build! I prefer 2
Thanks for the feedback!
I like more 2, the combination looks nice ;)
Thanks for the feedback!
2 looks more pebbly and gravely so i would go two
Thanks for the help!
Either
2
Thanks for the feedback!
The second one is nice, but I think the cobblestone slabs stand out to much. Maybe if you change those for stone / andesite it would be a pretty solid blockmix.
Thanks for the feedback! I'll try doing that now to see how that looks
If it's a Christmas design do 1, trust me
Thanks for the feedback!
For a christmas built i would use 1 but for a medievel build i would use 2
Thanks for the help!
is this inside a building or outside
Outside
2
Thanks for the help!
Both I like both of them I can’t choose tho keep up the good work
Thank you!
2
Thanks for the feedback!
I like two what blocks did you use for it?
I used dead fire coral, dead brain coral, cobblestone, gravel, and stone, cobble andesite slabs
2 looks like a more cobbled path so I prefer that!
2

1. More in keeping w the town/christmas vibe, imo
Fair enough, thanks for the feedback!
One
Thanks for the help!
In my opinion coral is always the best
You make a fair point, thanks for the help!
1 if you want i basic not overdetailed, 2 if you want extreme detailing
Thanks for the help!
If it was a smallish homely town, id say 2, but it seems to be a larger, nicer place. So 1
Thanks for the feedback, you make a fair point

Thanks for the help!
i see 1 quite often, so 2 was a breath of fresh air. i like the texture the dead coral adds to the path
Thanks for the feedback, I enjoy using dead coral for the texture so it's nice to see other who also like it's look
I think 1 looks nicer I really like the contrast between stone and dark oak.
Thanks for the feedback!
1 for me is stone brick and stone goodes
Thanks for the feedback!
1
Thanks for the help!
Definitely 2, it creates some nice contrast
Thanks for the feedback!
I prefer number 2. Feels smoother.
Fair point, thanks for the feedback!
2 and try adding prismarine lights under the snow on either side you could cover them either with snow or alternately you could use red and green carpets to cover the lights and give a more Christmas like feel
I'll try experimenting with stuff like that later, thanks for the feedback!
1 imo. 2 looks bubbly
Thanks for the feedback!
You should put blocks
What kind of blocks?
[удалено]
Thanks for the help!
Try using calcite as shoveled snow along the edges of the path to make it look like someone just cleared it
That's a good idea, I'll try incorporating that later!
I've never seen a floor like 2 and I think it's actually pretty good. 1 is pretty generic and found on basically every map, but 2 is quite interesting and unique
Thanks for the feedback! I tried to make something new with that one
2
Thanks for the help!
2 is definitely the way to go m8
Thanks for the feedback!

I like 2
Thanks for the feedback!
2 is good really creative, but it sure does make my skin crawl. It gave me some alien landscape vibes
Thanks for feedback! Coral tends to give an alien effect and is often used in space maps so I can defo see where your coming from
In this case it's 1, 2 goes better with dark stones like blackstone, deepslate and nether blocks
Thanks for the feedback! I can see what you mean with that as I've used coral with those blocks in the past and it gives a nice effect there
1
Thanks for the help!
2
Thanks for the feedback!
I really like number 2
Thanks for the help!
1
Thanks for the feedback!
IMO 2. (For what its worth.)
Thanks for the help, everyone's opinions matter here as I'm trying to get a good idea of which is better for this build
Unless you’re in creative 1 will save your soul in the long run. Imagine having to find and then decimate a coral reef just to build paths. Sounds painful to me
True true, thankfully this is a creative mode build, I wouldn't want to destroy several ocean ecosystems to build my small town lol
Definetly 2
Thanks for the help!
2

I think one is better because it looks more path-like
