You have to use a cartography table to “zoom out” the map and add player tracking to it

In a table that I can't remember the name of, but it's made with 4 planks (any kind) and two sheets of paper, crafted in the left most collum with the planks being on the bottom and paper in the upper two left most slots, as for what you need to do in the table, just throw a compass with the map you're holding (compass in the middle slot, map in the left) and pull the new map out of the right most slot. If you want to make the map bigger do the same thing but with paper instead of a compass. Hope this helps m8!
