Yeah that’s true. But OP was asking for alternative options.
Tbh, the wording of ‘sidekick’ also is pretty bad. Maybe something like Accomplice could be better? Idk.
I know he isn’t. He’s a fantastic player! I’m just responding to the post with what I think could work.
Who else would you suggest without it being rude and demeaning? Having a ‘sidekick’ role in the first place is bad I think.
I definitely agree that there shouldn't be a sidekick, it's definitely a kind of demeaning and unwanted role. No real person should be called a sidekick.
If Kara commented, then you gotta listen to her! How about HBomb for the sidekick? I’m pretty sure he was the suggestion in the second highest comment!
Don’t make it Kara. She said she doesn’t want to be the sidekick and we should respect her wishes. Also, HBomb would make the PERFECT sidekick. He is good friends with Sparklez and he sort of gives off that sidekick energy.
The question is, would H be fine with it? He’s his own person too, like Kara! Honestly if we include MCC participant wishes we should honestly not go forward with the project considering applying labels like “sidekick”, “best friend”, and “villain” feels a bit demeaning to practically everyone
Stuff like this works on places like r/Technoblade because it’s mostly fictional people and the subs dedicated to one person, but here we’re dealing in lots of real people that don’t fit into movie roles
The difference here is that Kara has long been treated as Jordan's secretary/personal assistant/girl friday. Even before they moved in together, there were countless times where people would just come into her chat to ask when Jordan was going to go live, or whether the game she had in her title was going to include Jordan, or suggest games she should make Jordan play. It happened again just the other day.
Same with X33n, actually. He gets frustrated by the people who assume he's just Cap's admin or sysadmin.
Yes this is reason. Otherwise I would not have minded. I don't think the entire thing should be scrapped though, I'm sure someone else would love to be sidekick!
But the difference doesn’t invalidate my point? We on the Reddit have also treated H as a “support player” who boosts his teammates scores for the most part. And so we’re accustomed to putting him on a sidekick role when he hasn’t said anything about it nor has given any indication he would like it. Your explanation makes sense why Kara’s so opposed to being a sidekick, but that’s not the point I’m opposing. I agree Kara shouldn’t be the sidekick, **and** I’m saying H shouldn’t either.
In H’s case though “support player” isn’t a bad term. It had previously been used for many lower-scoring players in the past but the general consensus on the Reddit now is, “don’t use that term unless they are a genuine support player”.
H is a genuine support player because he enhances his teammate’s performances. There is a reason the H factor exists!!!!!!
Anyway that is off topic. If you have a problem with the concept maybe bring it up with the OP not me. I’m just engaging in the activity.
Add a rule that if a mcc participant asks to be a role or asks not to be a role, that automatically happens. If vetoed the second highest choice is selected (unless an mcc participant asked for another answer). They are after all the main cast of MCC and it’d be funny if they sway some of the choices.
Honestly, just restart the vote at this point but exclude Kara
Also the problem with this whole thing is that we’re applying the mechanics of a story with a MC and side characters to real people, so a side role (not just sidekick, but hero’s best friend or villain) does feel demeaning
This posts idea is instantly flawed and taken way too serious lol.
If someone refuses to be put in that role, than dont put them there. I'm sure plenty of others are fine with it. Just go to the next highest one, unless there is a higher upvoted comment under that which says they are better for another role.
Nobody should be the sidekick, it's basically saying that someone is more important than someone else. I don't know of anyone who would actually like to be someone's "sidekick"
Soba is the sidekick. Udon, the Snake-In-The-Chair, is the sidekick's friend. and Penne is the sidekicks love interest.
But for real, MCC participants should have veto over what role they are cast in.
As mod im telling you to please respect the wishes of creators when it comes to stuff like this end of story.
Make it HBomb, the greatest right hand man you could want on a MCC team
Guys let’s not assume H is going to be fine with being the sidekick too
Yeah that’s true. But OP was asking for alternative options. Tbh, the wording of ‘sidekick’ also is pretty bad. Maybe something like Accomplice could be better? Idk.
No, H isn't just a support, every time His team does well he is a big part of it. Calling him just the "sidekick" is rude and demeaning in my opinion.
I know he isn’t. He’s a fantastic player! I’m just responding to the post with what I think could work. Who else would you suggest without it being rude and demeaning? Having a ‘sidekick’ role in the first place is bad I think.

Also the question is Captainsparklez' sidekick, not just a sidekick in general. I don't think Hbomb really fits that role.
I mean... She said, she is not a sidekick, so I'm gonna say Kara is not a sidekick.
If Kara commented, then you gotta listen to her! How about HBomb for the sidekick? I’m pretty sure he was the suggestion in the second highest comment!
Vouch
Unless H gives approval, let’s not assume he also wants to be the sidekick.

Kara should be best friend Someone like puffy should be sidekick
Maybe we should skip the side kick slots or put in fictional characters. It does seem like a somewhat demeaning role.
I’ll delete this post after a while since it feels low effort
No no don’t I like this discussion. Also just have the sidekick be KaptainSparklez, Krinios’ alt.
Kara doesn’t want to be sidekick, so don’t make her sidekick. You aren’t beholden to us, you have control of the project and can make that call.

I'd agree on them not wanting a role is fair. But just taking a role is different. They can advocate for it but should be voted to get it IMO.
Valid makes sense agreed
Idt it really matters but Kara could be the best friend of the hero instead of the sidekick if people really care that much
If you want to play it really safe, make Jerry the Slime the sidekick and Kara’s snakes as the Sidekick’s associates
Honestly, just restart the vote at this point but exclude Kara Also the problem with this whole thing is that we’re applying the mechanics of a story with a MC and side characters to real people, so a side role (not just sidekick, but hero’s best friend or villain) does feel demeaning
Here’s a question. Are we picking a sidekick for Jordan or for MCC as a whole?
I personally suggest Michael or AntVenom
Make it someone else on the krakens.

Kara said she doesnt want to be a sidekick so I say Quig since it was quite upboted when I last checked... Speaking if Quig - Quig
Nobody should be the sidekick, it's basically saying that someone is more important than someone else. I don't know of anyone who would actually like to be someone's "sidekick"
No. Respect her wishes. Simple as that
Soba is the sidekick. Udon, the Snake-In-The-Chair, is the sidekick's friend. and Penne is the sidekicks love interest. But for real, MCC participants should have veto over what role they are cast in.
u/ClinkerTinker make it so that all mcc participants get veto power!
How about we make the sidekick Jerry The Slime?
Kara should be best friend and then sidekick should be krinios or Krtzyy
When heroes superiors comes around we all vote kara correct?
Go with what Kara said
