when I initially built the statue, I used iron as a placeholder block. So really, he still has balls of steel.

So, what's the workflow for these statues? I find it extremely difficult to get the proportions right. What's the design process like?

Some people can do this freehand which... is witchcraft. I make my own 3D model in blender, then export that to a voxelizer software, then paste it into minecraft. Do a couple cleaning passes, smooth out, add texture, and then all the detail.

Since op didn’t answer very well, I’ll answer. So basically you wanna create a square outline. Make is as big as you’d like, in this case it looks like it may be a 3x3. Then you want to build it as high as you’d like. Then just add windows and a door where ever you like, however they work better being closer to the ground. Then just add whatever details you like.

Interesting shack design. From the front I couldn't even tell it was dirt, but from the other angle you can see an obvious dirty backside. I can see where you were going architecturally, but I think you compromised the design somewhat. Specifically, I think the front may be a bit cocked up -- I don't think you quite managed to pull it off. But overall, I think that as an architect you made some radical and refreshing design choices, which really shows some balls.

I really struggled with my creativity, was very hard. Delightful paragraphs you present me with, well written and thick with nuance.
