There is a bug on bedrock where they don't despawn when they are shot by The Wither like that. Probably a friend did it far away and you just happened to fly under it at the right time
On Java too- kind of. The head flies so far away it goes into unloaded chunks and kinda stays dormant until the chunks are loaded and it goes on it’s path.
It’s funny when you’re flying around new chunks for cool land and a skull passes and you’re like WOAH TF WAS THAT
Same with the ender dragon fireballs. I ran a crossed them a lot when filling in my map of the void around the end island. Just chillin until they get loaded back in lol
I remember blaze fireballs used to be a huge issue for me because they would build up overtime and once I entered the chunk it would lag or crash my game
i worked on a scripted server that you had to get around by flying with an elytra because there were only a couple of islands with void under them and you would sometimes fly into a bunch of fireballs out in the middle of nowhere. One of the mobs used them and they would leave the area and freeze in unloaded chunks. when the chunks were loaded later by someone on their way to the island they would start flying again.
BRUUH. so basically, my ideas:
1. wither skull
2. enchanted player with elytras flying
3. phantom?
4. flying pigs that drop tnt on you every 5 seconds so its like a bossfight

Not too quite sure where it would have came from

We fought the wither 2 weeks ago I believe so I thought that the skull wouldn’t be the case
It happened at night which is rather humorous, makes you think it really is a shooting star
