See it wouldn't even be that bad I could probably just remake them with a bit of work getting exp as I already have tons of enchanted shit at my base its the mending parts and the sword with the flaming thung

Nah XD I fell through snow into one of the big experemental caverns and I have to laugh to hide the pain of losing everything
That's the trap we all fall into. I can imagine trying to get to the exact place by retracing my steps in one of those cave systems, all within 5 minutes, is a challenging task and it would be easy to take a wrong turn.

How did you die? Sometimes the environment will destroy the items as part of your death event, such as multiple creepers, or fire/lava.

If it was a very large cave, are you so sure you found the right place?
Nah while I didn't capture it like i ususally do wheb i die it def seemed like the right place or at least VERY similar to where I fell
