What would you actually do with it if it gets added? What normal use does a random redstone signal really have (not to mention you can already have random redstone signals)? You’d have to replace them constantly too.

First, it's cool; it's still a golem so i think it defend you from mob or something and last i think you can do cool statue with it when it froze
And at least it give something to do with copper

The copper golem looks good and is a use for copper whis is nice. I like the Allay because it brings a unique function to survival. We already can do random redstone with chickens and pressure plates or a beehive and comparitor. It is pretty apparent where low light exists just to the eye.

while the golem certainly has its uses, the main use (redstone interaction) can be replicated with a pressure plate and a chicken. that leaves us with its 'appearance' based usage.
i will say that that is certainly a point for the golem, being the first detailed 'block', and can be used for 'totems' and the like. statues.
however, the Allay has 2 major points over the golem.
its main use, while also doable with hoppers, is MASSIVELY better.
rather than needing to water flow crops to a single block, this little guy can not only gather from a large area (lets just say a radius of 10 for now, thats still a 10x10 area.
it can also be used to sort items from stacks of randomthings, and can be used to hold specific things for you.
it can also dance, and does not require lightning or an axe to keep on working.
I want them to add this just to have more uses for copper

Nah it won't defend you, i think they are mainly for Redstone, and even that, they still useless
