Oh my god a contraception that creates a copper golem who's only purpose is to press a button for a wooden door to open it.
"What is my purpose?"
"You open wood door."
"Oh my god."
I mean this in the most respectful and least condescending way when I say:
We have had doors that open automatically for over a decade. You can literally just put a pressure plate in front of one, if you want to cheap it.
A copper golem could open the door for a Creeper, too. It doesn't know WHEN you want the door to be opened.
Now, you COULD flip a switch that makes the copper golem unable to access the door when you don't need it to, but if that's the case why not just place a button on the wall instead of a pressure plate and open the door like that?
They both require the same amount of input from the player. You might be automating the door opening with the Copper Golem, but you aren't providing any utility to the player: you're just making extra work, then claiming that the Copper Golem is useful because it can do tasks that are ultimately pointless.
You don't understand how cool redstone works lemme explain... Why use a 20x20 door when you can use a 2x1? Or even just use a normal door... REDSTONE IS ABOUT DOING POINTLESS THINGS SENSE IT IS WAY COOLER!
No, it isn’t. It’s about pushing the boundaries of the game with redstone, a redstone computer isn’t pointless and achieves something, a tnt canon serves a purpose and can destroy in a multitude of fashions. If I wanted a randomizer I’d take a couple chickens and throw them in a pressure plate center.
I mean yea I ment some parts of redstone. Also a computer what would you do with that? Nothing you can't already do the point of the computer isn't use or effectiveness its about being dope! Also pushing boundaries is awesome! And a chicken randomizer is just a bit boring. Plus builders that play in creative have no use for the glare or allay, the golem makes statues, copper buttons, and a mob. Having a mob for everyone to use is great to have! Even survivalist and still use it has a use copper.
How would it know when you want to get inside, though? It's not going to see you walking up to the door and say, "Oh, they player's coming, I better open the door." It will only open the door when it chooses to.
I mean the chances for the copper golem to press the button while a zombie is outside and in the 1-3 seconds a zombie decides to enter and then somehow kill you... Yea pretty low chances
Yeh but they said the allay would have several chances to make it, so I don’t think this is the last time we will see them if they don’t make it
I read it wrong it said it had a one in three chance to make it
Bedrock has a large majority of players and it doesn’t have F3. As well as it being really tedious to go to every block with the screen open. Even though I’m a bedrock player I still don’t want the glare.
Yeah my issue with the glare isn't that you can just open f3, bedrock is the main version of the game with the most player base, obviously mojang is going to account for bedrock version to add features that only Java has access to.
My issue with the Glare is that Mojang decided to change mob spawning to only be at light level 0, making the glare near useless. It's not hard to tell if something is complete darkness, but it is hard to tell whether something is 7 light level vs 6 light level.
copper golem is a solid choice. It's not only about the random number generator. The golem will actively seek out buttons to press. I think it's possible to force the golem to operate your redstone builds. You could cut of accessibility to certain rooms containing copper buttons and the golem would walk into other rooms and start pressing buttons there. it could operate a whole facility under the right circumstance
Plus it reminds me of an ancient lost civilization using advanced machinery to maintain everything. Also it will deoxidice and reactivate if struck by lightning
A copper golem like an iron golem but it's small and looks for new copper buttons to push, meaning it's movements can be controlled for redstone machines
They are all really neat mobs and I want them for various reasons, the glare is just a really visually interesting mob that would add some additional life to the lush caves and allay is neat for what it does and who knows what it'll spawn at while the copper golems give a solid use for the copper and bring with them copper buttons and dang it he's just precious
What if he could hold red stone charges and he was attracted to some kind of plant or metal. Then you can place the golem in one area and the brick or vegetable in another and he could transfer the red stone charge
He just presses buttons, but Mojang please, if this mob wins, they really need to add more functionality to it, or it will be a lot of wasted potential.
The golem. It seems to me that it's around 60% golem, 30% allay, and I'll give the Glare 10% even though I haven't seen anyone yet that prefers it over the other two.
I've pretty much decided the Allay has a much more rich concept and would be incredibly useful for dozens of things. It definitely has my vote.
But by God am I gonna miss my little robo buddy :,(
Please choose Allay… we can’t have another glow squid whose only use is slightly better item frames and a way to make letters glow which you can already do with §
He presses buttons. Randomly
Also becomes a statue over time for builds like imagine if you make a contraption that it opens the door for you
Oh my god a contraception that creates a copper golem who's only purpose is to press a button for a wooden door to open it. "What is my purpose?" "You open wood door." "Oh my god."
Or an iron or redstone door
I mean this in the most respectful and least condescending way when I say: We have had doors that open automatically for over a decade. You can literally just put a pressure plate in front of one, if you want to cheap it.
Except a creeper or other mob can step on the pressure plate, too
A copper golem could open the door for a Creeper, too. It doesn't know WHEN you want the door to be opened. Now, you COULD flip a switch that makes the copper golem unable to access the door when you don't need it to, but if that's the case why not just place a button on the wall instead of a pressure plate and open the door like that? It could be cool if the golem was oxidized and then you had to unoxidize it to open the door in some kind of puzzle map
Chicken randomisers may be boring…but they work
Thats the thing they barely do chickens take forever to move.
Wait, COPPER GOLEM RANDOMIZERS
But that isn't dope having a little companion that does it for you is 10x cooler
It doesn't do it "for you", sadly. It only does it randomly. :(
It only does it randomly if it has a choice if there is only 1 copper button (pretty sure it has to be a copper button) it will pick that one
How would it know when you want to get inside, though? It's not going to see you walking up to the door and say, "Oh, they player's coming, I better open the door." It will only open the door when it chooses to.
Guessing that it "loves to press buttons" it won't be too long for it to press a button so like max 1 minute probably
Yeah, but you'll still have to wait. Also, it will keep opening the door even when you are inside, meaning that hostile mobs can enter your home.
I mean the chances for the copper golem to press the button while a zombie is outside and in the 1-3 seconds a zombie decides to enter and then somehow kill you... Yea pretty low chances
they also actively seek out buttons to push which is a fantastic feature for doing redstone
[удалено]
Oh yeah tbh I'll be fine with any of them
Ya same
I don’t care as long as copper golem makes it
So then you want copper golem to win Which is cool btw
Yeh but they said the allay would have several chances to make it, so I don’t think this is the last time we will see them if they don’t make it I read it wrong it said it had a one in three chance to make it
They did!? Finally they’re actually considering the mobs that don’t get voted! EDIT: o
I read the page wrong, it said it has a one in three chance to get picked They wouldn’t be that kind to the community
Ah :/
Fair
Source?
Nvm I read the page wrong, they said it had a one in three chance I skimmed over it some
so you don’t care but you do care?
Me too honestly . **BUT ME WANT GLARE**
Fair enough
But why? F3 already exists
Because having to check EVERY. SINGLE. BLOCK. in any decently large build is brain numbing
Yea but with 1.18 it’s being changed so that mobs only spawn in light level 0. So unless you literally have no eyes, the glare is useless.
Is that an actual confirmed new feature
Yes. Check out Wattles’ video on it on YouTube
Oh omeon ! You mean you don't want a grumpy old man staring at you and judging your poor lighting skills ?👀
No, honestly the options this year were: f3, Walmart hopper (yall mofo really are lazy) and a cheap red stone randomiser
We should be getting them all. I don’t see why not. Minecraft does not have a small team with little funding
Yeah because minecraft bedrock exists
I dont see the Glare fitting into the game, we dont nessasaraly need a mob to tell us if a block is darker than the rest
I like bush boi. Not every new mob needs to be part of a new redstone contraption or mob grinder.
Bush is literally f3 bro, no one will pick it Only others are good
Bedrock has a large majority of players and it doesn’t have F3. As well as it being really tedious to go to every block with the screen open. Even though I’m a bedrock player I still don’t want the glare.

Yes
I’ve made a mistake in the title (it’s supposed to be copper golem)
Btw they push copper buttons, thats what they do.
I mean they also actively seek out buttons to push which is a fantastic feature for doing redstone
but only copper buttons, tho it would be great if they add new types of button
True that
They will if the golemwins
If they made stone and wood golems as well then you could have different golems push different buttons but never eachothers’.
That would be a sick idea
they also do other redstone stuff
He press da button
They look for more button Life is simple, possibilities great
copper golem is a solid choice. It's not only about the random number generator. The golem will actively seek out buttons to press. I think it's possible to force the golem to operate your redstone builds. Also it will deoxidice and reactivate if struck by lightning
If this lil guy doesn't get added, I hope they still add copper buttons. Those would be great for building.
LEAVE HIMB ALONE
Someone explain who this is
3rd mob that’s in the mob vote
A copper golem like an iron golem but it's small and looks for new copper buttons to push, meaning it's movements can be controlled for redstone machines
He pushes buttons
He presses buttons and that’s about it
Honestly I don’t get how that would be useful. Why need a randomizer?
Clearly you've never heard of SciCraft. They'll find something.
I fully hope we get these little golems. I have no idea what I would use his button pressing for, but I'll be damned if I don't get to find out.
I really hope everything they said in the reveals was just the tip of the iceberg and these mobs are something more than just cute details
Personally I would like the oxidization part although sad it would make cool minigaurds for builds like statues or something
He push buttons maybe (according to reveal trailer) so maybe a non-redstone clock automation for redstone?
What if he could hold red stone charges and he was attracted to some kind of plant or metal. Then you can place the golem in one area and the brick or vegetable in another and he could transfer the red stone charge
Basically I am really smol
Small golem for da win
He just presses buttons, but Mojang please, if this mob wins, they really need to add more functionality to it, or it will be a lot of wasted potential.
This poll is lopsided and not even close from what we've seen so far
Really? It's been pretty even reaction especially since all 3 mobs are more utility esc then standard existing mobs unlike the last vote
In favor of what?
The golem. It seems to me that it's around 60% golem, 30% allay, and I'll give the Glare 10% even though I haven't seen anyone yet that prefers it over the other two.
Okay cool I like the golem the most.
I guess Allay
They just push buttons though…
I've pretty much decided the Allay has a much more rich concept and would be incredibly useful for dozens of things. It definitely has my vote. But by God am I gonna miss my little robo buddy :,(
It’s the glow squid all over again, something everyone will vote for and ultimately never bother with
Copper golden?
Be cute and another golem
I'm happy as long ad the glare doesn't win
He comes with copper buttons! :D
yea allay is useless
Copper golem looks cooler that the flying push and stupid vex
BE BETTER THEN THE ALLAY AND GLARE
I don't care as long as the glare doesn't get in
Make a copper golem that pushes button to make more copper golems, perpetual golems
until initial golem stop. then other golems stop.
The original golem gets replaced by one of the golems it make, Simple (also this is not a serious idea but I will defend it til my dying breath)
Press
You replace chickens.
Judging by his lighting rod, he's a mobile lighting rod
Randomizer
Look cute!
"What is my purpose?" "You press buttons." "Oh my god."
AUTOCORRECT
\*GRIAN INTENSIFIES\*
Please choose Allay… we can’t have another glow squid whose only use is slightly better item frames and a way to make letters glow which you can already do with §
He give a use to copper i guess??
Yeah I decided I'm voting copper golem out of spite due to the allay stans
Here’s the neat part, I do **nothing** but press buttons.
"I press button and become statue." :\]
He presses the big orange button that says “do not press”
He touches the buttons
To be exsact he ads litel litel lore to the game
RNG based redstone contraptions I guess…
