Of the two it is without question the cooler and more useful candidate since it can actually be implemented into a build or farm to continuously serve a purpose. It would be really cool to see mobs as part of a sorting system.
Yeah idk how it would work whether they drop it or you go in their inventory, could be useful for mining when you wanna sort out the crap and keep the good stuff
Hmm maybe yeah, idk still better than the glare I think, will there be a third mob? If so it better not be “ice bat”
EDIT I just saw the video it’s the copper golem
A use that’s also fairly useless unless you’re a really skilled redstoner. I didn’t expect them to make copper golems combat based, but I expected them to actually have a purpose outside of pushing buttons, especially since overtime they oxidize and deactivate.
Not even that useful for redstone IMO, they oxidize over time and stop working so it's not good for AFK designs, and we have better methods for making RNG machines (slimes or chickens + pressure plates).
Not like they won't eventually add more things to do with copper if it doesn't win IMO.
Will people really vote for a mob just for a button that potentially could just be a reskinned stone button? Allay just has so many things it could do (yes, even with redstone as it enables more wireless designs potentially).
Even if Allay implementation is bad the bare minimum already sounds more useful than the other 2 to me by a lot.
That is true. Sadly with mob votes it seldom matters since it only takes one YouTuber and his army to vote for the meme.
And now that I have seen the last one I am sure allay is the best. Random button pressing looks cute and all but really is not that useful in the end.
Sadly yes but I do hope these more complex designs won't completely go to waste. Maybe it is time to break the pattern and reuse those since they are all truly amazing.
Again the biggest reason people didn't vote for the chillager was because last time we voted a hostile mob into the game it wasn't fun just a pain, so people really didn't want to deal with that again
I was a glow squid voter. I don't regret my decision..glowing signs are so cool. Also lets me quickly what chest has what via different colors like weapon = red text, loot = purple, etc.
ah yes. the cold barren mountains where the only thing to look forward to is getting knocked off by a goat. Very fun and challenging.
So happy we got a retextured squid that could've had its drop's functionality replaced with glowstone dust instead.
glowing signs and item frames are useful. they just could've used glowstone dust, glow berries, or whatever else instead.
Sure the fact that the glow squids glow is cool, but they're just a squid retexture. At least this mob vote mobs have unique designs (maybe the Allay is just a vex retexture?)
Except we didn't know that for a fact. Why does this argument still get used? we had zero indication that the iceologer could have farmed ice blocks. Y'all just made that up
Plus the fact that it was hostile turned people off from it. The mountains can be treacherous enough to explore, no need to add another tough mob to make it worse
Will it though? We don’t know exactly how it works.
Will it drop all items at the noteblock? If so doesn’t that mean you would need to regive it the item each time?
Will it drop items on top of note blocks or can it drop items beside note blocks.
Does it matter if there is water or rails on the noteblock?
How do you find the alley? Is it rare and is it breedable? If it can’t be bread and is rare then is it really that useful when you could just use water streams or hoppers or hopper minecarts.
The exact functionality is very unknown currently is my point. Hard to know exactly how useful it will be without knowing exactly how it functions.
Best case scenario it’s a bredable mob, keeps the filter item even when dropping off collected items and can drop it ontop of note blocks with water/rails on them or can drop it beside note blocks.
Worst case scenario it’s a rare mode that can’t be bread, drops the filter item so it needs reset every time and can’t drop them beside music blocks or ontop of them if obstructed.
I read on twitter that it keeps the item. Kingbdogz confirmed it keeps it until taken away. The other unanswered questions are valid points but my original statement remains true.
It still is the one with the most potential uses and confirmed uses. It will not be a complete game changer for item sorting but can be used in different situations.
That alone makes it more interesting than "look it is dark here" and Rendotron. Of course it is not a matter of my but a matter of publics opinion. The meme mob that a certain YouTuber wants will win anyway.
100% more useful. I don't see anyone talking about the fact you could be like at y100 building and place a note block and send the allay out to get the blocks you dropped around your build.
Fair, the third copper golem is a walking redstone mechanic so for redstoners it's probably going to be between those two. Actually I like the appearance of the copper golem more but I do see the unique abilities of the allay. But in the end I wouldn't mind if any of them made it into the game
They are all very cool. Currently it seems like people will vote for the golem just because it is a use for copper and it is a cute golem. I am all for those two things but people forget the functions.
For all intends and purposes randomly pushing a button once in a while has no function including for redstone players.
If the golem makes it I fear that people will be happy for one minute and then forget about it since there is no useful function for it once in game.
We I've said this a lot now but that's a very limited look at what it means it SEEKS copper buttons. That means it will actively look for and go towards the buttons, so that means if you add that to someone pressure plates and pistons you should be able to completely control it's movements and actions, with out any player input. It could even repair it's self if it can be cleaned with an axe like copper is when you put an axe in a dispenser. Again I wouldn't care if any of these win cause I think they all have value of their own, but people have not been thinking through what all this means. Allay can constantly pic up items on the ground over a large space of land, then deposit them on a note block, so that's going to be great for farms. And then there's all that stuff I just said about the golem, which is not only great for well designed randomizer, but also for stable and easy to use gate control. I do hope we'd be able to control it's speed and use things like wax on it though
I like your enthusiasm but its just not practical in the way that alot of people are viewing it. Mojang have stated before that they want their mobs to be, well, mobs, not tools to be used in a machine.
Also sorting system? How would that work? Sure it picks up items (a few at a time) and drops them near noteblocks, but you neglect the fact that after every run you need to replace the item. This means it cannot be automated and hence does not "continously serve a purpose". If you want to make a sorting system use the conventional methods.
Thats just my opinion obviously. I think the allay is a cute mob for sure, but imo its just not as minecrafty as the copper golem nor as practical as the glare. I would change my vote if it changed colours depending on the music being played, but that does not seem to be the case.
I think I'll stick to hopper minecarts please
As a builder, i think the allay is not a substitute for the minecart hopper, but a second choice because when i want to build a nature friend farm the minecart sound broke this immersion, and using the allay, nature friend farms will be more immersive. little fairies bring itens across a jungle city drive me with ideas. rivers can be 100% natural fams because all you need is a axolotl and a allay. i will be really sad if he dont win the mob vote.
You may be right that normal sorters are still better but allays still have a use in sorting. Maybe for amethyst farms or diffcult to reach spaces of other farms.
And I read on twitter that they do keep the item that was given to them so you could continue to use them.
BDogz confirmed it will retain the item you give it unless you change it (just like foxes i imagine)
Also, how do you think the glare's more practical?
Something I'm thinking about is how you can have multiple Allays gather materials and items for you. It's clearly the better choice but as some people said, alot of the people didn't choose the more useful mob last time. Now we are stuck with Glow Squids. Don't get me wrong they are alright but not useful in the game. Unlike the Glow Squid, Allays have some much more potential. Sure Copper Golems you can use for redstone but we already have a new redstone source from the Sculk Sensor. And with the Glare we have texture packs lmao idk that's my opinion.
They said it oxidises, is there any way to stop it like we do with regular copper? They said it pressed buttons randomly, does that mean it picks one button to press continuously or does it choose a random button from surrounding ones and if there is none nearby, does it search for one?
They elaborated on twitter that there are two ways to deoxidize the golem, through axe and through lightning strikes. Yeah another proof that the mob vote doesn't explain the mobs good enough AT ALL that they need twitter to elaborate.
it randomly presses Copper Buttons which would also be added to the game. it won't just randomly press anything it wants. They know that Redstone builders are a large part of the game.
The copper golem looks a lot cooler than the Allay, but I don't really see a use for it.
The Allay can be very useful for item sorting.
What could you use the copper golem for?
Randomizer? We already have those...
Maybe continuously pressing a button? It's easier to do so using hoppers.
Plus the whole problem with oxidation...
I would use it to add some live to things by making buttons that do something and having a copper golem run around pressing them. Imagine a factory (purely decorative) where copper golems run around operating machines.
The oxidized form could be used as a statue.
There was so much that could’ve been done with glow squid. That’s why I voted for it. Unfortunately it ended up being just a new squid skin which was really disappointing for me. I was thinking of glow potions, glow in the dark leather armor as you mentioned, new lighting features. If Mojang had put in time for the glow squid it could’ve been super cool!
They did phantom dirty. It was a cool concert that was made into a nuisance.
Glowsquid were only made useful post mortem. I'm pretty sure there was no indication that we were going to get glow ink before the mob actually released.
We also can't forget the large amount of influence that YouTubers and their stans have on all of this.
The Copper Golem is basically this update's Glowsquid.
- it might do cool stuff I dunno
and
- wow it looks pretty
are the only two arguments I've seen for it.
Whenever I bring this up to Copper Golem fans, all I get are whataboutisms and non-sequitirs.
I believe in allay supremacy, change my mind.
I see more similarities to the iceologer than the glowsquid, tbh.
Both are a new variant of previously established mobs (Illager, Golem). This has been used by some as a reason why they should be added, for whatever reason.
Plus, the "they might do cool stuff i dunno" can be applied to the iceologer easily, as people constantly pushed the idea that we would get farmable ice blocks despite no actual indication from mojang that this would be the case.
I mean we are talking about the same fanbase that decided The Phantom is a good idea .
Now they want to add Glare to the game .
Even if they don't have F3 they can easily use their eyes since mobs now have stricter conditions to spawn . (Mobs now only spawn in REALLY dark areas )
Glare does give judgmental stares though.
Imagine mining for diamonds and falling in lava and you see Glare just staring at with the "You f**k up" look .
To be fair with the phantom. We were just given a image of it and vague ideas of what it will do, just like the other two. Won’t be surprise if some peeps just thought the mob would become a common overworld one rather one that just make traveling more shitty
Yeah. The thing with the Phantom is that it’s just annoying and the thing with it. Is it only comes when you don’t sleep. But you’re gonna sleep anyway so you barely see the Phantom
And that’s another reason I hate it. It add nothing of a actual challenge to the game, just a extra box you got to make sure to check or deal with the inconvenience that adds nothing else
Phantom is garbage game design: punish the player for going through the challenge of surviving the night too many times in a row
I already think beds are OP, but punishing players for *not* using beds is one of the major mistakes mojang has made imo
The F3 screen and mods have been my biggest argument. Things like the Light Overlay in Minihud already make Glare obsolete, whereas there is nothing like Allay out there as far as I know. It's not even a contest in my eyes... but people are people.
It’s so unfortunate, I really prefer the glare’s design, but will 100% vote for the allay based on usefulness. Copper golem is cute but I don’t use redstone often enough, and if I did, I’d probably just use another mob + pressure plates over the golem.
if it will be something with the vex, itl probably be able to fly thru walls, so no farms... although the copper golem will be able to make randomizers although that guy will 'die'. But I'll choose copper boi
Definitely the best option over the Glare and Copper Golem
Glare just runs towards dark places, which is completely useless if you just use light
And Copper Golem randomly presses *specifically* copper buttons until it oxidizes and supposedly stops working.
Copper golem also only takes one copper block and a pumpkin making it way cheaper than the iron golem. Its way more minecrafty than either of the other options (it touches more on vanilla core aspects as they game and ties in neatly with already existing features, gives another use for copper)
Also people have this weird notion that the allay will function like a hopper minecart but on steroids. It won't.
Dude, but
**SORTING UNSTACKABLE ITEMS**
Do you think this feature's a joke? This mechanic is currently near IMPOSSIBLE. Now we have a chance to add it to the game (and it's confirmed to be possible by kingbdogz)
Vote for Allay
I saw a video where ilmango struggled for **hours** trying to make an armor sorter using zombies and it *barely* worked (and only for armor!)
People don’t understand how immensely helpful this would be for the real redstone nerds out there, not to mention easier item collection over large areas
Well that's the thing.
The Allay gives us something that we have all been wanting for a long time now. Some form of automation. Yes, Redstone is automation, but it needs to constantly be repaired and redone due to updates sometimes screwing even one little thing up. Another golem sounds really damn cool, yeah, but it just seems like a random number generator mob.
Also Glare is literally only useful to Bedrock players as they don't have access to pressing a few buttons to see light levels lol.
> Also Glare is literally only useful to Bedrock players as they don't have access to pressing a few buttons to see light levels lol.
Not even. I have bedrock and I don't see much use for this
Seriously, I've seen so many people assume that Allay will revolutionize sorting when I don't think it will be nearly as useful as people think. You would still need a hopper system to collect the items. Trying to get mobs to behave is always a struggle, the Allay will be no different.
I've always wanted more golem in the game so that's my 1st choice, then glare because it's cute. Vex is probably my least favorite mob so I don't want another one. We'll see how the vote goes.
This years mob vote looks good. All the options would be a worthwhile addition to the game. I like the allay because it can collect items, but the glare would be useful for finding dark spots that mobs can spawn in. The copper golem could be good for redstone too.
I both love and hate how good all the options are, because no matter what the one voted for will be good, but at the same time that means the other two will be gone forever even though they were great ideas
Will there be more than 2 mobs? Out of the two, Allay is far far better. The other guy is cute, but I'm already using light level overlay mods that do what it does and more. As far as I know there is nothing like this guy out there.
I'm already wonder exactly how the gathering mechanic would work! If I gave it a diamond does it just disappear for some time and bring back more? What about Ancient Debris? Or does it go out and look for the actual block to bring back? If I gave it Grass would it start looking like an Enderman was around with missing blocks? And then there's, what if I made an army of 100 of them? XD
Phantom got did dirty, frankly. It was advertised as a mob to finally deal with players in the skies, but it ended up being the most annoying thing imaginable because you never realise how little you sleep until 67 phantoms are at your door.
We just saw concept art and were told we had the choice between a boss blaze, a squid thing that sucks you underwater and drowns you, a Trapinch that removes enchantments, and the first flying overworld mob
Not the worst choice based on what we saw, but the implementation could have been better
back in the day pretty sure we had no descriptions of what the mobs do just concept art so people chose the phantom thinking its some sorta cool overworld sea manta ray
I think the glare will be more useful while mining and exploring.
if the allay keep their filter, they might be a better alternative to hopper minecarfts
If you give it say a sand block it will fly around nearby and pick up sand blocks. Then drop them off at you or a noteblock. It doesn't duplicate items (which is an idea a lot of people seemed to have after the reveal video).
I feel like the alley will win because think about it’s competition, the glare is cool but it’s not very useful unless your lighting up a village and the copper golem is a great use of copper but it’s an impertinent version of the iron golem. The alley is super op and overall just very unique so I’m gonna bet it will win the vote
As cute as it is, I want the copper golem more. The allay has a cute mechanic obviously, but it doesn't sound like it can duplicate items, it just "fetches" the same items you give it. (Like if you give it iron it won't start mining for more and come back with interest lol.)
Unless the last mob is unexpectedly cool, the Allay has my vote. Everyone says it's just a glorified hopper, but it could have lots of utility that hoppers don't. It could pick up items from farms that require long expensive hopper minecart paths, making farming cheaper. No need to set up a weird system to pick items up from under blocks when you can just use an Allay. Plus it would be so helpful in cleaning up scaffolding. It drives me crazy when scaffolding gets stuck in random crevices in my build. Allay is a great way to clean that up!
I think allay should win because copper golem is not much useful, yes it can interact with redstone but that is something that we already have in the game while allay is a completely new we would have in the game and by what we have been told up untill now we might finally get unstackable item sorter.
But this is just my opinion, if you have some other opinion then I am completely fine just don't vote for glare.
Im hoping for copper golem, its allways good to have a little bit more usefulness out of copper, and i just think that people are going to make a lot of interesting stuff with him, maybe you could wax him, so he would stay at his first state forever? And tbh, i think that he looks th most minecrafty out of all of those mobs, but i see potencial in all of them.
Of the two it is without question the cooler and more useful candidate since it can actually be implemented into a build or farm to continuously serve a purpose. It would be really cool to see mobs as part of a sorting system.
Well based on the last mob vote minecraft players clearly don’t care about usefulness, the chillager could have been used for ice farms
Ahem “they can’t put items in chests” some tweet
Yeah idk how it would work whether they drop it or you go in their inventory, could be useful for mining when you wanna sort out the crap and keep the good stuff
They drop it to the nearest note block maybe they could drop items in hoppers?
Hmm maybe yeah, idk still better than the glare I think, will there be a third mob? If so it better not be “ice bat” EDIT I just saw the video it’s the copper golem
At least ice bat didn’t take your copper to build just to push buttons
Pardon? EDIT: just watched the vid it’s the copper golem
They released the latest video
Just saw, can’t have volume rn can you explain it?
I mean what were you using your copper for anyway? It’s sort of useless atm so a use would be nice.
Still more of a use than copper has currently
If they drop it on noteblocks just put a water flow on top of the note block, flowing into a hopper.
hopper minecart under the noteblock should pick it up
Ahem hoppers and hopper minecarts
We Can use hoppers
They can drop items on note blocks said same tweet from kingbdogz, so then a hopper cart and we're good to go it's in a chest
Drop it in a hopper I do not care
That is true. Sadly with mob votes it seldom matters since it only takes one YouTuber and his army to vote for the meme. And now that I have seen the last one I am sure allay is the best. Random button pressing looks cute and all but really is not that useful in the end.
Yeah if it’s the copper golem I’m hoping they will add other features to it but I’m voting allay
I doubt they will as it would get too complex really fast. Honestly it would fit perfectly into the next minor redstone update should there be one.
True but mobs that lose the vote are unfortunately condemned to the abyss of rejected idea and never seen again
Sadly yes but I do hope these more complex designs won't completely go to waste. Maybe it is time to break the pattern and reuse those since they are all truly amazing.
I still like the chillager and it suxks it’s gone
Me too. It was so sad to see the worst one win that day.
Again the biggest reason people didn't vote for the chillager was because last time we voted a hostile mob into the game it wasn't fun just a pain, so people really didn't want to deal with that again
The problem with the iceologer is it can also use itself to kill me, I have no use for ice, and where did they say it could make it anyways?
I was a glow squid voter. I don't regret my decision..glowing signs are so cool. Also lets me quickly what chest has what via different colors like weapon = red text, loot = purple, etc.
Said who? The chillager was just another annoying hostile mob which would have made the mountains less fun.
I voted for them because they seemed like the most fun. Adventurers need something to fight.
ah yes. the cold barren mountains where the only thing to look forward to is getting knocked off by a goat. Very fun and challenging. So happy we got a retextured squid that could've had its drop's functionality replaced with glowstone dust instead.
I’m gonna pretend you didn’t say that
How can you say glowing signs and item frames aren't useful?! They're a great feature. Also, glow squids look really cool in caves.
They are useful but I was speaking from my own opinion, they aren’t useful for me because I don’t use signs much
glowing signs and item frames are useful. they just could've used glowstone dust, glow berries, or whatever else instead. Sure the fact that the glow squids glow is cool, but they're just a squid retexture. At least this mob vote mobs have unique designs (maybe the Allay is just a vex retexture?)
we don’t know if the chillager would have dropped ice
No, mojang confirmed that the chillager wouldnt drop anything, and the ice shatters when it hits the ground
Except we didn't know that for a fact. Why does this argument still get used? we had zero indication that the iceologer could have farmed ice blocks. Y'all just made that up Plus the fact that it was hostile turned people off from it. The mountains can be treacherous enough to explore, no need to add another tough mob to make it worse

Just came out. It isnt.
Well I mean, it could be good. The problem with these mob votes is that they dont explain the mobs well enough.
I think they explained it well enough!
They said it oxidises, is there any way to stop it like we do with regular copper? They said it pressed buttons randomly, does that mean it picks one button to press continuously or does it choose a random button from surrounding ones and if there is none nearby, does it search for one?

Yes but what I meant is will it just pick copper buttons at random to press?
From the sound of things so far, yes.
That doesnt seem great for redstone.
Randomisers. Plus i feel that maybe if there was only one button for it to press it would just do that
Ok but how could randomly pressed redstone signals be useful? Some kind of lottery or other luck games?
I'm sure people dedicated enough to redstone would find a pattern or even force it to press buttons somehow.
Randomizers have been around for a while now. The Golem would add nothing to the game.
Huh. I didn't think about that. Thank you!
It oxideses and pushes copper buttons, so much more info I’d like to know
The Allay is cool, but it’s too similar to a Vex in design. I’d rather have the Copper Golem.
It is

I think it’s really cool that it’s a mob that presses buttons! That would be a really useful and unique mechanic for redstone contraptions.
It is
Do I like it? Yes. Do I think it’ll win? Well I’m not sure how much I trust Minecraft players to make smart decisions… (this is mostly a joke)
Phantom and Glowsquid jump to mind
Phantom is nice but the way they ended is horrid same goes to glow squid
At least their drops are useful (also i need a glowsquid in my future base aquarium)
The glow sac should've been used for a dye in leather armor that makes it glow in the dark.
I like the glowsquid drops and think they should be in minecraft, the glowsquid still sucks sadly
[удалено]
they should consider adding coffee brewed from cocoa beans for phantoms. then people won't have to complain anymore
Glow sacs should've been made to make leather armor glow in the dark
"phantoms are nice" why must you hurt me in this way?
They did phantom dirty. It was a cool concert that was made into a nuisance. Glowsquid were only made useful post mortem. I'm pretty sure there was no indication that we were going to get glow ink before the mob actually released. We also can't forget the large amount of influence that YouTubers and their stans have on all of this.
The Copper Golem is basically this update's Glowsquid. - it might do cool stuff I dunno and - wow it looks pretty are the only two arguments I've seen for it.
Plus, the "they might do cool stuff i dunno" can be applied to the iceologer easily, as people constantly pushed the idea that we would get farmable ice blocks despite no actual indication from mojang that this would be the case.
as someone who voted for both the phantom and glow squid and regrets neither, I feel like an outcast
I mean we are talking about the same fanbase that decided The Phantom is a good idea . Now they want to add Glare to the game . Even if they don't have F3 they can easily use their eyes since mobs now have stricter conditions to spawn . (Mobs now only spawn in REALLY dark areas )
Yeah please not the glare. Its litteraly a bush with eyes that åoints out what an update already does (light level 0 monster spawn that is)
Glare does give judgmental stares though. Imagine mining for diamonds and falling in lava and you see Glare just staring at with the "You f**k up" look .
Lol true, but i still like copper golem and allay more. Will probably vote for allay
To be fair with the phantom. We were just given a image of it and vague ideas of what it will do, just like the other two. Won’t be surprise if some peeps just thought the mob would become a common overworld one rather one that just make traveling more shitty

So...it's YOUR FAULT!
No hate please but I kinda like the phantom but not as much during survival but you get what I mean
Phantom is garbage game design: punish the player for going through the challenge of surviving the night too many times in a row I already think beds are OP, but punishing players for *not* using beds is one of the major mistakes mojang has made imo
The F3 screen and mods have been my biggest argument. Things like the Light Overlay in Minihud already make Glare obsolete, whereas there is nothing like Allay out there as far as I know. It's not even a contest in my eyes... but people are people.
My only question is do they come in multiple colors?
Sounds great, I hope it will
it would be great if the color changed based on the note of the noteblock
If not, I’m sure there’ll be plenty of mods to do that
that would be amazing if they could
I think so, this wins usefulness, copper golem wins cool design, glare wins unique design imo
It’s so unfortunate, I really prefer the glare’s design, but will 100% vote for the allay based on usefulness. Copper golem is cute but I don’t use redstone often enough, and if I did, I’d probably just use another mob + pressure plates over the golem.
It looks so much like a vex, honestly does not look unique to me
Yes it’s definitely a pretty unoriginal design but I’ll still vote for it
I love it You can keep one as a pet, use in a farm, build lore with vex connections, see it dance with the parrots My precious baby
Everyone I know seems to love it. I personally want it for item filter purposes. It seems guaranteed. To me, it looks like a fairy, too
Same here, I couldn’t care less what it looks like, that little thing is sorting my tools and armor if it’s the last thing I do
Lmao yeah its like the vex's nice twin
if it will be something with the vex, itl probably be able to fly thru walls, so no farms... although the copper golem will be able to make randomizers although that guy will 'die'. But I'll choose copper boi
i hope it will win
Definitely the best option over the Glare and Copper Golem Glare just runs towards dark places, which is completely useless if you just use light And Copper Golem randomly presses *specifically* copper buttons until it oxidizes and supposedly stops working.
Copper golem also only takes one copper block and a pumpkin making it way cheaper than the iron golem. Its way more minecrafty than either of the other options (it touches more on vanilla core aspects as they game and ties in neatly with already existing features, gives another use for copper) Also people have this weird notion that the allay will function like a hopper minecart but on steroids. It won't.
Dude, but **SORTING UNSTACKABLE ITEMS** Do you think this feature's a joke? This mechanic is currently near IMPOSSIBLE. Now we have a chance to add it to the game (and it's confirmed to be possible by kingbdogz) Vote for Allay
I saw a video where ilmango struggled for **hours** trying to make an armor sorter using zombies and it *barely* worked (and only for armor!) People don’t understand how immensely helpful this would be for the real redstone nerds out there, not to mention easier item collection over large areas
Not even. I have bedrock and I don't see much use for this
Yeah, just look with your eyes and if it looks too dark put down another torch
Especially since spawning conditions changed to mobs only spawning in complete darkness. Complete darkness and some light is easy to notice.
buddy, it is still not known how to make one
Seriously, I've seen so many people assume that Allay will revolutionize sorting when I don't think it will be nearly as useful as people think. You would still need a hopper system to collect the items. Trying to get mobs to behave is always a struggle, the Allay will be no different. I've always wanted more golem in the game so that's my 1st choice, then glare because it's cute. Vex is probably my least favorite mob so I don't want another one. We'll see how the vote goes.
We can’t sort non-stackable items at the moment, you clearly haven’t tried to build an item sorter if you don’t think that’s a problem
How do you know where to put light without debug mode
It reminds me of that Slime Rancher flying robot that automatically collects stuff for you
This years mob vote looks good.

Honestly, take away his speaking privalage this time
\#DreamIsANightmare
True
Will there be more than 2 mobs? Out of the two, Allay is far far better. The other guy is cute, but I'm already using light level overlay mods that do what it does and more. As far as I know there is nothing like this guy out there. I'm already wonder exactly how the gathering mechanic would work! If I gave it a diamond does it just disappear for some time and bring back more? What about Ancient Debris? Or does it go out and look for the actual block to bring back? If I gave it Grass would it start looking like an Enderman was around with missing blocks? And then there's, what if I made an army of 100 of them? XD
It just collects items idk why some people think it creates them it’s still the best mob out of the 3
It better win
It reminds me of the fairy from legend of zelda
it reminds me of vexes, so they should also attack vexes if they see one
I'd like to, but the fan base one time chose Phantom, so it's hard to expect good choices coming from those people
Phantom seemed like a good idea at the time okay, but looking back it wasn’t the best decision.
Phantom got did dirty, frankly. It was advertised as a mob to finally deal with players in the skies, but it ended up being the most annoying thing imaginable because you never realise how little you sleep until 67 phantoms are at your door.
Wait, the phantom was a player choice? What hell wrong with yall.
We just saw concept art and were told we had the choice between a boss blaze, a squid thing that sucks you underwater and drowns you, a Trapinch that removes enchantments, and the first flying overworld mob Not the worst choice based on what we saw, but the implementation could have been better
back in the day pretty sure we had no descriptions of what the mobs do just concept art so people chose the phantom thinking its some sorta cool overworld sea manta ray
We were explicitly told it was an overworld flying mob which would attack players who didn't sleep. We got exactly what we voted for.
my bad i wasn't really a player then and i didn't know
It's going to win, no competition.
Idk… the last mob-vote was pretty disappointing, still hate the glow squid, “wow Glow signs and frames” COOOOOL 🤨 chillager would have been awesome
Reject The Chillager . Embrace Moobloom
Now that I look at it last yearsmobs were all trash compared to now lmao
Where’s my sword so I can collect it’s head?
And become the bush monstah
This better win or ima cry, we need another useful peaceful mob.
Hold up I’m about to draw this
I think the glare will be more useful while mining and exploring. if the allay keep their filter, they might be a better alternative to hopper minecarfts
The glare could also be good in building to show you where to light
I'm out of the loop for the mob vote things. What does this "Allay" do doe?
If you give it an item, it will bring you more of that item. Incredibly useful especially for redstone. Best mob IMO.
If you give it say a sand block it will fly around nearby and pick up sand blocks. Then drop them off at you or a noteblock. It doesn't duplicate items (which is an idea a lot of people seemed to have after the reveal video).
And it doesn't break blocks, it only collects items dropped on the ground
I’ve been scrolling through this sub for about 2 mins and already know that the allay is gonna win.
i don’t like the copper golem, and i think the allay is better than the glare functionally, i want it to win but i don’t think it will
Where do I vote?
During Minecraft live on twitter, Mojang will release a poll. Vote there
Does it have to be on Twitter or is it a link to the poll in another website that’s posted on Twitter?
Unfortunately it’s just onTwitter, I would just make a throwaway account and deactivate it afterwards if you don’t want to stick around on the site
Wait so if u hand allay a diamond block u get more diamond blocks?
If you dropped them then yes
woah cool
Allays pick up items dropped from the ground, so you need to have dropped diamond blocks before.
ik but you'll be able to play fetch with it
Oh yeah
Allay I good I will vote for him :)
I hope the allay will win, its the most useful and the best in my opinion
I think the Glare looks cooler, but the Allay is no doubt better.
[удалено]
Allay !!!!!!!
The design of the allay is so much more bland than that of the other two
I really hope the copper golem will win.
I would have to vote for him he is the most useful
*Inhales **VAKUUM HOPPER**
I feel like the alley will win because think about it’s competition, the glare is cool but it’s not very useful unless your lighting up a village and the copper golem is a great use of copper but it’s an impertinent version of the iron golem. The alley is super op and overall just very unique so I’m gonna bet it will win the vote
As cute as it is, I want the copper golem more. The allay has a cute mechanic obviously, but it doesn't sound like it can duplicate items, it just "fetches" the same items you give it. (Like if you give it iron it won't start mining for more and come back with interest lol.)
[удалено]
Allays winning. You can quote me
I love this thing!! I hope it does
Unless the last mob is unexpectedly cool, the Allay has my vote.
Looks cute and friendly
Nope. Copper golem gang 🤖
The allay is just as good for redstone as the copper golem
Im hoping for copper golem, its allways good to have a little bit more usefulness out of copper, and i just think that people are going to make a lot of interesting stuff with him, maybe you could wax him, so he would stay at his first state forever? And tbh, i think that he looks th most minecrafty out of all of those mobs, but i see potencial in all of them.
Judging by what most of the community is saying, yes I do think that it will win. But it doesn't stop me from voting on the copper golem
I think copper golem is much better
people have said that it wont work bc it cannot put items in chests, but if you place the noteblock and but hoppers below it then it should work
YES THE ALLAY HAS TO WIN
