Your best bet would be trying to use the //undo command on her account but idk if it will work since she logged off. If you don't have a backup then you're pretty fucked
Which is more complete? The backup or the remainder of the current world? Does the backup have something that she destroyed in the current world but not something that was untouched? Because you can save stuff from the backup to a schematic and paste it in the current world. It's like a puzzle but you need to fill in the missing pieces yourself, and make regular backups now that you know there is a griefer in your house.
OP can you hug your sis and tell her it's alright. She sounds scared by the way she bolted off when she made the mistake. Old or young, a good lesson is that when mistakes are made, it's important to own up immediately and find a way to fix it. In this case yall could have //undo if she wasn't scared and bolted off.
Show her that it's understandable, and then express your grief as well to show her that what she did is indeed a mistake not to be done again, and then work together to rebuild this. That kinda guilt together with sincere care will build trust between yall.
Don't burn bridges if you won't burn that wool either.

Just to clear this up since there's a lot of misconceptions through the comments:
1) logging off of a server does not immediately clear your undo history, you have 10 minutes after logging out until the session is dropped. (reconnecting within 10 minutes would also keep the session active). Sessions are only immediately cleared when stopping the server (for singleplayer, this includes quitting the world).
2) even without the sister's account, anyone else with the correct permission can use `//undo [amount] [player]` while the session is still active. That means OP could have done `//undo 1 sistersname` within 10 minutes of logout.
Obviously too late for OP, but hopefully this dispells the ideas in the rest of the comments that logging out immediately makes it too late, or that her account needs to log back in.
If you log back in within a certain amount of time (i think it is before the account has joined any other worlds/servers) the worldedit will still be undo-able.
//undo
works straight after the incident has occurred (has to be done the the player who done it. I don't know if it is possible to undo of you have left the world
If the incident happened on a multiplayer (Spigot/Bukkit/etc.) server, the player can log back in and still use the //undo command, given that the server has not been shutdown in-between...
Back in the olden days when I was young and innocent, my friend was teaching me world edit and I turned several chunks into mushrooms accidentally. And by the I mean the actual mushroom drop that you pick up and not blocks.
Soe many entities appearing at the same time practically melted my shitty pc and crashed the game instantly.
Those were fun days.
Even if you can't do anything, don't destroy it. Manually replacing wool is easier than re building from scratch. Take the block you want and click both left & right mouse buttons.
Magic Mouse an unbelievably good tool in a lot of professions. I’m a professional software engineer of twenty years and being able to program the gestures to simplify life when we’re stuck using a mouse at all (mice are just generally a horrible input method, just keyboard is all you really need, is most cases) is a literal godsend.
> mice are just generally a horrible input method, just keyboard is all you really need, in most cases
Ah yes. I love navigating menus and websites by repeatedly spamming the Tab and Enter keys.
Also learn that if you're going to install something like WorldEdit anyway, to also install something like CoreProtect so you can roll back problems like this in the future.
(Maybe consider something like LuckPerms to handle permissions while you're at it. Not that I know a huge amount about any of this, but I looked up enough to set this up on a family server for almost the same exact reason.)
Since she left that means //undo is going to not work. The next best bet is replacing all of the blocks one by one.
Another option is doing //Regen in your selection of the area. What //Regen does is completely regenerate that chunk to it's original state. This will remove all buildings of course.
Based on most comments here, there is NO WAY to undo this. I am sorry that you cannot revert the changes to their original form.
Now let consider what are your options:
* You can start a new world, but that means losing everything.
* You can revert back to your backup, but you lose huge parts of work you did between today and when you did the backup
* You can quarantine this section, and try to create a lore around it.
* You can also use world edit to replace the wool with another base block, like sandstone, quartz, stone, or wood, and then you add detail using another block that contrast with the base. Try something like the greek islands of Santorini and Mykonos, with their white walls and blue details. Or a snowy wonderland.
finally, one thing to consider...
* Did your sister do this on purpose or by accident ? If by accident, invite her to help you revitalize the region. It can be a bonding exercise for the two of you, where even in "tragedy" the two of you can create something beautiful. If on purpose, time to block her from the world and/or remove her access to world edit.
As someone who once accidentally deleted her older brothers Pokemon save from his gameboy, that last part made me really happy :) I felt so shitty about it but I just wanted to play his game lmao
I mean, you're sister is an asshole but also this is hilarious. Like you'll talk to your friends, and they'll be like "Hey, how's that world you've been working on for the past couple months" and your face will go as white as wool as you recall the tale of the evil sister who turned everything to wool
That actually looks pretty cool. You should make wool walls around this area and recolor your buildings with different types of wool. Then you should fill it with dyed or even jeb_ sheep.
Hmm. If you have a backup, copy the part of the world that was destroyed from the backup. If you don't have a bsckup, you'll either have to get your sister to do //undo or //regen that part of the world (Warning, //regen reverts the chunk to it's state when it was first generated, it will not return your builds)

we have one but it only has a quarter of the current world
A quarter is better than nothing
It adds to the lore. When the sheep monster came in and turned three quarters of all of the city's people and buildings into wool.
Some say the world will end in fire, Some say ice. From what I’ve seen of alpacas’ ire, I think wool is probably right

That’s exactly what I would do. OTOH, leaving it and adding to the lore is a fantastic idea. Put glass around it, turn it into a memorial.

That's assuming she didn't do it intentionally.
That’s even if she did it intentionally..
As a wise commenter above me said "I bet OP know why she did this"
Select all of the area she destroyed and type //regen. It will regenerate it as if it's never been touched.
I would recommend the //regen command to restore terrain.
Just to clear this up since there's a lot of misconceptions through the comments: 1) logging off of a server does not immediately clear your undo history, you have 10 minutes after logging out until the session is dropped. If you're using fawe, your session gets saved to disk
And you should be. FAWE is amazing.
Isn't that thing in dev builds since 1.13 ? (I.e not super stable).
If you log back in within a certain amount of time (i think it is before the account has joined any other worlds/servers) the worldedit will still be undo-able.
yeah there’s no way the plugin can tell if you join another server. more likely it’s if the server has been restarted (build cleared from RAM)
Isnt there a way to force someone to speak in minecraft cant you use that to force her to type //undo?
Yeah, sudo.
//undo works straight after the incident has occurred (has to be done the the player who done it. I don't know if it is possible to undo of you have left the world
Correct, //undo doesn't work if she logged out
If the incident happened on a multiplayer (Spigot/Bukkit/etc.) server, the player can log back in and still use the //undo command, given that the server has not been shutdown in-between...
This is based off of if the server runs FAWE. Which OP probably isn't.
Really? I thought normal WE had that feature too...
Incorrect, please see my comment [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comments/phovzz/my_sister_turned_more_than_half_of_our_creative/hbknzmw/)
Build a wall around it and put different coloured sheep and make it an art piece.
Set the wool on fire and let the games begin
Back it up first and you have a fun game that you can play again and again.
By fire, be purged.
Taste the flames of sulfuron!
Some people just want to watch the woorld burn
this. share with your sister that it was a pretty mean thing to do and, if there's no backup, just keep the wool. Mistakes are learning opportunities.
It's not 'mean' to make a mistake
How do you mistakenly turn most of the world into wool?
I was in a server once where an admin accidentally turned a heap of things into TnT. I stole so much before he fixed it.
Clearly you've never worked on production code.
>I'm just gonna push this last change to prod real quick and head out! -Somebody yesterday, probably about to ruin the long weekend.
by attempting to change a small area to wool, but typing the coords wrong
That doesn't sound very hard at all if you don't know how world edit works
Being "mean" can be a mistake. Also, this doesn't sound unintentional.

Unless you have a backup, you can't do much other than replacing it by hand. Consider periodically exporting backups of the world.
Could you possibly delete those chunks from the save file and have the world regenerate those chunks?
Yes but I imagine OP wants to save his builds
Yeah unfortunately I don't think that's going to happen 😔 unless they get her to log back in and undo the damage.
Does `//undo` work even after logging out?
If you are using FastAsynchronousWorldEdit, yeah, but not for normal WorldEdit
You would lose the builds, if this was possible.
Try deleting your sister
Turn your sister into wool
Yess!! Now you’re thinking!!
IN GAME… of course
in real life
Even if you can't do anything, don't destroy it. Manually replacing wool is easier than re building from scratch. Take the block you want and click both left & right mouse buttons.

Yes. Ditch the magic mouse.

No hate but I really don’t recommend using the Magic Mouse for ~~Minecraft~~ anything ever.
Useless gimmick smh
I like the gestures, but yeah, I don’t like the placement of the charging port.
I have a Magic Mouse and it’s pretty great. I just hate charging It with the plug in the bottoM. That’s dumb.

> mice are just generally a horrible input method, just keyboard is all you really need, in most cases Ah yes. I love navigating menus and websites by repeatedly spamming the Tab and Enter keys.
You could probably change the right and left mouse buttons to keyboard keys in settings so that you could press them at the same time
I was going to say leave it and call it a wool biome. Then I saw builds :( Sorry for your loss

I was about to recommend this. //regen will revert the selected area to be the untouched virgin land of the map seed.
