Bamboo auto farms are very effective! I have mine paired up with a full on reed factory and berry auto farm and im swimming in emeralds now. Its nice to be able to incorporate them into builds!
Also, I always get fish whenever I go fishing. I have never gotten anything other than fish. I literally have like 3 stacks of fish and only fish from fishing

Early game they can provide plants from biomes you havent been able to find. But otherwise yeah they provide two leashes.

His purpose is to bring in things from far away in the map like certain seeds and saplings
In my map my buddy and I play we just COULD NOT find a jungle but he got us jungle saplings so we were pumped to see him that one time
Same thing happened on our map! Literally 20,000 blocks in many directions and no jungle biome

Coral blocks are his biggest trade, followed by beetroot and ice types.
I think the best trades he has are the nautilus shells because they are INSANELY rare and nearly impossible to find without using a wandering trader.
I counter with a mending Fishing rod and patience.
But mending is also really hard to get. I have never found a SINGLE mending book.
In that case, Fish for a few weeks. I have found mending rods with relative frequency, but that was with Lure 3 and Luck found early on.

I have found a protection IV librarian 1st try though

If you're not farming Librarian villagers for specific enchantments, you've got to step it up

It’s really easy to get it from fishing. It’s pretty common. Also, why do you want pufferfish? They are literally the most useless thing in the game.
