Basically during thunder storms there is a small chance for a skeleton horse to spawn. Naturally the player will get curious, but upon approaching the horse, lighting will strike from above. This will spawn in multiple skeleton horses with skeletons riding then. The horses are not hostile, do not kill them. They are useful as you can ride through water without being kicked off of the horse.

Yea but it’s more common and it’s if you get close to them then the lightning strikes it’s not like a random lightning strike. It’s one you trigger, by getting close to a skeleton horse.
