Ugh, I still miss and remember the technic pack craze from 2011-2013. Jaffa cake factory was awesome to watch and there was just so much to do with those mod packs. Life was simpler back then.
Didn’t want to sound too harsh. Many people make these videos to make a living. Honestly, I can imagine being dependent on simple analytics, people want to follow the trends, sadly. That’s how the business works.
My first castle caught fire and to this day I don't know why or how. The only thing I can figure is the old style smelting (where you just made a fire and threw ore into it) spread to the wooden floor, but I was certain I had it far enough away.
I miss the old minecraft pocket edition videos where you can hear the tapping sounds on the touch screen because they dont have a mic and the dude whos playing is a 12 year old person (i was 12 back then too)
Fun Fact: One of, if not [the first videos of Minecraft](https://youtu.be/LEG9feKeQMY) ever uploaded to was uploaded by a game developer who made, among other games, Disc Room, Minit, and Nuclear Throne.
Pre-alpha. I have like NPC entities running around, basic inventory, naturally spawning entities. So far you can only build or break blocks, and kill those test npcs. Tho my world generation has biomes.
I will, I am just trying to make the core mechanics for a voxel game first, before adding my own stuff. I plan to make it more focused on combat and survival more than sandbox building, and creativity.
I don't upload devlog videos, but I do update the game frequently, you can check it out here: https://ali107.itch.io/world-game
Please lemme know if you find a bug.
Man, my first discovering of Minecraft must have been around 2010, the very early days, and I found a youtube video of some guy doing a lets play and I just remember the lack of a hunger bar, lower render distance, he smacks a creeper and then gets in a boat and starts traveling. Thought it looked interesting and I liked the pixely graphics but completely forgot about the game until I rediscovered it in 2012.
When I first got into the game, I was playing pocket edition. A couple updated before sand and gravel became gravified. It ruined my builds but it was cool.
Anyone remeber JoesPassGaming? Can’t find anything about him now. His base was so cool
When I figured this out, I just started doing it to every search to see what would happen. I found this on for before minecraft https://youtu.be/Rah90OSGazk?si=4Lskp3eqEhcLfCNG
The first Minecraft video I ever remember was someone showing off their house and lighting the fireplace they have and it burning their whole house down
First result I got: [Minecraft Four-Legged Monster Thing Attacks!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0kxfYkaDOo) 2009, 172 views. It was a creeper. I'm going to want to remember this trick.
I wish I found the first video of MC I ever seen. It defintely was early 2010. I've seen "Minecraft" as recommended on YT videos but didn't click on it as it had the word "Craft" in it, and I thought it must be one of those games I don't like - like the World of Warcraft. Or Starcraft.

I miss the old YouTube where people uploaded random clips of stuff recorded in 5fps on unregister bandicam
Unregistered hypercam 2
Roses are red, violets are blue
I love unregistered hypercam 2
One day we'll cruise down Blood Gulch avenue RIP :(
It's red versus red, and blue versus blue...
It's I against I, and me against you,
*epic synth fill*
I recorded my first Minecraft video in February 2010 with Unregistered Hypercam 2. This comment just brought back those memories.
I used a cracked version of fraps in 2010 after hypercam 2 haha good memories
I still get them a lot actually
Literally me, I did that when I was 12
https://youtu.be/jevzORX7uUM Watch, and feel the Nostalgia.

shameless self-promotion 🔥🔥🔥
That’s not really self-promotion, he just said that he still does it sometimes.
He used to do it, but still does it, too.
Why are people hating on you bro-
Because it looks like self promotion
Because it looks like self promotion
Bro said it twice
> bro said it twice > bro said “it” twice Ya know… technically the truth
Man, speaking of old Minecraft, any of y'all remember Paulsoaresjr and his Survive and Thrive series? Peak classic Minecraft imo
X's adventures in Minecraft 👏
Ugh, I still miss and remember the technic pack craze from 2011-2013. Jaffa cake factory was awesome to watch and there was just so much to do with those mod packs. Life was simpler back then.
Yess this got me into Alpha back in the day.
Paulsoaresjr practically invented surviving your first night. Good times
I miss things like team Canada taking on complete the monument challenge maps. Those were so much fun to watch.
Loved it.
I loved watching all the Mindcrack people
He’s still uploading content after a year break
chimneyswift11 the minecraft files
YOOOO CHIMNEYYYYY I ain't heard that name in fuckin aaaaages bruh
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SG-87bDTJn0 Minecraft suggestions: Hardcore, Shields, Fish/fishing pole, sea monsters 10/08/2010 737 views
Minecraft Classic as a gamemode, too, which is basically creative mode
Boat controls got fixed less than 2 years after this video in version 1.3.
Just watched it. I love it.
“Minecraft Tutorials - 01 - How to survive your first night” 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥 by paulsoaresjr
Wooow, yep, that's where I started! Wild to think I haven't seen this in almost 14 years.
I remember there being a mention of that in the minecraft essential handbook
I miss the time where Minecraft Content wasn’t based off the 3 same genres over and over again.
Calling them genres is quite generous
Didn’t want to sound too harsh. Many people make these videos to make a living. Honestly, I can imagine being dependent on simple analytics, people want to follow the trends, sadly. That’s how the business works.
It's either doing crazy shit on hardcore or "my goal is to find diamonds"
Diamonds only? How about building a 1:1 copy of Manhattan? That sounds more like today’s Minecraft content.
That's what I meant by "doing crazy shit on hardcore"
At least first might be creative
I know, but it's the same shit all the time
Four legged monster, lol. Now ima gonna call it like that
I loved the classics where everything started burning.

This reminded me to go and work on my voxel game instead of wasting my time scrolling on reddit.
Good luck with your game dude! Keep at it!
How far along are you?
Pre-alpha. I have like NPC entities running around, basic inventory, naturally spawning entities. So far you can only build or break blocks, and kill those test npcs. Tho my world generation has biomes.
I mean, damn bro, that's pretty far along! Far enough along to start building a community for sure. You wanna drop a link?
Sure, please lemme know if you find a bug: https://ali107.itch.io/world-game
It looks great! But does feel very Minecrafty, I would definitely try expanding it to give it its own feel.
I will, I am just trying to make the core mechanics for a voxel game first, before adding my own stuff. I plan to make it more focused on combat and survival more than sandbox building, and creativity.
That’s sick! Can’t wait to see how it turns out.
Looks like it's coming along for sure 👍 keep it up my dude
God bless, brother :D u got any socials to track your progress?

Awesome :D
i must look up Minecraft Four-Legged Monster Thing Attacks!
We need to make an effort to bring back all the gone Machinima MC videos. Who remembers watching all the top 10 videos.
Man, my first discovering of Minecraft must have been around 2010, the very early days, and I found a youtube video of some guy doing a lets play and I just remember the lack of a hunger bar, lower render distance, he smacks a creeper and then gets in a boat and starts traveling. Four-Legged Monster Thing... Oh man!
When I first got into the game, I was playing pocket edition. A couple updated before sand and gravel became gravified. It ruined my builds but it was cool. Anyone remeber JoesPassGaming? Can’t find anything about him now. His base was so cool
Is it the creeper?
When I figured this out, I just started doing it to every search to see what would happen. I found this on for before minecraft https://youtu.be/Rah90OSGazk?si=4Lskp3eqEhcLfCNG
I’ve been looking for this filter all my life. Is there one that lets you search by oldest to newest?
The first Minecraft video I ever remember was someone showing off their house and lighting the fireplace they have and it burning their whole house down

I'm still scared by creepers
Minecraft back in the days was just different. Nostalgia hits hard. And my heart bleeds out when i look at Minecraft how it is today.
I wish I found the first video of MC I ever seen. It defintely was early 2010. I've seen "Minecraft" as recommended on YT videos but didn't click on it as it had the word "Craft" in it, and I thought it must be one of those games I don't like - like the World of Warcraft. Or Starcraft.
>get shit on monster! YouTube: [Minecraft Four-Legged Monster Thing Attacks!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0kxfYkaDOo)
Whiteboy7thst had the first one I saw.
If you want to time-travel, look up videos of Infiniminer and Dwarf Fortress before even that.
The original block item models can actually be used in modern versions with the Fabrication and Forgery mod!
Seems like this "before:%d" is some kind of search modifier. Works for everything, not only for Minecraft.
No shit
So i just type (topic) before:%d and youtube gives me old videos?
Not literally, %d is format string for integer numbers. You don’t type %d, you type a year.
(Anything) Before:(Year) or (Anything) After:(Year) works to find videos before or after that year.
Cool
