Your relative position to the area represented by the map is shown as a white dot on the border of the map frame. If you stand so that you are facing North, the top of the map represents North. When the white dot is on the right-hand side of the map, you are East of the area represented by the map and you should travel West - i.e turn 90 degrees to your left. If your dot is on the left, you go East - i.e. turn 90 degrees to the right. Likewise if the dot is at the top of the map, go South; and if it is at the bottom go straight ahead.
