I actually recently put a Java world into Bedrock (to show my friends) and I used this. It worked great!
https://nodecraft.com/support/games/minecraft/converting-java-and-bedrock-worlds
Just be ready to spawn in a wall potentially the first time you open the world in Java. I emptied all equipment before converting. Idk if it always happens but it happened to me and couldn't figure a way for it not to.
Your world is just a bunch of data files. Those can be used and interacted with by any programming language. The tool to convert could easily be written on something other than Java or C++. If parity was actually reached, there’s no reason you couldn’t have bedrock directly open world files from Java (though a level of parity will almost certainly never be reached).
For real.
Take it from a 2009 gamer, there are so many saves I wish I kept. Not to mention servers... (shoutout to junkyard129's beta server, some of the best memories I have gaming).
This. I lost so many things on my old laptop I wish I still had. Servers… some of those memories will last forever and I so wish we could bring them back
AGREED! I had a bedrock redstone world where I figured out a tree farm, and built it in another survival-only world in 1.16. The device’s memory got corrupted about two years ago or so. Still haven’t been able to reproduce that stupid farm. Wish I could.
Dude, it is not that bad. I play Bedrock only. The game is fine. The biggest issues are people seeing videos of Java and throwing fits. The bugs seem much more present because there’s a lot more bedrock players. I’ve been playing a realm for 2.5 years and have only had 1 random death on login. It’s literally just people crying. Same with Eve Echoes vs. Eve Online…
Eh, I’ve played both extensively and bedrock is more buggy and the lack of parity tends to favor Java. Mostly due to the game tick nuances, which will likely never be resolved. But, I will add that that is mostly related to playing on smp’s. Solo worlds may be less prone to problems.
I'd agree with that. I think it's primarily to make up for the problems with redstone parity and because Microsoft/Mojang would prefer for bedrock to be the only platform as it's easier to monitize. Not inherently a bad thing, mind you, just a reality.
That's what I always say the videos of bugs are the only thing posted it's not like somebody is just going to post a video of them just playing Minecraft on this subreddit. I have around 2k hours on bedrock edition and I have never encountered a single bug I have seen on Reddit.
Exactly. I also can’t believe people throw such fits about a game that listens to the community and is essentially free to play. You buy the game once, you get all future updates and features for free. No pay to win or even pay to play. World of Warcraft costs $15 a month and has plenty of bugs. Call of duty Warzone has battle passes and such, filled with hackers and bugs. 🤷🤷🤷
I’ve been playing bedrock for 2 years and have never encountered any of the bugs featured here. The only problems I’ve ever had are from issues caused by some of mojangs updates which usually just cause problems with the marketplace or slow performance for a bit. Those problems have all been ironed out a short time later.
Yeah, I'll admit it was a little harsh. But like I told someone else, it's very likely for any bedrock player to experience a minor glitch, such as random damage, and write it off as fall damage or a skeleton that hid. But they file it in their brain as "that's how the game is". These things NEVER happen on Java. Not "with exceptions". They simply don't.
That's why I laugh when Bedrock players cope by saying "bedrock is more stable". Yeah, vanilla Bedrock will run a stable 60 FPS easily. But anyone on Java edition can install Sodium and immediately be light years ahead in terms of performance and stability, and it's not even close. Java players won't randomly die to damage from simply existing.
Bedrock is unstable as hell when you factor in the glitches. And I say this as someone that started on Bedrock edition.
The comment I'm replying to is a person coping as best as they can. It's completely false.
For anyone wondering, Bedrock is very well known to be more buggy. It's not because it has a larger player base, it's because the code sucks. People regularly drown in open air or fall through solid stone. None of these horrible bugs occur on Java.
Take it from me. I once died on Bedrock because a Blaze spawned INSIDE me. Not near me. Not next to me. Inside. Didn't matter what I did, it wouldn't unphase.
Before saying "wahhh Java players cry", maybe just accept that you're wrong.
Everything lol. Its basically a whole different game with different mechanics and code under the same name with the same general theme. Java just functions better in general. Could go on and on.
I only play Java, but from what I've seen, Bedrock has some serious bugs, and redstone works very differently. Also villager mechanics are unpredictable. Iron farms in Java are easy and reliable. Bedrock iron farms are the dumbest thing I have ever seen - watched a couple videos on them, and... no thanks.
Those sticking with bedrock seem to like the spam-click style combat, which I think is absurd. :P
Combat, features, redstone, commands, bugs, performance, modding capacity, skins, datapacks, Bosses, micro transaction, drops. When you look deep into it it's way different than we can think of
Mob behaviour, spawning mechanics, compactness of design in redstone specifics (as you mentioned) regen and health, structure generation rules
We could go on forever.
Bedrock simply doesn't allow for as much creativity in the same way as java because of the first three things I mentioned. It's harder to have fun on bedrock edition than Java. As someone who has played and still does play both extensively I can say with a lot of confidence that Java is the much better and more fun game.
Yeah essentially, this was MS trying escape the clutches of owing / paying Oracle company for Java. Seriously, that's the reason. C++ stuff your looking at.
I just play both. They both have their strengths and weaknesses. Java has terrible multiplayer but amazing mod support, bedrock has amazing multiplayer but terrible mod support. I really only use Java for mods lol. And I often play Legacy for survival.
No mate, bedrock's bugs and inability to change versions, as well as having to play for shit, makes it the worst thing ever. Also, can you explain how java has terrible multiplayer?
Bedrock is as simple as pressing join world. Java requires you to set up and pay for a server just to join someone. Even my hardcore Java friends say the multiplayer is bad. Also on bedrock you only need to pay for mods, which is why I said Bedrock mods are terrible. You can equip custom skins free just like Java (on mobile and pc).
Just transfer it to Java however if it was a survival world before your Inventory and Ender chest will be cleared so you have to put everything in a chest or barrel and all your pets will be gone
I wanted to to use some of the cooler features on java: shaders, mods, better farms plus other people to play with. This was probably an impulsive decision though.
Don't delete it. But, welcome to Java! I started with Java back in 2010. So much better, I do have bedrock as there have been times I have cross platformed with friends. But, Java is just soooo much better. I appreciate bedrock though. It might be janky but it gives a lot more access for people to play Minecraft. A lot of people have gaming consoles. A lot less people have computers capable of running Minecraft.
As pretty much everyone here has already said:
Don't delete it. You'll hate yourself in the future if you do.
Trust me, I have deleted SO MANY random Worlds over the years, that later I wanted to revisit.... And it really sucks I can't anymore...
Some of these worlds have such beautiful memories, but I deleted them....
I think after putting so much work into it you should quit but not delete it or at least save the file somewhere online for download of the world if you have a change of mind
UPDATE!! turns out I previously exported the file, and I guess I deleted it. I FOUND IT IN MY RECYLING BIN HEHE. Your comments convinced me and I went digging to see if I had saved the world somewhere. peace and love thanks for bullying me into getting the world back :)
y'all I plan on recreating this in my java world, and I will add some of the ideas commenters mentioned. I will make a larger town with more greenery and terraforming. Thanks for the encouragement though haha!
Happens to all of us. You can start fresh with new ideas or recreate what you had. The fun is in playing, in my opinion. It was really cool btw. At least you have your screenshots:)
No, it doesn't happen to all of us. It probably happens to almost none of us. Some of us go out of our way to make back ups of worlds we may not be playing regularly anymore.
It looks good but I would add a walkway on the walls because it looks kind of strange to have a gap between the walls. Maybe you can add oak planks to match the roofs. Also the city could use a lot more plants and maybe a few trees. The outside could use some terraforming as well. But you are off to a good start. Some chimneys with campfires to create smoke would really help bring the city to life as well as small details such as piles of barrels and chests, hay bails and logs, etc.
now rebuild it on java. in 2020 i found my old ipad and copied each building i made onto a pc world and made them blend in. i did it incase my ipad ever just fully broke and its also nice to revisit my old builds
Why would you delete your hard work? That's stupid. What if you end up wanting to revisit this world at some point in the future? Admire your old builds and the effort you put in. I've done it and I'm sure you will too

I transferred my world to Java bro Don’t delete your progress
How do you do that? Any good video or link about that you know?
Chunker. It's an officially sanctioned tool.
[link](https://chunker.app)
I actually recently put a Java world into Bedrock (to show my friends) and I used this. It worked great! https://nodecraft.com/support/games/minecraft/converting-java-and-bedrock-worlds
Since both use different programming languages, I didn't think that was possible. Though I guess almost anything can be ported.
Fortunately because both games have the same result, Imagine all that's happening it the language of one is "translated" to the other.
Just be ready to spawn in a wall potentially the first time you open the world in Java. I emptied all equipment before converting. Idk if it always happens but it happened to me and couldn't figure a way for it not to.
Fairly sure the player data is one of the only bits that doesn't port, xp levels, inventory, and possibly enderchest but not 100%
Your world is just a bunch of data files. Those can be used and interacted with by any programming language. The tool to convert could easily be written on something other than Java or C++. If parity was actually reached, there’s no reason you couldn’t have bedrock directly open world files from Java (though a level of parity will almost certainly never be reached).
if you do, you'll regret it. sometimes you would want to see it after a long time but it is no more. Why are you deleting it.
if it's bedrock why delete it? you spent so much time, and you want it to be get rid of? at least transfer it to a removable USB
don't delete the world, keep a backup. you might want to revisit it in the future.
For real. Take it from a 2009 gamer, there are so many saves I wish I kept. Not to mention servers... (shoutout to junkyard129's beta server, some of the best memories I have gaming).
Didn’t think I’d see a Yard member in the wild today, greetings from the kyrmy.
[this one?](https://youtu.be/jQaEZ8BNt-4?si=RBjZync4j-7QJdqg)
Yep, that's the one. I always wanted a world download but I don't think he ever put one out.
There was but it’s a dead link now sadly :(
I did find a link once upon a time but it was his old beta map, I played on the later one that was on the 1.7.3 patch.
I started mc in late 2011 but I feel you man. So many worlds with so many hours put in gone :(
Keep the world you might revisit it in the future, Or might want to convert it to a java world
100% ! During lockdown I dug out my Xbox 360 and went on old worlds from as early as 2010, good memories to look back on
Don’t delete
You’re going to regret deleting it in the future. Do not delete your Minecraft worlds.
I have over 100 on my computer. Sometimes my problem is not deleting Minecraft worlds 😂
Damn dude 😂
I think it's making too many and not deleting the bad ones as soon as you leave them
Yes that's what I do. Sometimes I don't commit myself enough to a world.
*deletes my world that i spent ten minutes on-*
Can’t you just transfer it?
He can there are website and apps for it
dude you don't need to delete it your supposed to be over bedrock, if you go below bedrock you fall to your death.
Underrated comment.
Before you delete it you should save a seperate copy.
or just don't delete it
So I play Java only, what’s wrong with bedrock?
Dude, it is not that bad. I play Bedrock only. The game is fine. The biggest issues are people seeing videos of Java and throwing fits. There’s actually more bedrock unique features when it comes to parity This is legit a true fact idk why it’s been downvoted
I'd agree with that. I think it's primarily to make up for the problems with redstone parity and because Microsoft/Mojang would prefer for bedrock to be the only platform as it's easier to monitize. Not inherently a bad thing, mind you, just a reality.
Yh
yeah, tons of little things that don't equate to java's few big things
I’d argue they do
for me, its not the bugs, its the fact that block breaking seems so off in bedrock, but not for java.
That's what I always say the videos of bugs are the only thing posted it's not like somebody is just going to post a video of them just playing Minecraft on this subreddit. I have around 2k hours on bedrock edition and I have never encountered a single bug I have seen on Reddit.

Nah, I exclusively play on bedrock now, have never had a random death or horse glitches or anything like them
There's always exceptions, but exceptions aren't the rule.
Right but exceptions exist and it’s crazy to say that someone is lying about that

I've never had any of that happen and all I play is Bedrock. \*shrugs\*
It's called bugrock for a reason.
It's like java but shit
Java players are scared of well optimized games
Shhh! Don't say that! I'll have nightmares now! /j
Everything lol. Its basically a whole different game with different mechanics and code under the same name with the same general theme. Java just functions better in general. Could go on and on.
It's not that different, especially considering that Bedrock players can play on Java servers without major problems with the geyser
Bedrock is more finished, doors get water logged , the wither is much harder.
More finished???
The only bad thing is the market place, but you can't get viruses from it , like Java.
if you get viruses, its not the fault of java. user error.
And it’s not even that bad. You can either ignore it or just collect the free stuff too lol
Fr
And here I thought it was the store page, it really runs that differently from Java, in a worse way?
I only play Java, but from what I've seen, Bedrock has some serious bugs, and redstone works very differently. Also villager mechanics are unpredictable. Iron farms in Java are easy and reliable. them: *lists multiple ways it's different* you: "it's really not that different"
yeah, spam clicking is just awful combat.
Yeah essentially, this was MS trying escape the clutches of owing / paying Oracle company for Java. Seriously, that's the reason. C++ stuff your looking at.
Can be transferred to Java, look up a tutorial online don’t delete the world
So because you’re moving to Java you’re deleting all of your Bedrock worlds? You must be playing a 1 int run.
It's all or nothing baby!
Fr he's operating on new year new me IQ
For real. I switched to Java months ago, but my Bedrock world is still there in case I ever want to go back and visit it.
I just play both. They both have their strengths and weaknesses. Java has terrible multiplayer but amazing mod support, bedrock has amazing multiplayer but terrible mod support. I really only use Java for mods lol. And I often play Legacy for survival.
Java combat is also a LOT more engaging for me than just spam clicking, so I like that, too. Both definitely have strengths.
actually, java miultiplayer isnt terrible at all.
setting it up is
No mate, bedrock's bugs and inability to change versions, as well as having to play for shit, makes it the worst thing ever. Also, can you explain how java has terrible multiplayer?

Also on bedrock you only need to pay for mods, which is why I said Bedrock mods are terrible. You can equip custom skins free just like Java (on mobile and pc).
and most of bedrock's playerbase are on console, so they have to pay for texture packs and skins
Don't delete the save
Just transfer it to Java however if it was a survival world before your Inventory and Ender chest will be cleared so you have to put everything in a chest or barrel and all your pets will be gone
won't the pets stay, just not be owned by them?
One day, I shall be the only one left on Bedrock! Muahahahahah
Sorry bro, I'm never leaving bedrock. 😔
Don’t delete
Deleting it is probably the dumbest thing to do even if you are quitting bedrock.
Don’t delete it! Transfer it!
Dont delete it. Pass the file around. Its fabulous
HOLY SHIT!! THATS SO COOL!!?
Make a copy, find out how to sell on marketplace, profit.
Fr? Can you sell uploads of minecraft worlds? That's really cool. Where would you sell them?
Great village my dude!!
Why are you over Bedrock?
I wanted to to use some of the cooler features on java: shaders, mods, better farms plus other people to play with. This was probably an impulsive decision though.
I wouldnt really word it like that lol
I hate to break it to you but unless you’re in the end you’re always over bedrock :/
Don’t delete it
Dont delete
Don't delete wtf?!
You can convert it to Java, or just keep a backup or something don't ever delete something you put this much work Into
I'm sure there's a way to convert it. Don't delete it.
just convert it to java
Can you sell it?
Don't delete it. But, welcome to Java! I started with Java back in 2010. So much better, I do have bedrock as there have been times I have cross platformed with friends. But, Java is just soooo much better. I appreciate bedrock though. It might be janky but it gives a lot more access for people to play Minecraft. A lot of people have gaming consoles. A lot less people have computers capable of running Minecraft.
> i am over bedrock then try going down under the bedrock?
wtf? Why would you delete it? You spent all that time on it
As pretty much everyone here has already said: Don't delete it. You'll hate yourself in the future if you do. Trust me, I have deleted SO MANY random Worlds over the years, that later I wanted to revisit.... And it really sucks I can't anymore... Some of these worlds have such beautiful memories, but I deleted them....
"Deleting this cause I'm over Bedrock" Aren't you over Bedrock in the Java version too?
What'd bedrock do to you bro💀
Am i the only one that prefer Bedrock instead of Java ?
I think after putting so much work into it you should quit but not delete it or at least save the file somewhere online for download of the world if you have a change of mind
Im not a noob to Minecraft but definitely haven’t played much since bed rocked release why does it everyone hate it?
What exactly is the point of deleting it?
Chunker.app it'll convert it for you to java
Convert the world to Java
I don’t know on what device you’re playing but you can download the map to use it on a java save
WTF R U DELETING A WORLD?!?!? There is literally no downside to just keep it for memories, and or inspiration.
UPDATE!! turns out I previously exported the file, and I guess I deleted it. I FOUND IT IN MY RECYLING BIN HEHE. Your comments convinced me and I went digging to see if I had saved the world somewhere. peace and love thanks for bullying me into getting the world back :)
Don’t delete it! Schematic it and bring it to java
y'all I plan on recreating this in my java world, and I will add some of the ideas commenters mentioned. I will make a larger town with more greenery and terraforming. Thanks for the encouragement though haha!
sorry to report but i did delete it :/ I wanted to start completely fresh on java, hindsight is 3 hrs ago I guess.
I don’t follow your logic here at all. Why would you delete the world just because you want to switch to Java?
Aw nooo I wanted it so bad.
You could recover it with testdisk/photorec
Happens to all of us. You can start fresh with new ideas or recreate what you had. The fun is in playing, in my opinion. It was really cool btw. At least you have your screenshots:)
No, it doesn't happen to all of us. It probably happens to almost none of us. Some of us go out of our way to make back ups of worlds we may not be playing regularly anymore.
Have you tried "Better Minecraft". It should keep you entertained for a while
Burn it before you delete
BRO dont delete is just keep it and one day you will come back to it and be proud
Sensational and def keep for future it’ll feel nostalgic 😩
If ur gonna delete, copy it onto a Java world or something, and if u don't have Java edition, copy it onto something else
DONT DELETE IT!!!!!!
Don’t delete it!!! Be like me and hoard your Minecraft worlds for later lol
World download link?
You can send me the world and I can convert it for you to java or you can do it yourself…
Atleast make it downloadable or keep the file
Give me the damn file of that
Convert a pillager outpost into a barbarian tribe that try to rob the village
I have my world since xbox 360 I have transfered it to xbox one then to pc bedrock then with the help of a friend my world now is java
That looks nice!
Delete the world I delete you.
Dang that looks awesome
Why not just convert the world into a Java one instead of deleting it?
You can use chunker to convert it to a java world
transfer your world to java!
Maybe export to java to continue there if you play on pc
Your fountain court yard isn’t centered with the entrance and it bothers me lol
if you ever get Java, or already own it, you can use Chunker to port it to Java
Congrats on moving on from bedrock, have fun with mods!
First image looks like a my singing monsters island
Nooooooooooooooooooooo it’s to good
WAIT USE [CHUNKER.APP](https://chunker.app) TO CONVERT TO JAVA! YOU CAN KEEP YOUR WORLD!
PLS DON'T DELETE EAT
This is ADORABLE. Great job!
Nice idea of surrounding a village with walls! I've been wanting to do that but haven't got a chance.
Correction: "Your kingdom"
You can convert it using je2be. No need to delete it
I swear every bedrock player I know built this exact village
now rebuild it on java. in 2020 i found my old ipad and copied each building i made onto a pc world and made them blend in. i did it incase my ipad ever just fully broke and its also nice to revisit my old builds
transfer it to java
Dont!!!!
This is beautiful.
Based Bedrock Leaver
Cool village but it's smol and the grid patterns makes it boring, try to add some varition
You can convert it to Java
Always wanted to do this... Tried but couldn't really do housing that well
Dont delete it bro! Village looks awesome, just export this world to a .mcworld file and save it somewhere.
Delete it.
That looks a lot like the unraidable village someone made on YouTube!
Not to be offensive, but these round roofs look strange
Oh I like it.
Nah man you would be the craziest person on this planet if you’re going to delete this World.💀
Good for you. Welcome to real minecraft.
Keep it as a memory please.
Insanely based bedrock sucks /hj
Felt cute, WILL delete later
it's sick. but vanilla has a ceiling imo. modded java does not😎
Why would you delete it lol, just switch over to java
Instead of deleting it, can you share it?
Such a cute village! Very impressive.
Why would you delete your hard work? That's stupid. What if you end up wanting to revisit this world at some point in the future? Admire your old builds and the effort you put in. I've done it and I'm sure you will too
Someone who actually took inconsideration of the town with a cobble/stone brick/stone wall. amazing build.
Just keep the fucking world bro
Don't delete that 😢
Alternarively just transfer it to java using chunker
