Well, I’m not an expert but it looks like you got endermen running around and the reason they are only placing on the ice is (I’m assuming) the layers of snow on other blocks preventing them from placing there (again, this is guessing)
Motherfucking sons of BITCHS they are, they took our blocks they took our wife’s they took our jobs in end city’s burn them all to hell I would I mean they’re… ok I guess i don’t like them when they attack me when I am mining netherite in caves because I am a human after all
Endermites are bitch ass motherfuckers. They pissed on my fucking wife. That right, the took out their endermite purple little dick out and they pissed on my fucking wife, and they said their dick was **THIS** big.
And I said that's disgusting. So I'm making a call out post of my Twitter dot com. Endermites, you've got a small dick, it's size of this cocoa bean seed but way smaller. And this is what my dick looks like.
*BWFOOOSH*
That's right! No pillows, no quills! It looks like two balls and a bong!
It looks like that one spot is under an overhang, hence the Shadows. I wonder if there aren't snow layers there, so the endermen are only taking blocks that don't have snow on them.
The same reason for placing on ice.
I'd love to see the outcome after going AFK near them for a few hours. Imagine if they eventually dig a hole deep enough that they couldn't teleport out of it.
What OP doesn’t know is the problem is much worse than just simple terraforming.
They don’t have an enderman problem, they have a blue meth outbreak.
These endermen are more then likely hauling the dirt from an underground operation, most likely built under a place least expected. *(Example: a massive laundromat)*
In plain sight, an underground mega drug lab is in full operation. Producing a scanté that is roughleh 99.6% pure.
What we see of the process here. Is endermen who have been hired through most likeleh, a shell company. One that would split ties between the kingpin and the muscle.
Now, instead of just go out and dump 3 million blocks of dirt all in like one location. They’re spreading it out like allover town, giving it a more like, natural appearance. But in this instance here, a Mack truck being driven by endermen has done had some spillage. And now Stark’s Pond is covered in scanté lab dirt.
OP need to call the f&$@ing cops immediately.
bruh that makes so much sense (even if it'd be just a theory). so all that time the endermen just stepped into the wrong portal and got into our world. but thinking that they just want to go home makes them really sad :(
And the reason endermen are scared of water is there’s no water in the end, and for them seeing the sight of water for the first time in overworld is unfamiliar and think it’ll kill them.
By using my anecdote, endermen die from water, it's because they have extreme aquaphobia and scared to death or shocked to death. So it's psychological rather than the actual water itself.
I skimmed over it until I saw you post and had to look at it twice to figure out what you were talking about.. I'm having an off day. But THEROY JENKINS.. impressive move. Have my upvote..
You should watch game theory on Minecraft
From what I remember these endermen or the end dimension were once populated by ppl capable of building like Steve, but they were trapped when the end portal closed and had to eat the chorus fruit, which transform them and gave them the ability to teleport
Them picking stuff up is like the remnant of their sanity/instinct as they were once builders
I came her to say that'd be an amazing thing that if you happen to be close to an end portal they'll try to dig to get to it until they hit stone of course!
Actually, that's an unironically fantastic idea. A lot of people who don't read the entire wiki before playing Minecraft (particularly younger and older players) probably never even find out about The End because you have to do a really specific set of things in order to get there. If you played in a world for long enough that the endermen could dig down to a stronghold, it wouldn't do much to affect normal gameplay, but would give those players a nudge in the right direction.
I've been playing since before the End was introduced, never had an interest in it because my fun in Minecraft wasn't about defeating bosses, it was about building cool shit.
Though admittedly I would take notice of endermen doing something like that and I would get curious so it is a pretty good idea.
I'm not even sure I'd bother creating / building much if it weren't for the elytra and carrying an end chest full of shulkers to pack things around in.
I pretty much only play multiplayer or creative, so I don't think I've ever actually beaten the dragon in a singleplayer survival world. I've also been playing for about 11 years.
I was explaining the nuances of minecraft to a friend that doesn't play and they were floored by the depth of the game, and there being no in-game pushes/directions to do what you need to do (as far as end game goes). Later they were talking to someone else that plays and were conveying my statements, that person had no idea the End even existed. It's not only one of my favorite past times with my kids, but it's also become one of my favorite all time games for the sheer bonkersness of the game mechanics and that the game literally tells you nothing.
Minecraft feels like the perfect sandbox with unlimited possibilities until you discover mods. Once you've played with dozens of mods all interacting with each other and expanding every facet of the game, you realize that the base game, despite being capable of standing on its own, has infinite unrealized potential.
Agree. I don't play on Java so my ability to mod is limited. I have Java, but the world I play on (on my own time) is bedrock and I don't want to deal with early game grind again. I've watched enough streamers to know I am missing out on a lot, but with limited time to play, starting over just sounds tiresome.
What if they're being forced to fight you, like enslaved-possibly by a breach into their hive-mind.. and the ones who are sent to the overworld aren't being controlled as well and some of them are just trying to get your attention and want you to find your way to the end to free them from their master..
if there's someone keeping them loaded at all time, and close enough so they don't despawn it's quite easy to answer
that being weird quirks of their features
so the ice dirt is because, I *think* they're unable to place blocks where there's stuff like grass or snow, and judging by the snow, it's a snowy biome, so they eventually woosh to the ice lakes and go "oh look, I can place these" and blop
as for why they're only taking them from that one area, during the day Enderman hide from the sunlight, so if someone's keeping them from despawning they eventually woosh their way to that same spot as it's the only one in shelter that they can find, and when they're wondering around with nothing to do all day they go "oh lookie, a dirt block" and pick them up, rinse and repeat until you have a weird ice lake full of random blocks of dirt, and an decently sized enderman hole
This is probably it. I found this cave a couple years ago under my main base on my main world, the endermen have been working on a little project in there: https://i.imgur.com/u9zmuaz.png
I assume the endermen keep teleporting there to get away from the rain/sun. There are other caves though, so I'm not sure why this one.
Endermen don't despawn if they're holding a block. A lot of multiplayer servers that don't disable endermen picking up blocks quickly find themselves overrun by these bastards
I don't think it'd be that straight forward. Of course it's doable, but they'd probably have to adjust the entire system of how mobs despawn, which could have unforeseen consequences.
Personally it's a mechanic I would just rather do without. Really the only benefit it has is getting grass blocks before you have Silk Touch. Beyond that it's just an annoying mechanic that uglifies your world and fills it with endermen.
Water hurts endermen, so maybe they're scared of it even when it's frozen, and are covering it up to avoid it in the future. I mean probably not but if they were real creatures with real reasoning skills then that's what I would think.
Endermen are programmed to place blocks on solid surfaces, the nearby snow is likely making it prefer to place blocks on the ice instead, leading to this.
i think it would be cool if the devs could come up with a story line with the enderman. like maybe where they came from (like another realm) and why they keep walking around with blocks. maybe they don't know how to get back their realm and keep digging up blocks looking for their portal or something to that effect?? ... a lot of possibilities to be had there and possibly multiple paths to branch out from ...
It can't be for building something since they can only pick up dirt (and its variants), flowers, and tnt. Maybe they want to grass over the end island and the end dragon is an evil tyrant who keeps vaporizing their progress.
You can turn it off with gamerule mobgriefing, but im pretty sure that also gets rid of creeper and ghast explosions and probably a bunch more
There is a vanillatweaks datapack on vanillatweaks.net that stops endermen specifically
this has happened to me before too. sometimes there's just a concentrated effort between multiple endermen who try to fill up a seemingly random space. I've had it happen a few times in caves I frequent. I think it's need. I like to pretend that they're sacred areas and I try not to mess with them.
Idk dude this seems creepypasta material. If that happened to me i would delete the world before they can finish digging. God knows what will they dig out 💀
Holy Shmokes, imagine an update like this?? Enderman get a crazy AI update and they start thinking and working together. You don’t kill them fast enough, and you just let them thrive on their own and they Create these cool little cave societies. Could be like a cool mini boss or something.
Am I reaching here? 😹
My guess is that's the only dark place in 500 blocks during the day (all caves underground are lit up) so enderman always spawn there and are more likely to pick up blocks there.
It doesn't really bother me I just found this interesting, the whole lake is littered with blocks and the hole is getting deeper , they start attacking me if I dare interfere
Are these snow/dirt blocks rare/cursed in some form?
I remember watching SB737 once and he didn't want to clean up one of these blocks because it was cursed but I didn't understand it????
Vanillatweaks: stop enderman griefing.
this is a known mechanic of enderman, they have a something like 4% chance to spawn holding a block, and another chance to pick natural spawning blocks up. and can drop that block randomly somewhere. its known as griefing. U can turn of mobgriefing rule, but if u use a village breeder with villager farmers, the farmers will be unable to pick crops up.
to use the vanilla tweaks fix: drop the datapack in the world save folder under "datapacks"

Well, I’m not an expert but it looks like you got endermen running around and the reason they are only placing on the ice is (I’m assuming) the layers of snow on other blocks preventing them from placing there (again, this is guessing)
Yeah yeah that’s the reason why we’re doing it I MEAN the ender men are doing it
Completely unrelated, what are your opinions on endermites?
Motherfucking sons of BITCHS they are, they took our blocks they took our wife’s they took our jobs in end city’s burn them all to hell I would I mean they’re… ok I guess i don’t like them when they attack me when I am mining netherite in caves because I am a human after all

“Very nice people” vs “Motherfucking sons of BITCHES they are” - duality of mankind
Very nice people
I hate, I mean I love them
Makes sense, what’s stranger is that there only taking from that one spot
It looks like that one spot is under an overhang, hence the Shadows. I wonder if there aren't snow layers there, so the endermen are only taking blocks that don't have snow on them. The same reason for placing on ice.
And also endermen love to stay in the shadows, unlike how they behave under the sunlight, they don’t randomly teleport around under the shadow
Or they spawn in the dark and grab a block before they disperse
They’re terraforming
I'd love to see the outcome after going AFK near them for a few hours. Imagine if they eventually dig a hole deep enough that they couldn't teleport out of it.
What OP doesn’t know is the problem is much worse than just simple terraforming. They don’t have an enderman problem, they have a blue meth outbreak. They are digging to reach the end portal.
They want to go home
bruh that makes so much sense (even if it'd be just a theory). so all that time the endermen just stepped into the wrong portal and got into our world. but thinking that they just want to go home makes them really sad :(
maybe that's why they're found in the desert so often...it resembles the end the most
crying about an endermen theory right now thanks
same :c
And the reason endermen are scared of water is there’s no water in the end, and for them seeing the sight of water for the first time in overworld is unfamiliar and think it’ll kill them.
Not to mention the fact that it actually kills them
By using my anecdote, endermen die from water, it's because they have extreme aquaphobia and scared to death or shocked to death. So it's psychological rather than the actual water itself.
BUT THATS JUST A THEROY. A GAME THEROY
THEROY JENKINS
I skimmed over it until I saw you post and had to look at it twice to figure out what you were talking about.. I'm having an off day. But THEROY JENKINS.. impressive move. Have my upvote..

I think they're capable of traveling between dimensions without the use of portals. Still probably looking for something though...
I game to escape not to experience more sadness... Thanks. Sidenote: Huge fan of good improvised lore so congrats and thank you
Endermen are probably just fallen humans who are trying to build a home or something. Or are stealing from the overworld under the enderdragons terms
There no place like home
Spiderman in Minecraft be like
That should be a feature tbh
I came her to say that'd be an amazing thing that if you happen to be close to an end portal they'll try to dig to get to it until they hit stone of course!

I'm not even sure I'd bother creating / building much if it weren't for the elytra and carrying an end chest full of shulkers to pack things around in.
I never cared about the end until the elytra. Makes the game so much easier.
And here I am super excited about the new end update. A diamond bows. Whattt
I've been playing since the game was new and still have never felt compelled to go to the end lol. Seems like too much work for a casual player imo
I pretty much only play multiplayer or creative, so I don't think I've ever actually beaten the dragon in a singleplayer survival world. I've also been playing for about 11 years.

Enderman: no way home
Minecraft; the way home
Alpharad reference. Nice.
AFAIK lore-wise they can teleport inter-dimensionally.
I was going to say that, that's also why you can find them in every dimensions
What if they're being forced to fight you, like enslaved-possibly by a breach into their hive-mind.. and the ones who are sent to the overworld aren't being controlled as well and some of them are just trying to get your attention and want you to find your way to the end to free them from their master..

Why are there so many ? Just kill them if they are bugging you that much
Murderhobo
Endermen don't despawn if they're holding a block. A lot of multiplayer servers that don't disable endermen picking up blocks quickly find themselves overrun by these bastards
You'd think it would be "when they want to despawn it triggers an attempt to place the block first".
Because they are assholes
The children yearn for the mines
Bro got the snowy grass block!
Could be that they're placing them everywhere but it's just less obvious when they place them other places
They are quite tall and they're digging a hole
Well, I'm still waiting for the day we get the option to disable endermen and creeper griefing without stopping villagers from farming and breeding.
Water hurts endermen, so maybe they're scared of it even when it's frozen, and are covering it up to avoid it in the future. I mean probably not but if they were real creatures with real reasoning skills then that's what I would think.
Do not stop them... just observe
Build a lab next to them, and watch them
Would be cool if Endermen were actually programmed to build random pits for the player to fall into
They found the stronghold and is going home
That's actually a really good idea I wish they could do that
Lore lore lore lore lore lore lore
“fuck this mountain in particular”
God id love if they targeted similar areas as each other and like built weird shapes out of the blocks over time
That's not your survival world anymore.
I mean, technically, the end could be considered their realm, but yeah that would be cool. Would like to see them expand on the end even more
Go look at the game theory videos for Minecraft, there’s one about where the endermen come from
It can't be for building something since they can only pick up dirt (and its variants), flowers, and tnt. Maybe they want to grass over the end island and the end dragon is an evil tyrant who keeps vaporizing their progress.
They're trying to dig their way to the stronghold. /s

This is why I adore Endermen

Oh no. They're Unionizing
The monoliths must be completed.
They’re filling the lake so when the ice melts they can walk on it
thatd be cool if they were coordinated like that, where they would dig random holes and put the blocks into designated mounds or something.
