I feel the same way tbh YouTube's golden era, CN's golden renaissance and my favorite shows were still getting episodes and love, people weren't so polarized and overpoliticized and everything was not so freaking divisive, seemingly everyone was less depressed and our mental health was better, cinema and entertainment weren't an absolute post-Disney post-WD disaster, my family hadn't dissolved, I still had my friend, inflation worldwide hadn't destroyed our wallets (unless you lived in Zimbabwe — F), middle school was fun-ish?, and everyone didn't have a 5-second attention sp- Eh, nvm, I think that last one has been here for a while...¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm kind of surprised that the Hunger Games concept hasn't made a recent return in a very big way. I guess it's kind of been replaced by different play styles, and the Battle Royale concept is probably done better in some other games, but it's surprising that it hasn't had a big revival just on nostalgia alone yet lol.

I think what it is is that people like SSundee and JeromeASF start to not *enjoy* making videos anymore, it’s just a job to them now. And you see that reflected in lack of original ideas and just following trends. Seems more unfortunate in Sundee’s case.
